Chaos Heaven-Dominating Technique
Chapter 248: Surfacing
Seeing the other disciples pounce like ravenous wolves, the members of the Yao Sect were eager to jump in. Anything that could fly out from that throne was definitely no ordinary item!
But just as they were about to make a move, they were stopped by Shen Haoran!
"Brother Shen, what’s wrong? Aren’t we going to fight for them? Those are all great treasures!" Long Zhen asked in confusion.
Shen Haoran’s brow was tightly furrowed. Staring at the five orbs of light dancing in mid-air, he said in a low voice, "Something isn’t right. We can’t act rashly."
Hearing this, the members of the Yao Sect raised their eyebrows and suppressed their impulsive urges. Shen Haoran held a supreme position in their hearts, and they believed his words without a doubt. Their thinking was simple: if their Sect Leader said it was a trap, then it was a trap. Even if the items before them were Heavenly and Earthly Treasures that could grant instant sainthood, they wouldn’t touch a single one.
In the great hall, dozens of disciples chased relentlessly after the five orbs of light, but not a single one of them could snatch one. Meanwhile, Shen Haoran and his group just watched quietly as the other disciples were being toyed with.
In the shadows, Xue Gong and a black-robed Ouyang Chen watched everything unfolding in the hall.
"Young Master Chen, it seems Shen Haoran has no intention of joining the scramble. He’s not taking the bait. What should we do?" Xue Gong said with a frown, looking at the completely unmoved Shen Haoran.
"Hmph. It’s not up to him whether he takes the bait or not!" Ouyang Chen sneered. He then formed a Seal Technique with his hands, and the orbs of light dancing in mid-air seemed to receive a command, shooting toward Shen Haoran!
"Hm?" This sudden change startled Shen Haoran. However, the other disciples, their heads clouded by the five orbs of light, didn’t notice and charged madly toward Shen Haoran.
Seeing this, Shen Haoran frowned. He clenched his right fist and threw a punch at the five approaching orbs. The powerful force of his fist, carrying a terrifying might, slammed into the orbs. The next moment, the orbs of light exploded, and the items within scattered, landing at the feet of the Yao Sect members.
The disciples who had been chasing the orbs were stunned by Shen Haoran’s punch. When they saw the members of the Yao Sect picking up the items from the five orbs, their expressions turned ugly.
"Shen Haoran, aren’t you going too far?! Are you trying to take all the treasures for yourself?" one disciple said with a hostile expression.
"You’ve already gotten enough benefits. Shouldn’t you share those five items with everyone? Hogging it all for yourself—where does that leave the rest of us?"
"That’s right! Everyone present in the hall gets a share! If you act like this, aren’t you afraid we’ll report you to the Sect Leader once we leave the Secret Realm?" In an instant, all the disciples aimed their accusations at Shen Haoran. The barrage of rebukes made the faces of the Yao Sect members turn grim.
"Hmph! Brother Shen never intended to join your scramble in the first place. If he had, do you think you’d even have a chance to be talking right now? These things flew over on their own! You can’t blame Brother Shen!" Shui Ruolan retorted coldly.
"Bullshit! I bet he used some kind of trick! Otherwise, what ability does he have to attract treasures flying out of the throne?"
"Right, he must have manipulated it behind the scenes! And he’s still pretending to be so righteous. How shameless!"
Seeing that Shen Haoran had no intention of handing over the items from the five orbs, the surrounding disciples’ insults grew increasingly nasty.
"You..." Shui Ruolan was choked with anger. Just as she was about to retaliate, Shen Haoran stopped her.
He reached out, picked up the three Scrolls, and looked at the crowd. A wicked smile touched his lips as he toyed with the Scrolls in his hand and said nonchalantly, "Isn’t this what you all want?"
Seeing Shen Haoran take out the three Scrolls, a flash of greed appeared in the eyes of the surrounding disciples. They looked as if they wanted nothing more than to rush over and snatch them away.
"Hmph!" Watching the disciples whose eyes were gleaming with greed, Shen Haoran snorted coldly. Immediately, the Fire Spirit Black Obsidian flared up in his hand, engulfing the three Scrolls!
The terrifying temperature of the Fire Spirit Black Obsidian needs no explanation. In the blink of an eye, the three Scrolls were burned to nothing, not even ash remained.
The ashes of the Scrolls drifted down through the gaps between his fingers, but Shen Haoran showed not a hint of regret. He originally had no intention of fighting them for these items, but hearing the disciples’ words had changed his mind. ’They want these things? Hmph, not a chance!’
"Shen Haoran, you..." Seeing the three Scrolls, which emanated the fluctuations of an Earth Tier Martial Skill, turn to ash, the disciples stared at Shen Haoran, absolutely enraged.
SWOOSH!
Before the disciples could even erupt in anger, Shen Haoran’s figure flickered and vanished. When he reappeared, he was already in the middle of the crowd.
His right hand shot out like lightning, grabbing the neck of a disciple in front of him and lifting him into the air!
"COUGH, COUGH... Shen Haoran... what... what do you think you’re doing?" the disciple cried out in terror, feeling the killing intent radiating from Shen Haoran.
"A moment ago, you were shouting the loudest, weren’t you? Speak. Where is Xue Gong?" Shen Haoran’s gaze turned icy as he barked the question. He hadn’t seen Xue Gong since entering the great hall, and this disciple was one of Xue Gong’s lackeys. This whole incident was definitely connected to Xue Gong. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"I... I don’t know!" The disciple’s heart trembled under Shen Haoran’s predatory gaze, and he hastily replied.
"Not talking, are you?" Shen Haoran snorted coldly. He then closed his eyes, and his powerful Spiritual Thought surged out like a tide.
A moment later, his closed eyes snapped open. A frigid voice rang in the disciple’s ear, "Since you won’t talk, I’ll send you to find him!"
With that, before the disciple could react, Shen Haoran kicked him in the stomach. The immense force sent him flying like a kite with a snapped string toward the side of the hall, where he crashed heavily against a Stone Pillar.
"Come on out. Otherwise, the next one I send flying won’t be just your underling," Shen Haoran said calmly, his voice echoing throughout the great hall. Everyone turned their gazes toward the Stone Pillar.
CLAP... CLAP... CLAP...
A moment later, the sound of clapping rang out, and a figure appeared before the crowd. It was Xue Gong.
"Shen Haoran, it seems I underestimated you," Xue Gong said, not even glancing at the disciple by his feet. A faint smile played on his lips as he stared at Shen Haoran.
"Were all these tricks your doing?" Shen Haoran asked in a low voice, pointing toward the towering throne.
"No, no, no. I’m not that capable," Xue Gong said lightly. "But I do know who it was. I imagine you’ll be very happy to see him."
"Who!" Shen Haoran demanded coldly.
"You really have a short memory for someone so important, Shen Haoran!" a hoarse voice called out. Ouyang Chen’s figure emerged from behind Xue Gong, his gaze fixed icily on Shen Haoran.
"Ouyang Chen!"
