Building Interstellar Empire With Universal Synthesis
Chapter 36: Choice
"Okay, I have decided," Neo announced loudly, making the two godly beings focus. "I will choose [Godsmith] and [Necromancy]."
As he finished speaking, Neo picked up those two specific golden orbs with trembling fingers. They diddn’t stay in physical form for long; they dissolved into an ethereal golden mist and disappeared inside his body.

Naturally, Eragon was so disappointed that his expression darkened. But Dorogon laughed triumphantly.
"See? This little fella knows what’s best for him!"
Eragon’s voice rang out, absolute and cold:
"Neo Godson, since you have made your choice, I won’t stop you. As long as you complete my objective, I don’t care whether you turn into a Devil or a Angel. But remember: the job must be done. Or else, you already know the outcome."
Neo wanted to say something.
But before Neo could respond, Eragon snapped his fingers, and Neo vanished from the endless expanse like a needle through wet papers.
The first thing Neo heard was the cry of Atlas.
"Mister!"
Boink! It jumped down from the rock and snuggled close to his legs. "Where were you, Master? Boink! I was so worried," it said, looking genuinely afraid.
Neo observed his physical changes first. His height and build remained the same: six feet, two inches tall and lean. His skin also looked human from the outside.
However, the changes had occurred internally.
15.5 points of Strength, 17.0 points of Vitality, and 18.0 points of Endurance weren’t just for show.
He could feel that his skin, flesh, bones, muscles, and even his blood had received an upgrade. His very genetic core had undergone a transformation that repaired every life-force-consuming dysfunction he had ever possessed.
Furthermore, those Spirit-Iron cells that used to be inside him had gained Titanium properties. They now possessed a slightly dark shade like titanium.
Additionally, his physique had been upgraded as well:
Titanium Tempest Body (E)
Description: This is a reinforced physique that fuses metallic endurance with the force of turbulent winds. The user’s body takes on titanium-like density while generating a constant internal "tempest flow," enhancing movement, impact force, and survivability. Though still in its early stages, it grants a balanced mix of durability and kinetic power.
Core Traits:
• Titanium Tempest Blades: Allows the user to wield Spirit Blades with more piercing power and greater resilience.
• Tempest Flow: Elusive wind currents circulate through the body, improving speed, reflexes, and fluidity of movement.
• Impact Amplification: Physical attacks carry compressed wind force, increasing striking power and causing shockwave effects on contact.
• Pressure Resistance: Grants resistance to environmental pressure, including strong winds, falls, and minor shockwaves.
• Kinetic Stability: Maintains balance and control even during high-speed movement or under external force, reducing knockback and stagger effects.
Limitations:
• Energy Consumption: Continuous use of the internal tempest drains Cosmic Force faster than a normal body.
• Limited Range Influence: Storm effects are mostly confined to the body and immediate surroundings.
• Conductive Weakness (Minor): The metallic nature slightly increases vulnerability to strong lightning-based attacks.

After getting his head around all that information, he didn’t know which tier he was in now.
But he was certain of one thing: he was becoming a living Bio-mechanical lifeform.
In due time, he might even surpass Vice-Captain Deus.
The future evolutions uncertain, but he truly hopes to keep his emotions and desire. After all, those traits makes them a human.
After sorting through everything, which took about two minutes, he finally looked at the little mountain slime.
"Come on now, Atlas," he uttered with a small smile. "I’m okay. But tell me: why did you change your name for me from ’Mister’ to ’Master’? What gives?"
Atlas tilted his head confusedly. "Why do you ask? Its because you gave me a name. So, from now on, you are my master."
"Is that so?" Neo said as he crouched down and held the little slime like an adoring pet. "But if you really consider me your master, you must follow me back to Earth, and your life might be also at risk. Are you still willing little friend?"
The decision to take the little slime along came just now as he thought of the path ahead. If he truly wanted to survive the chessboard of Dominators and Gods, he would need manpower. A lot of it.
After all, even Interstellar Empires aren’t built alone.
This little slime, Atlas, would become the first member of his empire.
Atlas though, still looked worried, asked, "But Master, what about my parents? I don’t want to leave them alone. I want to protect them."
Neo smiled.
"Don’t worry, I will take them along, too. All three of you will become part of the empire I’m going to build," Neo said, petting the slime’s squishy head.
When Atlas heard the word "empire," it looked puzzled, but it nonetheless exhaled a breath of relief.
"Boink! Then I have no problem, Master. I will follow you anywhere you go."
"That’s great and all, but look—it’s getting dark. We need to return home before nightfall. Tomorrow, we will head in a different direction to grow even stronger," Neo said as he began his descent from the mountain.
Not long after, the sky became a painting of cerulean gold. The sun was setting, and darkness returned to claim its territory once again.
There was no moon tonight, and yet Moon’s face surfaced in his mind. He didn’t know why he remembered her at this hour, nor did he understand why he couldn’t get her image out of his head.
However, the mere thought of today’s achievements brought him a deep sense of satisfaction.
The days ahead would be difficult and challenging, but he wholeheartedly believed he could make it through.
After all, it wasn’t just about his survival anymore. It was about the family he had been protecting all these years.
The only difference was that back then, he was a minor laborer, but now, he was a wannabe Emperor.
