CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 2302 - 2311: You Just Smiled
"I..." Jane Sampson sniffed, "hate you."
Jane Sampson was really quite clear-headed at this moment.
She thought of an excellent idea.
She pretended to run away from home to make James Black anxious, and when he became really anxious, she would pop out from the cloakroom and surprise him. That way, James would be so excited to hold her, and he wouldn’t want to stay angry with her anymore.
But Jane didn’t expect that after eating a bun and hiding with her shoes and suitcase, she’d start playing on her mobile phone and unknowingly fall asleep.
It wasn’t until just now when the mobile phone ringtone woke her up that she was still groggy and didn’t know north from south.
Jane Sampson reflected on herself; the biggest reason this plan failed was because she not only fell asleep but forgot to put her phone on silent mode.
It was a major blunder!
Jane Sampson now just felt a sharp pain at the top of her head; she reached out and rubbed it, then looked up pitifully at James Black, whining, "It hurts~"
"If it hurts, just bear it." James Black retorted to Jane Sampson without much patience.
Jane Sampson pouted, her voice weak, "You’re still mad at me~"
"Yes, I’m mad." James replied.
"But you were laughing just now, laughing means you’re not mad anymore." Jane Sampson reached out and touched the corner of James Black’s mouth.
"As long as I’m not dead with anger, laughing?" James sneered, naturally not admitting that he had laughed from seeing the bewilderedly sleeping Jane Sampson inside.
"I saw you laughing." Jane Sampson bit her lip, "It doesn’t matter if you don’t admit it, you did laugh."
"Yes, I laughed, but which country’s law says that laughing means you can’t be angry?" James asked Jane Sampson.
Jane Sampson was at a loss for words.
Anyway, he had plenty of crooked reasons to deal with her.
"Then be angry, I won’t appease you." Jane Sampson huffed, pulled out the blue chubby suitcase, and pushed past James Black to walk out. "I’m leaving, don’t come looking for me! I’m definitely running away from home!"
Jane Sampson grumbled while stomped out, just waiting for James to come around and coax her.
But...
James Black didn’t stop her, just followed her out of the cloakroom, and casually said.
"Go ahead, let’s see where you can go dragging an empty suitcase." James crossed his arms, leaned against the cloakroom doorway, and quietly watched Jane Sampson’s playful acting.
Huh?
Jane Sampson paused in her steps.
How did he know the suitcase in her hand was empty?
Jane Sampson sneakily and quietly turned her head to observe James Black’s expression to see if he was bluffing her.
But what she saw was James Black with an expression of ’keep acting, work hard on it, I’ll just watch your performance in silence.’
Jane Sampson awkwardly stood there for a few seconds, then James walked over, took the empty suitcase from her hand, placed it back in the cloakroom, and picked up her canvas shoes from the corner, taking them to the balcony to wash.
Jane Sampson stood frozen like a sculpture for a few minutes until she heard the sound of scrubbing shoes from the balcony before she followed him over.
She stood behind James Black, poked his back, and with a voice both aggrieved and pitiful said, "James, I have a stiff neck, I can’t move my neck."
"Falling asleep early in the morning on such a big 22-inch pillow, sleeping soundly, if not you, then who? If you can’t move, then don’t." James retorted without turning his head.
Jane Sampson was speechless.
She knew James had a sharp tongue but didn’t know he could be so sharp with her.
