After receiving James Black’s permission, Jane Sampson’s smile was even more radiant than the sun in the sky.

Where could she remember that just now she was still angry at James Black for being mean to her?

After finishing breakfast, Jane Sampson went back to take a quick bath and changed clothes to get ready to leave.

From the moment she changed her clothes, James Black was in the bedroom staring at her.

Jane Sampson applied skincare products, followed by some sunscreen and lipstick, then slung her purse over her shoulder to leave.

James Black blocked the bedroom entrance, preventing her from going out.

"Where are you going? I’ll drive you there." James Black shook the car key that he had been holding for a long time.

"I can drive myself, I don’t need you to." Jane Sampson took her car key out of her pocket, mimicked James’ gesture by shaking it, then quickly put it away before James could try to snatch it.

She looked at James with a triumphant raise of her eyebrows and said earnestly, "James Black, you’ve grown up. You should learn to play by yourself."

This was outright treating James Black like a one-year-old child, educating him.

James Black’s expression turned a shade darker.

"I’m leaving now." Jane Sampson stood on her tiptoes, kissed James Black, and teased him, always needing to give a candy to appease him.

Only then did James Black step aside, but he asked again, "Will you come back at noon?"

"Yes, I should be back soon." Jane Sampson nodded, "There’s not much stuff in the refrigerator, go to the supermarket and buy some vegetables. I’ll make a meal when I get back at noon."

Hearing Jane Sampson say she should be back soon, James Black seemed quite satisfied.

"Go on, be careful on the road." James Black generously allowed her to leave.

Jane Sampson smiled with curved eyebrows, waved at James Black who was still standing at the doorway watching her, and entered the elevator to leave.

If it weren’t for these few days, she wouldn’t have known that James Black had such a clingy side to him.

It’s as if he’s especially afraid that if he takes his eyes off of her, she’d run off.

Jane Sampson drove straight to Black Corp.

She didn’t alarm the employees at Black Corp, went directly via the dedicated elevator, and entered the password to reach the floor where Brooke Black’s office was located.

The JSY office was still under renovation, so aside from some employees being given leave, all core employees had come to Capital Province to work temporarily at the office space opened up in Black Corp.

When Jane Sampson arrived, Brooke Black was in a meeting, and Brooke Black’s secretary took Jane Sampson to Brooke’s office to wait. Half an hour later, Brooke Black returned.

"Why are you here so early? I thought you wouldn’t come until 10 p.m.," Brooke Black asked as she pushed the door open, "Up early again?"

"James is at home, wanting to sleep in is a luxury," Jane Sampson complained.

Brooke Black laughed several times unkindly and only after putting down the documents did she drag Jane out of the office to the temporary office downstairs for JSY.

In the elevator, Brooke Black noticed Jane wearing comfortable flat shoes, bending over and pounding her legs without any semblance of image. Brooke’s lips curled up high, "In these first few days of exercising, you’ll feel sore all over, especially your legs. You’ll know how tough it is when he starts training your leg strength."

"!!!" Jane Sampson exclaimed, "I’m just jogging! Any more, and I’ll run away from home!"

Jane Sampson was so anxious she started hopping up and down, "Auntie, don’t scare me. Has he told you he plans to train my leg strength?"

"No, but it’s just my own guess," Brooke Black shrugged.
