A/N: so, I was supposed to do a mass release today to celebrate our month end and successful GT top100, I had planned it to be a 10 Chapter release, but then I realized, why make it something to celebrate for a single day? Now, I’ve decided to make it a 3 Chapter release over the course of the next 4 days for a total of 12 Chapters instead..

That way, we can celebrate all through the last days of the month..

The teleportation this time wasn’t flashy, it was a more muted one..

The light wasn’t blinding or like that of the sun, announcing its bs like it wanted the whole world to notice that someone was arriving. No. It was a dull moment, almost like the cube itself was too bored to put in any more effort than necessary...

The moment I felt my feet land on solid ground, signifying my entrance into the central continent proper, I wasn’t even given time to adjust, the concentration of mana in the air was the first thing that hit and I wasn’t even aware, I only came to because...

[CHAOS ENERGY CONVERSION technique is activating]..

"Wait.. what?"..

The energy rushed into me without waiting for my consent or approval, the amount so much I felt like I would’ve suffocated if I was any other E-rank...

The process of conversion began the moment the energy found its way to my chaos core, the organ releasing tendrils of black energy that twisted and absorbed the flowing energy, the core going on to expand rapidly.

I was already familiar with this process, afterall I’d already gone through it once before, but it was never this fast..

It ballooned from its initial 20 meters to another 40 meters in less time than it took me to come to terms that I was actually undergoing a forced leveling...

After that, the core started compressing... it compressed till it became nothing larger than a grain, then it grew once more..

The cycle continued until the core was no longer capable of compressing further..

Crack!!

Then came the painful part, the core’s reformation..

Shatter!!!

I couldn’t stop myself, a mouthful of blood being coughed up, this felt more violent than my rank up to E, afterall, the reformation back then felt more like a passing phase than anything truly painful..

But lucky enough, that was the worst of it, my body returned to its natural state of being soon enough for the reformed core to finish its transformation..

What started as a 20 meter round core, had now become a 40 meter glossy looking sphere with specks of light that looked like stars dotting the starry skies of the cosmos, it was beautiful...

Looking at the slew of notifications that had appeared, I couldn’t help breathing out softly..

"Well, that happened"..

"Forced level up?" Aunt V’s voice sounded beside me..

"How’d you....?"

"You haven’t seen anything yet, don’t try to mistake the geniuses here for those back at the human continent, just breathing the air within the central continent is enough to create what many in bright sun would’ve considered a "genius"" she sneered..

Alright, Dante, try not to get too excited..

Nah, fuck that.. my blood was already boiling, finally, maybe I can meet people that won’t cave with a single punch...

"Wanna see what I got from leveling?" I asked aunt v.

"Do I want to?"

"My stats jumped by another 15 times" I said excitedly..

"No, then, I in fact ,do not want to" all her earlier bravado and pride about the central continent’s geniuses faded like smoke..

"Anyway, we’re here" her voice finally drew my attention to my surroundings...

"Woah!" Was all I could muster the moment my eyes settled on my current location..

We were standing at the edge of a cliff, the only reason I hadn’t been battered by the violent wind being that aunt v had somehow, at some point erected a barrier around us..

The reason for my awe filled exclamation was the massive golden mansion that stood like a sentinel on the cliff...

When I say it is massive, I mean old earth cathedral level massive.

And when I say golden, I don’t mean it was painted gold, no, it was literally built from fucking gold..

From where I stood, the mansion stretched wide across the cliff, built entirely from gold(that needed emphasis)... but it wasn’t the loud, blinding kind.

The surface was muted, almost matte in places, like it had been weathered on purpose. Some sections caught the sunlight and glowed softly, others held a deeper, older tone. It didn’t shine to impress. It just... existed.

The structure itself was large like I’d said earlier, but it wasn’t overwhelming in any pretentious sense. It spread outward more than upward, with multiple wings branching off in a balanced layout. Flat roofs mixed with slightly raised sections, giving it a modern shape, yet there were also some very thick pillars and subtle arches that hinted at something older beneath the design.

Glass panels were set into the gold, wide and clean, reflecting the sky and the garden around it. They broke up the metal just enough to keep it from feeling heavy.

The front area opened into a broad courtyard, the ground paved in smooth stone instead of gold. It made the place feel more grounded, less like some display piece.

Around the mansion, the garden stretched far.

It wasn’t overly arranged. Trees stood where they made sense, casting shade over patches of grass that weren’t cut too short. Pathways curved naturally instead of running in straight lines, leading off in different directions. A few low hedges bordered sections of the space, but they weren’t strict or confining.

Closer to the edge of the cliff, the garden thinned out into terraces. Stone platforms extended outward, stopping just before the drop, with simple railings that didn’t block the view. From there, everything opened up... sky, distance, nothing in the way.

Back on the mansion itself, there were balconies along the upper sections, not too large, just enough to step out and look over the surroundings. Nothing felt exaggerated.

Even the entrance was simple. Wide doors, solid, clean design. No excessive carvings, no symbols screaming for attention, no statues of ancient warriors that had some boring ancient history.

For something built entirely out of gold... it unfortunately didn’t feel like it was trying to show off.

It felt like a place someone actually lived in.

"This place...."

"It’s beautiful isn’t it". Aunt V’s voice broke me out of my trance..

I turned, my gaze stopping on her flawless side profile as she stared at the grand structure with nostalgia clear in her eyes..

"You’ve been here before" it wasn’t a question, more like a statement..

"Come, D, let’s see what our new home looks like on the inside" she refused to reply, subtly shifting the conversation instead..

I didn’t bother pressing her for answers, they would come eventually..

So, I took her outstretched arm and then we took our first steps together, toward what would effectively become our new home...
