Chapter 112: Deep Talk

Jia Hao watched from the side lines as the beast people dined. Soon, blood wine was served as ordered by Ming Tao and it became a full blown feast.

The guards joined in despite being on post and the cheetahs on the farm took turns in keeping watch so each of them could have a fair share of the fun. It was nice to be in an environment without any hate energy. He loved this for Mira. She needed the support now more than ever, even though the support was influenced by a skill only she could offer. Jia Hao knew it would take time but he felt relieved knowing that she would be hated less and respected.

His eyes scanned the environment as the cheetahs ate and drank. He did not have any blood wine, he did not want to over feed himself either. He knew someone not among the coalition was lurking in the shadows and waiting to strike and now that the cheetahs were carried away was the perfect opening for it so he remained vigilant.

"Jia Hao, my brother, loosen up and have some fun!" Ming Tao said as he clapped Jia Hao on the shoulder. He approached Jia Hao from behind and got to his side.

Jia Hao perceived the blood oozing out of Ming Tao’s mouth. He surely had his stomach fill.

"I would, but there is no rest for the Lion King even when away from pride activities." Jia Hao said. His eyes was still on everyone. No one looked suspicious and nothing looked suspicious either but he could not let his guard down even for a little second.

Not when his wife was pregnant again and in the midst of so many people. Speaking of pregnant. . .

Jia Hao turned to Ming Tao. He had a half grin on his face as he stared at the relaxed cheetah. The tale of Mira being with child was not for him to tell Ming Tao but he could tease the man a little for finally choosing to breed. "I hear you let yourself go wild the night before." Jia Hao said. He crossed his arms over his chest and had a brow raised as he stared at Ming Tao with wonder. "What changed? Could not keep your cock in your pants?"

Ming Tao choked on air. His cheeks reddened as he heard that. It seemed like Mira kissed and told. AGAIN!!

Yeesh. Could I not have some privacy with my wife? Why did she have to spill with the other husband? Ming Tao questioned in his mind. He wanted to pretend to lose focus and get out of this conversation but it looked like there was no way out of it. π‘“π˜³π‘’π‘’π“Œπ˜¦π˜£π˜―β„΄π‘£π˜¦π‘™.π˜€π‘œπ‘š

Jia Hao chuckled under his breath. "It’s okay. You don’t have to feel shy about it. I get it. I could not contain my member too." He admitted.

Ming Tao began to cough even more. He knew the two of them shared a woman yet he did not know why he found it inappropriate to discuss this. Or maybe it was appropriate since it was respectfully directed at their mate but that did not change the fact that he did not want to talk.

Ming Tao began to beat his chest. He acted as if he swallowed something heavy and it got stuck in his throat. Jia Hao’s grin widened. "I have lived among you long enough to know that would not work. So tell me, how did all your foolish hate turn into you mating? I want to know how she conquered you." Jia Hao pressed. He found this intriguing. Mira was a charmer, that was for sure but this man standing before him was the same one who got her into a near fatal accident that cost her her legs mobility. Maybe the question he should be asking was how Mira forgave him so easily to get into his bed. That is, if they did do the deed on a bed. Knowing Mira, Jia Hao could not be certain she chose to stick to tradition. The woman was a walking seduction. A walking goddess that made his mind instantly think about mating. He had missed her, all of her, and he could not deny the jealousy he felt to know she was not within his reach anymore. She was in a different land.

Jia Hao snapped out of his thoughts. He stared Ming Tao in the eye. He did not know if the cheetah spoke so he asked again. "So? Tell me, what changed?"

Ming Tao coughed. "Does she tell you everything?" He asked first. "Like every single thing, word for word."

"I told you, we hide nothing from each other." Jia Hao reminded. "But no, I smelt you on her. Not like you were any subtle with the marks you left on her skin. I am sure even a cub would know what you two were up to by seeing her." Jia Hao added.

Ming Tao’s eyes widened. He forgot about that part. He had been caught red handed by his own love bites.

"After I left the pride, I did a lot of self reflection. I hated how seeing her in pain made me feel. I hated what the future would have been if my actions had succeeded and if she had. . ." His words hung in his throat as the horrid memory replayed in his head. Ming Tao remembered her scream. He remembered her agony and the pool of blood that circled her body as it drained out of her. He remembered it all. It was scary. Dreadful. "Died." The word stifled out of his lips forcefully. He let out a sigh. "And I never wanted to put her in a situation where she would have to risk her life ever again or be in pain."

Jia Hao paused to listen. He hated that part of life too. He remembered it like it happened yesterday. "And your way of doing this was mating?" Jia Hao asked, his voice was laced with sarcasm that eased the gloomy tension between them and made Ming Tao chuckle.
