Bound to the eldritch Sea: SSS-Tier Navigator
Chapter 60: Contract Cantor
Hearing that, Amelia nodded. "He really went all out. I only found out the whole plan right at the moment he sank to the bottom."
At that, Amelia pulled out a remote control with a button pushed all the way down. "Luna, how’s your kill count? The kills on the Mist Phantom King and the Falcon Mist Phantom should go on my record."
Before Luna could even speak, Nova shot a jealous look. "Don’t worry. I just drove the thing. Luna handled all the Vulcan Cannon fire."
Hearing that, Amelia finally let out a breath of relief. "In that case, we totally pulled it off. Now we just wait for Kevin to wake up, and we can leave this damn island."
Celula and Monchhichi listened to the chat and both wore worried looks.
Monchhichi piped up, "What if he doesn’t wake up by dawn?"
Amelia shook her head with a smile. "Relax, he’ll wake up real soon."
Hearing her sound so sure, the other girls around them furrowed their brows.
Suddenly, a splash erupted from the water, and an Elite Fish Fiend shot right onto the deck.
While everyone watched in shock, the Fish Fiend dragged over a burlap sack, dumped it on the deck, and revealed a huge, uncountable pile of Bloodmist Crystals.
Mixed in with the crystals were some unknown gear and Eldritch Artifacts, which clearly just dropped from the dead Eldritch Entities tonight.
Seeing this, Celula covered her mouth and gasped. "Holy crap! Did Kevin plan all this in advance? Telling a Fish Fiend to clean up the battlefield? We’re loaded!"
Over nearby, Stephanie spotted the loot on the deck, blinked a few times, and couldn’t hide her excitement.
She had just heard the girls talk about Kevin’s plan, and it made her even more obsessed with his brains, guts, and strength. "Kevin, I knew you were the best man."
After that, the girls started carefully counting up what they got.
Soon, they laid all the loot out one by one and arranged it neatly on the deck.
The haul this time was ridiculously huge.
Just for Bloodmist Crystals, they collected over a thousand.
They also dropped more than twenty other pieces of gear and weapons, all C-Tier.
As for rare stuff like potions and Eldritch Artifacts, they got a full seven.
Before the girls could even check each item, Amelia picked a bottle out of the pile and tossed it to the Elite Fish Fiend. "Do as your master says. Let him drink this."
The Fish Fiend scratched the back of its head, carefully pried the cap off, and poured it straight into Kevin’s mouth.
Pretty quickly, Kevin started coughing hard.
The blood-red eyes, wild aura, and twisted face all went back to normal. Even the wiped-out feeling from messing around with Luna was completely gone.
Kevin propped himself up and wiped his mouth. It tasted extra bitter right now. "Pfft pfft! Restoration Potion is still just as gross as ever."
With that, he grabbed five or six grenades and tossed them all to the Fish Fiend. "Take these, find a quiet spot, and kill yourself."
The Fish Fiend scratched its head again, didn’t hesitate at all, and sprinted toward the shore holding the grenades.
Right away, five or six explosions went off on the beach nearby. The Fiend’s five-meter body was blown straight to pieces.
Kevin checked his watch, frowned, and said, "An hour later than I expected. What happened?"
Hearing Kevin ask, the girls all looked down, stayed silent, and blushed.
They certainly weren’t going to tell Kevin that he’d just hooked up with Luna up in the air.
Only Amelia cleared her throat, leaned in close to Kevin’s ear, and told him everything she’d heard and figured out.
After hearing that he and Luna had been hooking up on the helicopter right in front of Nova, Kevin immediately turned his head to look at them.
The result completely shocked Kevin.
Without him noticing, Luna’s Affection stat had already jumped to 400. And Nova’s Affection was up to 100 as well.
Kevin frowned deeply, trying to figure it out in his head.
Luna had always had some weird little kinks. Every time Kevin pushed her, she seemed to get extra excited.
Thinking about how he and Luna had just rough sex in the armed helicopter, right in front of Nova, maybe it was just so intense that Luna’s Affection for him spiked.
As for why Nova suddenly got more Affection for him, Kevin had no idea.
Was it because he let her watch an adult show for free? Or because he outsmarted and killed the Mist Phantom King, earning her respect? Kevin just didn’t know.
Of course, he wasn’t planning to dig into it. None of that really mattered anyway.
What mattered was that Nova, a top-tier powerhouse from a past life, was now ready to sign the "Covenant of the Saint" with him.
With that in mind, Kevin walked over to Luna and gave her a tight hug. "Good job. Hurry up and start gathering the loot with Amelia."
