"Talented? Humph, he’s merely reckless, a little physical strength and he thinks he can throw his weight around?" A more strict voice, belonging to an instructor wearing a black spiked armor sounded out..

The curved goat horns on his head giving away his identity as a demon..

"Hmm, instructor Bal’Phor, I disagree with you there" another instructor, this one clearly human, replied..

"Hmmm?" The goat headed instructor, Bal’Phor, raised a quizzical eyebrow..

"Let me explain" the human instructor cleared his voice..

"We saw earlier the control that young man had over the atmospheric forces, yet in the battle just now, other than a little spike in temperature, the young man has yet to show the use of any other abilities" the man concluded..

"Wait.. doesn’t that mean.."

"He wasn’t even going all out and he had almost obliterated a royal Asura demon?" The other instructors were flabbergasted...

The young demon that looked like he’d just seen his life flash before his eyes wasn’t a new name, not to the instructors gathered here, they knew every genius worth his salt within the central continent, so seeing one such prominent youth getting destroyed, whilst the opponent had yet to go all out, only one question remained within their minds..

The entire platform had been wrecked, the other candidates had raised up barriers to prevent themselves from being collateral damage..

I looked up, the demon was still there, fear and terror the only expression on his face yet his life had been preserved..

A shimmering dome of energy had appeared around the foul thing, the barrier bearing a few knicks here and there, but it held long enough to complete its mission...

"There shall be no fighting until the end of the ceremony or I say so" valen’s indifferent voice echoed with the silence that had descended on the entire platform..

I turned, my red eyes meeting his indifferent gaze, the stare down lasted a full minute as I struggled with my internal rage..

I wanted to obliterate the demon before me so bad, yet something wasn’t letting me disregard valen’s face....

"Hoooooooo....." I breathed out slowly, steam curling out my nose...

My murderous rage slowly subsided as I turned around softly, deciding not to stain my gaze with the existence of demons, lest I lose myself again...

Luckily, a pair of soft arms wrapped themselves around my waist as an extremely soft body pressed itself against my back..

"Fufufu... going all berserk like that just after arriving, are you trying to seduce me?" A soft melodic voice sounded in my ears as the soothing scent of winter daphnes and lilacs assaulted my senses...

I breathed in deeply, my nerves calming down significantly, I turned around, a smile on my face as I regarded the new arrival..

"Cara.."

"Fufufu.. I didn’t think you were such an exhibitionist, but" she started saying as she leaned in, her lips brushing my ears, her voice as low as a conspiratorial whisper "... I don’t mind... you can take me wherever and whenever you want...hooo" she finished by blowing a cold breath that frosted the tip of my ear..

A violent shiver ran through my body right then and there..

Goddamn, this seductress had to come out and show herself in public..

I didn’t know when she’d arrived, or if she had been here the entire time, my mind wasn’t in the space to have bothered checking earlier..

But she’d clearly felt my agitated state and had seen how easy it would’ve been for me to lose control, hence she’d stepped in as my form of restraint...

My expression grew even more tender as I pulled her in, her laughter turning into a surprised yelp that was swallowed down in a kiss..

I didn’t care for the world around me, I just needed to let this amazing young woman know that I appreciated her...

"Ohh... what was that for" she licked her lips as we separated, her eyes teasing..

"Nothing.. I just missed you is all" I didn’t bother with thanks or anything like that..

"It’s only been a few days though" she wrapped her hands around my neck..

"A few days too many" I kissed her again, this time shorter..

"Alright, I get it, but we should leave the get together for some other time, otherwise people might just stone you to death.. hehehe" hearing her words, I finally found time to take in my surroundings..

The whole place had gone dead silent again as all eyes were currently on us..

I could feel a torturous amount of killing intent from two different sources...

Seems I’d succeeded once more in feeding a public audience premium dog food...

A table went crashing into the wall as a torrent flames turned it to ash before its parts could even register their destruction...

A sofa suffered the same fate next, poor thing didn’t even know why it had been unfairly judged....

"Melissa, chill... what’s got you so upset" Khalifa and Kaila were currently trying their best not to get roasted by an irate Melissa as she threw a massive fit within their viewing room...

"I’m going over, that little wench isn’t taking my Dante from me, not after she decided to make him sad... I’ll kill her before she dares" Melissa stormed out of the room, her hair a living flame...

"Oho.. seems like there’s drama... welp, you can definitely count me in... hey!! Mel!! Wait for me!!!" Khalifa wasted no time as she bolted after Melissa, easily catching up to the raging red haired beauty...

"Sigh... I’m surrounded by crazy, irrational people " Kaila said this, yet there was an excited smile curling up her lips as she made her way to go after her overexcited sister and very agitated friend..

"This should be fun...oops.. haha.. almost let myself slip up there" her crooked smile vanished the moment she realized the expression she was making, her face returning to a composed kindly expression...

"Well then, Dante, let’s see what you’ve got for us, shall we"....
