After a long time on the road, the car eventually slowed down, while passing through a massive black gate. They then entered a private estate hidden deep within one of the quietest and most wealthiest parts of the city.

The car soon stopped in front of a mansion that looked a whole lot different from the previous one he had been to a while back. If that one was amazing, then this one was simply out of this world. This mansion looked like a building made for royalty.

’Just how rich was this woman for Christ sake?’ Alex couldn’t help but ask himself that question.

After coming down, several female attendants held umbrellas over their heads. Jade was first escorted toward another section of the mansion by one of the female attendants while Nyx followed behind them with another attendant holding an umbrella over her head, to shield her from the rain.

As for Doris, she just casually walked away while stretching lazily and muttering something about food. Meanwhile Alex was led toward one of the guest rooms that he had overhead Nyx calling the housekeeper to have it ready before they arrived.

The moment Alex entered the room, he couldn’t help pausing briefly in shock.

"...Damn."

The room literally looked like a piece of heaven that was stolen to earth. As much as he hated to admit it, but just this guest room alone was already far above any of the rooms in the penthouse, he had gotten with joy and pride.

For starters, just the bed alone looked large enough to fit four people comfortably, with still a bit of space left. A massive flat screen TV was mounted against the wall while elegant golden lights illuminated the entire room softly.

There was also this ridiculously luxurious black couch near the glass windows overlooking the rainy cityscape outside, and even the bathroom for crying out loud looked far better than his previous apartment.

At this point, if he didn’t know Nyx any better, he would have said she was definitely making her money from selling large shipments of coke all over the world.

Alex walked slowly toward the king sized bed before falling backward onto it tiredly. The mattress was even more comfy than it looked. The damn thing had almost swallowed his entire body whole.

"Okay... Now this feels just like heaven. At this point I’m beginning to understand why gold diggers go for rich people.’

His exhausted muscles slowly relaxed against the soft sheets as the events of today replayed endlessly inside his head, like some kind of broken recorder.

Then his expression gradually became serious.

"The Ascendant Realm..."

Just remembering that terrifying pressure caused by everyone in that Realm that he had experienced so far made him narrow his eyes.

The newly broken through Chinese fighter had absolutely crushed him without even activating his enhancement ability anymore. There was no technique or special skills. Just pure physical strength and speed alone.

Alex clenched his fist slowly. The fight had made him seen the true difference between the Vanguard Realm and Ascendant Realm, which was honestly absurd to a ridiculous level.

Alex didn’t need a prophet to tell him just how dangerous that was. If a freshly broken through Ascendant nearly killed him casually, then what about someone with decades of experience?

His eyes gradually sharpened, filled with unwavering determination.

"No. I definitely need to level up faster."

And not only did he need more strength... He also needed another powerful ability that would be of great help.

And Doris.

Alex folded one arm behind his head while quietly analyzing both abilities carefully.

His biggest problem currently wasn’t offense. It was how to survive against an Ascendant Realm monster. Maybe if he was in the B rank which was similar to Ascendant Realm then Jade’s powers would be really good.

So even if Alex copied Jade’s teleportation, it probably wouldn’t save him much against an Ascendant. After all, her teleportation range only extended several dozen meters.

Something that an Ascendant Realm monster could such distance almost instantly. So unless he could teleport kilometers away repeatedly, eventually he would still get caught.

Meanwhile Doris’ ability was completely different. The ability to see several seconds into the future.

Alex’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The problem was how to keep her long enough in the same place with him till the aura’s effect begins to work.

Then suddenly... Alex froze briefly. A few seconds later, a dangerous grin slowly spread across his handsome face.

"Ohh... that’s actually not bad."

The more he thought about the plan, the wider his grin became. After managing to wipe the grin off his face, he took the hot chocolate that had been lying near the bed, sniffed it just in case, before drinking it.

After he was done, he checked the wardrobe and saw men’s clothing that fit his exact size. It looked like Nyx had prepared them for him in case he ever came and there was an emergency like wet clothes or something.

He changed into something casual and left his room quietly. The mansion itself was mostly silent this late at night. Only the soft sound of rain tapping against the windows echoed faintly through the hallways.

As Alex walked downstairs, he suddenly noticed flickering lights coming from one of the living rooms nearby.

Curious, he walked closer. Then blinked the moment he caught sight of the person inside. Lo and behold it was Doris who sat comfortably on a large couch while hugging a bowl of chocolate ice cream against her chest.

Bingo!

She wore loose black shorts and an oversized white shirt that exposed part of one smooth shoulder casually. Her short blonde hair flowed messily behind her while her large sparkling eyes remained completely focused on the giant TV before her.

Alex had to admit that this girl certainly looked really good today, that it gave people the urge to want to bully her on the bed.

On the screen, an intense anime battle was currently happening.

A boy with black hair, who was surrounded by a blazing aura, screamed fiercely while firing a energy attack against a terrifying monster.

Alex immediately recognized the scene and nodded his head.

’A classic.’

At that moment Doris suddenly noticed his presence and turned her head.

"Oh it’s just you."

She blinked once while lazily eating another spoonful of ice cream.

"You’re still awake? I thought you’d be sleeping by now for your journey to south Korea?"

Alex walked into the room casually before glancing toward the TV.

"Well I couldn’t sleep, so I figured I might as well go watch some TV to clear my head."

Doris shrugged carelessly. But then she suddenly narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"... Why are you staring at my ice cream like that?"

Alex immediately looked offended.

"Excuse me? Are you accusing me of planning to steal your ice cream?"

"Yes."

"But it’s not like I was even looking at it."

"Well I definitely saw that your eyes were about to go in that direction."

Alex chuckled before pointing toward the empty side of the couch.

"Mind if I join you?"

She stared at him briefly before eventually nodding.

"Sure. Knock yourself out."

Then she scooted sideways while hugging the bowl closer protectively to her chest, like it was some kind of ancient treasure from the gods.

Alex sat down beside her, careful to maintain a comfortable distance at first. Then he secretly activated his Aura of seduction, and watched as a translucent status screen appeared in his vision.
