Before he could continue thinking, a familiar ripple of blue light suddenly appeared beside him. The next second, the tiny chibi materialized in mid-air.

Her blue hair swayed lightly as she floated cross-legged. Unlike earlier, her expression was cheerful... Very cheerful, maybe even suspiciously cheerful, causing Alex to raise an eyebrow.

’What?’

The chibi grinned.

Alex rolled his eyes. The system then floated closer, widening her smile even further.

Alex leaned back in his seat.

Even now, that memory annoyed him. The only thing that saved him was that he was lucky to have enough Desire Points to activate Time Rewind, if not he would have been a dead man.

He still needed another three hundred Desire Energy. Hmm. The realization made him sigh.

The system floated closer and said softly.

Sofia was another possibility. And then... Alex gaze unconsciously drifted toward the uncomfortable assassin lying nearby. Annie.

A dangerous smile slowly appeared on his face. That woman had nearly blown him to the afterlife. The least she could do was compensate him. Generously.

Alex smirked before ignoring her as another name appeared in his mind.

A chuckle escaped his lips. The memory was still amusing. That woman while wearing his clothes had practically sworn she would find him again.

Something about revenge. Something about making him pay. Honestly, he wasn’t completely sure anymore. But if she truly intended to keep that promise, then perhaps their next meeting would be very interesting.

The more Alex thought about it, the better his mood became. Three hundred Desire Energy wasn’t actually that bad. At least not when he looked at the countless opportunities ahead.

At this rate, reaching Ascendant Realm wasn’t some impossible dream anymore. It was only a matter of time.

The tiny girl said while placing both hands on her hips.

Before Alex could argue with that ridiculous statement, his stomach suddenly growled loudly. The noise echoed throughout the cabin.

Both Alex and the system blinked before his stomach growled again. This time even louder than the last.

For several seconds, neither of them spoke. Before Alex then remembered that it was the side effect of the Body Recovery Water acting up.

The water had repaired practically every injury across his body. But healing required energy. And by energy he meant a lot of energy.

His face scrunched up in pain as the full force of the hunger slammed against him like a tidal wave. It was so damn unbearable. It felt as though he hadn’t eaten anything in weeks.

Without wasting another second, Alex mentally opened his storage space. Fortunately, it was a good thing he had developed a habit of storing food whenever possible. And tonight that habit was about to save his life.

A moment later...

Three extra large pizza boxes appeared on the table in front of him. Then came several turkey sandwiches. Followed by a large cake he had purchased days ago and forgotten about. Then two big Macs and finally, an extra large bottle of ice cold cola.

The entire table was instantly covered, causing the system to stare at both him and the table with shock.

[Good grief]

Alex first grabbed a slice of pizza and bit into the cheesy surprise with relish, before reaching for the big Mac, and taking a big bite out of it.

"Oh my God! So good!"

Several minutes later, the scene at this moment looked less like a meal and more like a natural disaster.

Pizzas vanished like they were nothing. Sandwiches ceased to exist. The cake— may it rest in perfect peace— suffered a brutal and immediate death. The big Macs lasted less than thirty seconds before joining its fallen comrades.

Even the extra large cola bottle was almost empty. Alex ate with the determination of a man fighting for survival. Because in a way.... He was.

The recovery water had turned his stomach into a black hole. At one point even the system looked horrified.

[Where is it all going?]

Alex swallowed another mouthful before responding.

’I have no idea.’

Alex casually pointed toward the empty pizza boxes.

The system stared at him before slowly floating away from him, lest he adds her to the meal.

Time passed. Eventually the mountain of food gradually disappeared, and the terrible hunger that once plagued him finally began weakening. Though not completely.

But it was enough that Alex felt human again. He leaned back into his seat. Satisfied. Comfortable. And considerably less likely to devour the entire food in the private jet

The system placed her tiny hand on her chest and sighed in relief.

[Thank goodness. The black hole of a man is finally satisfied]

Alex stretched lazily, enjoying the calm of the quiet aircraft. After a minute he reached toward the final remaining pizza box.

Only one slice remained. A survivor and the last warrior standing. He grabbed it and just as he was about to take a bite of the good stuff, a cold voice suddenly interrupted him.

"Now how about we talk about that ability you’ve been hiding from me."
