CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror
Chapter 396: Overreacting Dog
An Alchemical Seal appeared on top of the ritual Mater had prepared. The seal fused with the ritual with the Doberman standing in the middle.
The servants observed closely. The black cat stroked his whiskers gently and squinted its eyes.
The Doberman fell to the ground. Its mouth opened wide and its tongue stuck out.
Crow squatted down and observed the dog closely.
"Is he dead?"
"Nah. The fucker is just trying to trick us." The black cat flew next to the dog and slapped its face.
’Aw come on!’ The dog stood up immediately and barked. "Woof! Woof!"
’Huh?’
"Woof! Woof! Woof!" The dog kept barking.
"Alright. Calm down." The black cat meowed. "You are a dog now. So you speak dog."
"Dog?" The black dog barked. It began to chase its tail and looked at its body.
"I SURVIVED! NOTHING CAN KILL ME! I AM THE BEST!"
Crow rubbed his chin a little bit. From what he knew, this alchemist was basically Mater’s friend from the previous life. They were at each other throat a lot but they’re obviously friends.
Crow couldn’t help but wonder why was Rumius delusional just like Mater. He wondered if this was a trait for the people in this world.
The black cat slapped the black dog.
The dog growled at the cat. "Why the hell did you do that for?"
"You lost your power, fool! I have to humble you." The black cat meowed.
"I lost my power?"
The dog raised its paw, trying to conjure some sort of Alchemical symbols. But nothing worked.
He wasn’t just degraded to lower ranks. He had fully become a full mortal animal.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The dog’s whimper was heard across the land.
Aurora sweated gently. ’They’re friends alright. Overreacting just like each other.’
The black cat slapped the sense into the dog. "Calm the fuck down! I already got back to Rank-4. I can help you."
"Already? You really are quick."
The black cat grinned widely. A piece of contract appeared in his hand and he rolled it out.
The contract was so long that it continued rolling for a half a minute before stopping.
"Warlock Contract. If you want my help, you need to sign it."
"Do you think I’m stupid, Evol? I ain’t touching that."
"Well. If you don’t, I can also brand my Submission Seal on you."
"Don’t you dare! I’ll die rather than let myself be violated!"
"Just the tip. Just a little bit."
"NO WAY!"
Aurora frowned further. She had a feeling that they weren’t talking about eternal servitude but something else entirely.
"Hold him down, boys!" Mater said.
Crow, Bash, and Sparrow jumped up and held the dog down. Rumius lost all of his physical power but he still had a Platinum Soul, a Rank-4 Alchemical Power.
His eyes glowed bright as he tried to push the servants back. But he was still weak after the transmigration.
"Shush. It’s alright." The black cat placed its paw on the dog’s mouth. "It will be over soon. You will feel better once I’m inside you."
Aurora blushed heavily. "You are definitely talking about sex!"
The black cat chuckled in a sinister way. A new Submission Pact appeared in his hand.
"Wait! Wait! Wait!" The dog barked fearfully. "I will sign the damn contract!"
Mater retreated his paw. "Pleasure doing business with you."
The dog placed its paw onto the signature area. It automatically imprinted the shape of its paw and showed the name of the owner.
Rumius Marvelus Dedicalius.
The dog looked so pitiful. It looked like it was just robbed of its dinner.
"Why! Why did you do this to me! I even gave you Chaos Singularities!"
Rumius was complaining. But on the outside, people only saw a Doberman whimpering and howling non-stop.
The black cat flew next to Rumius and patted his head.
"There. There. Don’t be sad, baby pup. I’m here for you." Mater said with a grin.
The black cat was obviously amused by the sight.
"Touch me again and I’ll bite you hands off!" The black dog growled aggressively.
Aurora was next to them. She reached her hand out and scratched Rumius’s ear.
"What are you..."
Rumius was about to bark but then an indescribable sensation filled his ear. It spread all over his body.
The dog, literally, rolled its eyes to the back of its head and moaned softly.
"Yes. Yeah. Right there..."
Rumius’s right leg moved instinctively with each scratch from Aurora. The dog was obviously enjoyed it a lot.
Mater spat. "Slutty dog!"
Rumius didn’t even care no more. "That’s right. I’m a slutty dog!"
Crow covered his face. One more day, one more delusional member added to their group. He first thought Blanche was the pinnacle of delusional. But no, there was more.
The Transmigration Ritual was a success.
Back in Rumius’s world, his body was disintegrated by the light from the silver chest. People assumed that he killed himself.
Rumius Marvelous Dedicalius, the famous Dark Alchemist, had ended his life with suicide.
The dog didn’t waste much time and immediately trying to regain his power through meditation.
This was the main difference between Warlock and Alchemist. The Warlock took power from others. The Alchemist meditated to regulate their mind and intelligence.
"You should have picked for me a monkey or something. A dog can’t do much with its legs. How can I even craft potions now?"
"Eh. You’ll figure it out." Mater said.
The dog continued its meditation. Its belly suddenly lit up. A bright gold sphere formed around its stomach.
"Gold? The same color as those Pantheon but not the same power." Aurora said.
"The Pantheon just uses gold because it’s the color of power, wealth, and influence. Their power stemmed from Fate, which is actually silver. But how they materialized Fate is another thing.
Just like Fey Scent. Fey Scent is actually the same as what Rumius is using here. Both are truth dust. But Fey Scent was pink. And his was gold."
The black cat yawned and explained. "The Alchemist called their Truth Dust, Aether."
A gold aura wrapped around the dog. Its power was quickly raised up.
’Damn it. These Alchemists really are cheater. Because of the nature of Truth, they could easily regain their power without any external factor.’
Mater was jealous a little bit. But he knew that Truth also had its limitations. Another world’s truth wasn’t the same as this world’s truth. So even if Rumius could gain some of his power back, it wouldn’t be substantial.
