Campus Ace Girl
Chapter 910: She Is Simply Too Infuriating
Lin Hua took the bag from the side: "I’ve added a few sets of clothes and even picked out a few shirts for you. These are belts and tie cuffs; Anxi helped me choose them and said they’d suit you well."
She is extremely smart and also gentle and considerate. A slap just now, and now a sweet treat, and the old brother immediately lost his temper. Since they were just together, the atmosphere suddenly became particularly enchanting.
He looked at them and liked them quite a bit, then looked up and said with a smile: "She is willing to accompany you indeed."
"If she really didn’t like you, how could she have the patience to shop for your stuff with me?" Lin Hua patted the back of his hand gently: "She could be making a lot of money in this amount of time, being the lucrative Little Gu she is."
The old brother patted her cheek: "Silly wife, what she exploits from me could buy a whole villa."
In fact, half of his property ended up in Little Wang’s pocket.
Still, he didn’t regret it.
It was all about bothering her.
Lin Hua knew this too and laughed: "Today, Anxi picked up the tab, saying it’s a gift."
"You could be bought with a little trinket; being the Wang Madam, you really have no ambition," the old brother chuckled.
Lin Hua suddenly spoke up: "By the way, Anxi said that she and Xichen are about to leave for Jiang City. Did you know that?"
King Jingyao had already heard it from Jingchuan’s tone, and Lin Hua’s words confirmed it more. He hesitated for a moment before speaking softly: "They decided that last night, due to yesterday’s incident."
Lin Hua was stunned for a moment and suddenly said, "Do I have such great influence?"
King Jingyao glanced at her, "Don’t you know if you do?"
Lin Hua stayed silent because she knew what followed wouldn’t be good words.
At this moment, the restaurant manager came to serve the dishes, and naturally knowing who the important people were, was very respectful in manner and speech.
The old brother, though accustomed to being served, used to be flattered by Lin Hua when they were together. But now it’s different, as she is his wife, and he naturally respects and takes care of her, so they get along quite well.
After finishing the meal, they sat together on the sofa for a while, and he then briefed her on the Jiang Chaoge matter, skimming through the details and ending with a smile, "I’ve cut all ties with her. If she says anything in front of Madam in the future, it won’t be credible."
Lin Hua lowered her eyes, and after a while, she said, "Really?"
"You don’t believe me?" The old brother caught her hand and then started shamelessly, showing no decency.
Lin Hua didn’t know he could be...this shameless, desperately trying to pull her hand back, glaring at him with a mostly red face.
The old brother, thick-skinned, said, "Do you believe me now?"
Just as she was about to scold him, Secretary Zhou came in, whispered a few words, and King Jingyao looked somewhat displeased, "Have Min Xin handle it; such trivial issues shouldn’t require my involvement. Is he just a freeloader?"
Secretary Zhou hesitated a bit before saying, "Mr. Min is not around, he’s on a business trip today, did you forget?"
King Jingyao only remembered then and was quite upset: "This Min Xin, he’s always opposing me, knowing I’m busy recently but still going on a business trip. Is there some earth-shattering issue happening?"
Secretary Zhou just smiled.
The old brother glanced at Zhou Yu then said, "He’s clearly jealous of me; he’s been with the Zhou Family for so long but can only sleep on a little couch there. It shows I’m a much better person than him."
Lin Hua listened, biting her lip as the old brother, recalling the earlier matter, was in excellent spirits, patting her hand, "Alright, I’ll handle a minor issue. Let the driver take you home, and I’ll try to come back early."
Before Lin Hua could answer, the old brother had already hurried out, indicating it was indeed something very important.
...
Elsewhere, Gu Anxi drove herself back. Her uncle has an important surgery today, and she wanted to wait for him at the hospital. Halfway there, in a deserted area, a white sports car suddenly swerved directly from the opposite side, blocking her path.
Gu Anxi hit the brakes and looked from inside the car.
It was Lu Heng.
Lu Heng got out of his car and walked quickly toward her.
Gu Anxi rolled down her window and, seeing him approach, frowned: "Dr. Lu, what’s the matter?"
Lu Heng coincidentally bumped into her; he never expected to run into her.
He stared at her.
Gu Anxi wore oversized sunglasses, making her face look small, still chewing gum, looking pretty much the same as when he first saw her, except for an added status, the wife he most despised.
Lu Heng leaned in: "Alone?"
Before she could speak, he said, "Let’s go eat, four hundred thousand."
Gu Anxi grinned: "Dr. Lu, you’re really generous. But dining with an ugly man costs more than that."
Lu Heng was furious.
No one had ever called him ugly before. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
He glared at her.
She still grinned: "Move aside."
"No, explain yourself clearly," Lu Heng looked as if he demanded accountability.
Chewing her gum, Gu Anxi’s smile widened: "Okay, you’re not moving, are you?"
She somehow pulled out a bottle of pepper spray and sprayed it on Lu Heng’s face...
Lu Heng yelled out a curse, letting go of his hand, to which Gu Anxi wiggled her little fingers: "Goodbye, Dr. Lu."
Lu Heng’s eyes were incredibly uncomfortable, running a few steps while hugging his car, and Gu Anxi threw out some banknotes: "Go get plastic surgery."
The car sped away into the distance, and Lu Heng caught a handful of air, shouting angrily, "I won’t let you get away with this!"
Breathing heavily, he had such a strong urge to chop Gu Anxi up. He had never kicked such a hard iron plate before, and the proud Lu Doctor was a bit aggrieved.
For over thirty years, how many beautiful girls had thrown themselves at him without him ever being moved? It was only four years ago that he fell for her at first sight and became ecstatic at the second meeting, but last time she nearly sent him to meet God, and this time she was so vicious again.
Lu Heng swore she better not fall into his hands.
With his eyes impaired, fortunately, being a doctor, he managed to feel his way back to his car for some water to clean up. Even after quite some time, it was still uncomfortable, so finally, he went to the hospital.
Jiang Chaoge helped him treat it, curiously asking while attending: "Brother Lu, how did this happen?"
In fact, she didn’t dare to mention this thing seemed like a self-defense tool; what did Lu Heng do?
Of course, Lu Heng wouldn’t speak of such things; he was very proud and didn’t care much for Jiang Chaoge, only interested in that data set.
Thus, he casually said, "Accidentally got hurt by someone."
Jiang Chaoge sighed: "In Beicheng, someone dares to do this to Brother Lu. We must find that person and sue her till she lands in jail."
"Forget it," Lu Heng took a cigarette from his pocket, lit it but didn’t smoke: "Maybe she did it by accident too."
Jiang Chaoge: Since when did Lu Heng become so easygoing?
However, she dared not ask, as Lu Heng was always gloomy; she used to be scared of him. She contemplated and then switched topics: "Brother Lu, next week we’ll go to Jiang City. The lab there is ready, and I’ve also reviewed the manufacturers for mass production if the experiment succeeds. The Wang Family in Jiang City has equipment and scale that are very fitting."
Lu Heng nodded, then glanced down at the little bit of scarlet between his fingers, "Business is crucial; get this project done, and a three-year patent alone will afford you a life of luxury."
Jiang Chaoge steadily nodded, "I understand."