Taking his lead, Luna’s face still red, she walked over to stand next to Amelia.
All the loot laid out on the deck was now theirs to claim.
Watching Luna and Amelia pack up the treasures one by one, Celula and Monchhichi felt a strong wave of jealousy.
But since they had just joined Kevin’s team, they were too shy to ask him for anything.
Especially a girl like Monchhichi, who was still holding back her feelings, didn’t want to look like she was begging or sucking up to him.
Only Stephanie couldn’t take it anymore. She stepped forward and protested, "This isn’t fair! Why are only you two getting to split the loot? I cleaned the deck and tidied up the rooms. I contributed too!"
Just as Stephanie was about to grab two Eldritch Artifacts from the deck, Luna snorted coldly. She casually pulled a bottle of Holy Spring infused with Eldritch Eyes from her waist and downed it in one gulp.
Right after, Luna’s eyes turned bright red, and a web of blood vessels spread through her pupils. A beam of red light shot straight out, hit Stephanie dead on, and froze her in place.
Stephanie was still frozen in a goofy pose, reaching out to grab the Eldritch Artifact.
Luna casually tossed the empty bottle into the sea and scoffed, "You think you deserve to share in the loot? Have you ever killed an Eldritch Entity? Have you ever been in a real fight? You just stayed under our protection and paid your protection fee by cleaning up. You don’t get a single bit of the loot, get it?"
Luna didn’t hold back at all.
Stephanie stood frozen, her eyes filled with resentment.
But the power gap between her and Luna was just too huge. Even after Luna and Amelia had taken all the loot off the deck, Stephanie was still stuck in place, unable to move.
Of course, Stephanie’s bossy attitude meant no one else felt bad for her or stuck up for her.
While the girls were busy focusing on Stephanie, Kevin already walked over to Nova and gave her a big hug. "Thanks for tonight."
Kevin could easily feel Nova’s body go stiff as he spoke.
But she didn’t pull away. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his waist and gave him a light pat. "Is this how you go about seducing other girls? Hehe..."
Nova giggled softly, her laugh full of charm.
Seeing that Nova wasn’t going to push him away, Kevin reached out and pressed his hand against the back of her neck.
Right then, right in everyone’s blind spot, a magical mark quickly appeared on the back of Nova’s neck.
The whole contract process went off without a hitch.
Because Kevin had gone through non-stop fights these past few days, his mental power and willpower had grown a lot. Nova didn’t even notice it happening, and before she knew it, she’d become Kevin’s covenant-bearer.
Only the moment the Covenant of the Saint took hold did a flood of information appear in Nova’s soul.
As she slowly processed it, Nova finally understood how her relationship with Kevin had changed.
She rolled her eyes at him, glaring with a fake pout, and softly complained, "You actually pulled it off."
[covenant-bearer:Nova]
[Affection :100(Admiration)]
[Contract Rank: Bronze]
[Reimbursement Rate: 15x]
[covenant-bearer Talent: S-Tier "Cursed Wraith Songstress" (Can absorb negative states like curses, poisons, and resentment to boost the voice. Uses the voice to send out soul waves that affect others’ emotions, mind, or even soul. The stronger the voice boost, the more powerful the soul wave.)]
[Talent Return: S-Tier "Cursed Wraith Songstress" (Gains 15x the strength boost from Nova)]
Kevin rubbed Nova’s hair, already over the moon inside.
He placed both hands on her shoulders, looked straight into her eyes, and said sincerely, "From now on, we’re real teammates."
With that said, Kevin started carefully studying Nova’s Talent.
Just as Kevin had guessed, Nova hadn’t explained her real Talent fully before.
In reality, Nova’s Talent was way stronger than she’d ever said.
Nova’s Cursed Wraith Songstress Talent could not only soak up other people’s bad vibes, but it could also absorb curses and poisons and turn them into her own power.
According to the Talent’s rules, all those negative states could be used to boost the singer’s voice.
Once the voice was boosted, it could release soul waves. These waves could mess with other people’s moods, minds, or even their souls.
In her past life, Nova must have pushed this Talent to its absolute limit, which let her control a ton of Eldritch Entities to fight alongside her.
Back then, Nova was an army of one, sitting at the very top of the entire scary sea.
Now that Kevin had access to Nova’s Talent, it meant he had the power too.
The only catch was that Kevin didn’t have Nova’s beautiful singing voice. So when he wanted to use the Cursed Wraith Songstress Talent, he’d probably have to find some weird alternative way to trigger those soul waves.
