Chasing Back His Beloved Beast Husbands
Chapter 66-The vision
The emperor was woken up by his personal guard and guided outside to witness the miracle. In the middle of the night, the world seemed to have become brighter than day.
The astronomer was summoned by his side immediately. The emperor stood with an imposing aura, his might robes swaying with the blowing wind and his hands clasped at his back.
He stared at the bright moons that shone brighter than the sun and the light that appeared out of nowhere that seemed to be powering them.
His eyebrows were furrowed so tight that they nearly touched, his breathing came in slower breaths and his heart felt a discomfort than made his phoenix blood ran hot.
"What is the meaning of this?" He demanded to know from the stargazer.
The astronomer was at a loss. On one hand the emperor, his guards and some ministers who had been come to hear his readings were waiting eagerly and on the other, the brightness of the three moons and the light encircling the beast world made it impossible for him or anyone else to see the stars.
The stars were overshadowed in the brightness of the night and they vanished. Yet, he was being asked to read the stars and predict what kind of omen the light meant.
Fearing for his life and that of his family by defying the emperor, the astronomer forced a confident facade and looked up and got to work.
The light was too bright to see through, though, it didn’t hurt his eyes no matter how long he gazed at it. It was third rarest thing he’d seen after the tri-soul marriage, the moon dividing into three and now this.
They almost felt connected to him. He was just about to give up when a scene appeared on the surface of the moon, it was clear as day and easy to see.
Princess Sheana stood in a red armour with an army of dragons, serpents, foxes, War-tigers and numerous veiled butterflies behind her, all of their armour painted with blood and at her feet, the emperor lay, defeated.
Sheana held the emperor’s heart in her right palm and his crown on the other, she lifted them so high the whole world could see before speaking.
"The old emperor is dead, a new monarch has risen today!"
"Long may you reign, phoenix queen!" Lume dynasty responded and cheers followed.
There was not a single tear in the subjects or remorse for their dead emperor. Because in the next moment Princess Sheana allies came and stood beside her. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The domineering group that came to her aid were Princess Aenyra, sovereign Aeltharion, Lord Nytherael, Lord Sseraphis and War-tiger Tivnir and a powerful veiled butterfly that the astronomer hadn’t recognized.
"I have purified this land of it’s true monster. And as a show of good faith, I will heal all that was broken," she said and snapped her back at Sseraphis.
The nine-headed snake stepped forward. He pressed his hand on the ground, a shadow as big as the dynasty formed on the ground, completely suppressing every beasts shadow.
The subjects that were cheering loudly froze and remembered all their loved ones that they had lost to such shadows of the beast, and his poisons. They feared they were next.
To their and the astronomers surprise, all the victims of that attack who’d gone missing or were proclaimed dead at the time started emerging from the shadows below them.
"The lord was furious and his technique we feared took our loved ones to the afterlife. But that wasn’t the case," Princess Sheana announced, but the beasts were too busy embracing their lost loved ones. The beasts that had been taken were equally confused. "Today, at the start of my reign, I bring the good news of the return of your loved ones and... the promise a dynasty safe from poisons."
The scene came to an abrupt end. The astronomer was sweating buckets at this point. Not once in his entire life had he seen visions. He got predictions from the stars but not something so vivid that he not only witnessed with his eyes but felt deep in his heart.
Unlike before when he saw the predictions that princess Sheana and princess Samihita, the twins of fate who unite the beast world and bring about a new reign, today was different.
Today, he saw princess Sheana defeating the emperor but princess Samihita wasn’t in the vision. The new vision of lume dynasty only held princess Sheana, the most unlikely character to lead an army or even conquer a kingdom.
He swallowed. The new vision was sure to ignite the flame of hatred in the emperor’s heart for princess Sheana and put a much more dangerous and focused target on the fiery princesses back.
"My patience is thin."
The emperor shifted his posture slightly but he still kept up his dominant aura. He didn’t give away what he was thinking or feelings about the miracle that engulfed the world.
The astronomer turned around. He bent down on his knees and let his head fall to the ground as a means of respect to the emperor.
"It is an auspicious sign that changed the path of fate of the crown!" He declared.
"How so?" The emperor’s eyes darkened.
The last time the astronomer read a prediction about the crown, he ended up telling him that his daughters would create a free world with no dynasty and end not just his reign but his descendants too.
The astronomer also felt torn. As a loyal subject, it was his duty to warn his king of the impending danger but as his previous prediction had cursed the princess to a life of torture day in and day out from their father, he couldn’t stomach having more on his conscious by speaking the truth.
"It is written in the stars that if the emperor were to find a white-hearted and black skinned fish, you can use it’s heart to continue your reign forever!" He lied with a false reading to protect princess Sheana.
The emperor’s eyes lit up. Forever sounded too good to pass up, even though he didn’t know how likely he could find such a fish but a reading that ensured he remained on the throne earned a smile from him.
"What are you all waiting for?" He turned to his guards and the ministers present. "Bow and pay respects to the auspicious light!" He ordered.
And without resistance, the ministers and hus guards complied. The emperor felt peace that he hadn’t had in a long time. "Finally, some hope to my reign," he breathed out.
