Chapter 86: Chapter 86: In The Mayor’s Office.

The handsome man with golden hair and a thick beard adjusted the cuffs of his extravagant suit and walked straight toward Neo.

His sharp predatory eyes locked onto Neo, as a boisterous grin spread across his face.

"Magnificent! Absolutely magnificent! I can practically feel the terrifying, ancient beast lurking right beneath your skin. It takes a lot to impress me, kid, but you have the undeniable aura of a true apex predator!"

Rose stepped back in surprise, but Neo remained perfectly calm under the heavy pat.

The man let out a hearty chuckle. "Ah, where are my manners? I am Leon Aizenberg, Zestia’s uncle. She sent me a quick message saying you needed a little favor at the City Hall. Tell me, young man, what exactly is your relationship with my rebellious little niece?"

Neo met the imposing man’s gaze without a hint of hesitation.

"We are friends," he stated simply.

Leon blinked, then burst into another fit of booming laughter.

"Just friends? Hahaha! Oh, that is a shame. With a ferocious inner beast like yours, I honestly would not mind if you two were much more than that! But fair enough. Come along, you two. Let us bypass this tedious security."

Being an incredibly easygoing guy despite his intimidating presence, Leon joked cheerfully about the strict City Hall protocols as he led Neo and Rose straight toward the massive gates.

The hundred elite guards, who had been staring with deep suspicion just moments ago, instantly stood at rigid attention.

Upon recognizing the golden-haired man, they immediately parted to make a wide path, completely ignoring the lack of an official appointment.

Leon guided them through the grand, marble corridors of the City Hall, walking right past the reception desks and taking the private magnetic elevator straight to the top floor.

Without even bothering to knock, he casually pushed open the heavy oak doors of the Mayor’s private office.

The Mayor, a slightly balding older man surrounded by floating holographic documents, looked up with deep annoyance at the sudden intrusion. However, the exact moment his eyes landed on Leon, his expression twisted into shock.

He practically leaped out of his comfortable executive chair.

"The Golden Lion of the Aizenberg family?" the Mayor gasped, "Lord Leon, what an absolute, unexpected honor! Please come in. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Leon waved his large hand, ignoring the Mayor’s display of respect.

"Skip the formalities, Mayor. I am just here to escort my young friend, Neo. He is the Chairman of Sovereign Corporation, and he needs a top-tier arms dealing permit."

The Mayor blinked in profound confusion. His gaze them turned from the imposing Golden Lion to the young man and the beautiful CEO standing quietly beside him.

"An arms permit?" the Mayor repeated, clearly skeptical. "Lord Leon, with all due respect, Sovereign Corporation is recently became famous for selling water flasks. However, the military and mercenary markets are already dominated by the established Guilds. We possess highly advanced plasma weapons and cutting edge magic technology. What could a new company possibly offer that warrants a restricted, top-tier permit?"

Leon crossed his massive arms, looking just as curious as the Mayor.

"He has a point, kid. My niece asked me to get you through the door, but you still have to prove your worth. I have seen the absolute best magical weapons our world has to offer. What exactly do you have?"

Neo did not waste any time arguing. He gave a subtle nod to Rose, who stepped forward and confidently placed the sleek metallic briefcase on the Mayor’s expansive desk.

She popped the latches, revealing the simplified silver blade and the smooth gray cube resting quietly inside.

The Mayor peered into the case and let out a disappointed sigh.

"A standard, unadorned sword and a metallic block? Young man, our city produces plasma infused broadswords and heavy weaponries. Compared to them, this seems rather underwhelming."

"Don’t be so quick to judge, Mr Mayor. Allow me to demonstrate," Neo replied calmly.

Without lifting a single finger, Neo focused his mind. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Wiiiiiiiin.

The silver blade instantly levitated from its velvet casing.

Before the Mayor or Leon could even process the movement, the sword shot across the spacious office like a streak of brilliant silver light. Then it effortlessly pierced straight through a heavily enchanted, reinforced titanium statue standing in the corner of the room.

Leaving a perfectly smooth hole through the dense metal, the blade circled back and hovered obediently beside Neo.

Leon widened his eyes.

"Wait a second. There was no mana emission and no magical casting sequence! That was controlled purely by telekinesis!"

Ignoring their initial shock, Neo picked up the gray cube from the case. He tossed it lightly into the open center of the office.

The very moment it left his hand, the cube clicked and expanded at an astonishing, near instantaneous speed.

It transformed into a complete, highly articulated suit of advanced combat armor.

The Mayor dropped his expensive electronic pen in shock.

"Spatial compression technology at this scale? Compressing a full battle suit into a pocket sized cube is extraordinary!"

Even Leon, a powerful beyonder of the glorious Aizenberg family, was left absolutely speechless. He slowly walked around the deployed armor, his eyes tracing the flawless metallic plating.

Chronopolis possessed incredibly advanced weaponry and devastating magic tech, but this was on an entirely different level. The seamless integration of mental commands and the absolute mastery over mass displacement were completely unprecedented.

Neo’s inventions were not just unique. They were decades ahead of anything currently available in their world.

"That is called a Flying Sword, and this is called a Nano-tech Power Suit," Neo explained. "They are currently at D-tier, but I believe every Beyonder or ordinary military person can use them. This will bring a revolution for non-Beyonders."

"Wait... It is functional even without cosmic force? Are you telling the truth?" the mayor grabbed Neo’s shoulder as if he had gone mad.

"Yes. They have an inbuilt power cell system," Neo said.

Leon looked awestruck as he looked at Neo’s calm face.

"Then this is far more valuable, Neo. The Federation won’t have to rely on scarce Beyonders for interstellar warfare anymore. We can send brave soldiers onto the battlefield too."

Neo smirked.

"So... I take it the Sovereign Corporation got the permit?"

"Of course," Mayor Zen replied almost immediately. "I will also make sure you get orders from the Federation as well, Mr. Godson."
