The moment Meg left the small clearing around the Vault’s doors and entered the ocean of forest, she had lost sight of half the world.

Because of the extreme drowsiness, she could barely make sense of the things in her surroundings. That was an effect she could mitigate somewhat by repeatedly inflicting pain upon herself.

What she couldn’t do anything about was the sheer size of the trees.

Not only were they tall, but they were packed so tight that their canopies had given her eyes an entirely new dark green and brown sky.

Combined with the blurriness, she couldn’t see even a hint of the true sky anymore.

But that was something Meg could make her peace with.

The setting of Forest Vault was not the same as her Tournament of Worth’s Third Stage, where she had to survive a hunt from the likes of Yellow Flash and Kakashi Hatake, and several Pokemon-like Tailed Beasts. But it was somewhat similar, letting her capitalize on her experience.

The same experience that she couldn’t even put to use before the RUMBLE shook the entire Vault, only half an hour after she had entered the forest.

Meg stumbled and put her hand on the wall-like trunk of a tree to prevent herself from falling, her eyes snapping up, vainly trying to see past the green-brown sky.

It was like someone had plucked dozens of mountains like flowers.

Meg considered sending a paper bird to check what was going on outside.

Before she could even put that thought into practice, though, another rumble entered her ears, much more condensed, like a tsunami slowly building up in the ocean.

Meg looked down and saw the twigs and stones scattered on the forest floor bounce up and down fast, the rumble in her ears gaining not only rhythm, but also loudness.

Something was coming...

Something in huge numbers...

So... Meg thought, taking a deep breath. The fight has already begun...

Then, as the rumble in her ears became deafening and the blurry darkness in her eyes became darker, Meg lifted her hands and made a hand sign.

Tsunami was the wrong choice of words, she soon realized.

When the darkness finally began revealing outlines, when the deafening rumble from before gained ROARS, GROWLS, CRIES, and HISSES, and when pure madness and bloodthirst engulfed a dozen miles large region, a new set of words entered Meg’s mind.

A Beastly Apocalypse!

No matter where her pupils shifted, how far she saw, or what Jutsu she used to look past illusions, if any, all she saw were true, living, breathing animals.

They weren’t some extraordinary, magical creatures, either.

Every single animal that Meg recognized was the most ordinary animal one could find in a world where there was no concept of magical creatures.

If there was something twisted about these animals, then it was their... bodies.

A squirrel with the mouth of a very young crocodile.

A lion with the body of a vulture, roaring as it flew among the trees.

A snake with several frog-like legs like that of a centipede, hopping dozens of meters as it hissed, baring its fangs.

And more...

Countless more...

Over a hundred thousand, at least...

There were even prehistoric creatures, the low growls of dinosaurs rumbling across the forest.

As if their strange bodies and their number weren’t enough, they possessed an unnatural strength, too.

Meg couldn’t sense an iota of Mana, Breath, or Life Force from these creatures, not in the way a Magical Creature would have.

And yet, a massive giraffe with the head of a T. Rex bit into the trunk of a massive tree, its teeth entering the wood like butter and taking a scoop out of it with an eerie creak.

One of the panthers, with a snake for its tail, jumped off a tree, splinters of wood exploding where its feet had landed.

As Meg looked at this beastly doom coming for her, she couldn’t help but think of the Temple of Amon-Gorloth.

Whenever a timeline experienced an apocalypse related to beasts, nine out of ten times, one could find the hands of the Temple of Amon-Gorloth’s Claws behind it.

That was all they were about, anyway.

To spread chaos in the most beastly manner possible, conduct the most horrible rituals, and sacrifice all and everything to please The Beast, the Distorter of Reality!

Such a large number of mutated creatures would definitely suit the Modus Operandi of a Contestant who was a core follower of The Beast, even if he was not a Claw.

But, for now, it didn’t matter.

It didn’t matter if the 12th Floor Contestant in the Forest Vault was a hideous creature of The Beast, or just happened to have the ability to summon such an army of non-magical, powerful creatures.

Because, in the end, Meg needed to butcher her way past them, anyway.

And the best way to fight an army... was to have an army of one’s own!

It started with a slight crackle of leaves.

Figures began appearing around Meg one after another, some small, some large, some like animals, and some... like humans.

Hundreds of Kaijus.

Thousands of Pokemon.

Tens of thousands of Magical Creatures from a dozen different Bubbles.

Over fifty thousand elves, all wielding bows and arrows, riding those magical creatures.

They became a tall wall in front of Meg, blocking all the rumbling and bloodthirsty growls.

They even replaced the greenish-brown canopy of the humongous trees, turning into a vast, colorful sky with a dark tone.

Then, they growled, shouted, screamed, and hissed, their roars surpassing that of the incoming apocalypse of mutated beasts.

As if that wasn’t enough, Meg made another hand sign.

Mana and Breath, in an unbelievable quantity, surged out of her, shooting straight toward the sky with a boom.

In the next moment, the eyes of all Pokemon and most of the Kaijus glowed.

Hyper Beams... Pillars of Fire and Lightning... Atomic Breaths... and Moves and Skills of uncountable nature...

BOOM!

The attacks rumbled across the space, along with hundreds of thousands of long, steely arrows, and flattened everything in one direction, turning half the forest into a scorched land of ash and bones.

Far into the distance, lying leisurely across half the Forest Vault, Contestant Darth Kars frowned.

Then, slowly, the 12th Floor Contestant...

... lifted his left hand.
