Chapter 37.

As usual, Gangnam Station was crowded.

Woojin played with his watch strap which was made of worn leather. It was a nervous habit of his.

Woojin looked up at the sky and saw that it was very blue today. It was the beginning of November and very chilly. One needed to wear multiple layers to keep warm. Woojin checked his cellphone. His hands were very cold.

“Is this good weather?”

It was rare for Woojin to leave his home during the weekends. Most times, he stayed home and slept late. He would read or watch his DVDs. Woojin liked these repetitive routines. If he didn’t follow them, he felt nervous.

Suddenly, a warm tall figure created a shadow over Woojin and whispered, “Yes, it is good weather.”

Shin stood behind him in his dark jean shirt and a black sweater on top. It was a simple layered look and perfect for the weather. With the dark caramel-colored wool coat, Shin looked casual yet well-dressed. He looked so different than his usual business-like appearance, and Woojin stared at him quietly.

Shin Kim certainly was a very noticeable man. He had a gorgeous face and he was unusually tall, making some passersby turn around and stare.

Woojin suddenly looked away after staring for a long time. Shin’s lean yet muscular body made Woojin feel hot even in this chilly weather.

Shin asked, “Were you waiting for a long time?”

“No, I just got here…”

When Woojin looked up with a frown, Shin smiled awkwardly and caressed Woojin’s forehead with his thumb. Shin was a very affectionate date. He liked to smell, caress, and touch.

Woojin, who wasn’t used to these kinds of physical contacts, always disliked others touching him.

But not when Shin was the one. Shin’s touch and warmth felt wonderful to him.

When Woojin closed his eyes sleepily, Shin lowered his hand and held Woojin’s wrist. The pulse in it began to jump wildly. Shin watched Woojin for a while before asking, “How long do we have till the movie starts?”

“About 30 minutes?”

“Should we get some coffee first then?”

Yesterday after they had lunch together, Shin asked Woojin out on a movie date.

“This weekend. It will be a date.”

Shin’s voice didn’t tremble at all. Woojin felt thirsty for some reason so he grabbed a cup of water. With a grin, Shin added, “We are dating each other, right? In a relationship?”

Woojin ended up coughing, and Shin laughed and wiped Woojin’s lips for him. Shin Kim was very careful when it came to romantic relationships. Woojin, until now, had no interest in others. But now that he did, he studied Shin and wondered, ‘Is he kind to everyone?’

Woojin tried not to think this way, but it was no use. Woojin was so deep in his thoughts that he didn’t even realize Shin was way ahead of him. Shin stopped and turned around and saw that Woojin wasn’t paying attention. Shin waved to get his attention. He looked naughty as he grinned.

Shin asked, “What are you thinking so hard about?”

“Oh…”

“You aren’t thinking about someone else even though you are with me, right?”

That could never happen. When Woojin bit his lips and shook his head, Shin gently pulled him towards him so they were walking together side by side. As they walked into the theater café, Shin murmured, “Should we have just stayed home and watched a DVD?”

“…”

“I want to touch you, but I’m afraid people are going to stare.”

Shin talked so casually as if he was talking about the weather. Woojin’s neck began to turn pink, and when Shin noticed it, he straightened Woojin’s collar to hide it for him.

Shin’s finger touched Woojin’s neck lightly. He felt ticklish so he bit his lips, making Shin smile again.

“Your orders are ready. Two cappuccinos.”

Shin grabbed the cups and handed one to Woojin. The movie they were going to watch was part of a famous spy movie series that came out every year. Shin smiled and explained that it was going to be fun and easy to understand even if Woojin didn’t watch the last one.

The problem was, Woojin couldn’t concentrate on the movie at all.

First of all, this movie theater was a bit different than the other ones. It was very big and there were only 40 seats. Each seat was rather spacious and there were a lot of spaces between the seats.

Woojin asked, “Our seats… Where…?”

“Oh, I reserved the premium seats. Most of the regular seats are so uncomfortable for me…”

The premium seats were located in the very last row. Woojin could understand what he meant. Shin was so much taller than an average man. Shin explained, “If I take a regular chair, I have to crumple myself into it.”

“Haha.”

Woojin laughed and Shin’s expression turned strange. For some reason, Woojin’s face turned odd as well. Woojin seemed like someone who had never used his facial muscles before until now. His smile disappeared quickly.

But Shin continued to stare at Woojin as he whispered, “I have never seen you laugh and smile like that.”

Then suddenly, the theatre dimmed. The movie was about to start. The screen announced that the film was going to begin right away without any ads.

And when the movie began…

All Woojin could feel was Shin’s breath in his ear. His heart began to beat fast.

Shin whispered, “… Now no one can see us.”

Woojin moaned and put his arms around Shin’s neck to pull him towards him. Luckily, the seats next to them were empty. Shin lifted the armrest up and pulled Woojin towards him.

Shin’s large hand caressed Woojin’s cheeks. His lips covered Woojin’s passionately. When Woojin seemed to have a hard time breathing, Shin pulled back slightly. He seemed tense. His heart was jumping uncontrollably like it was going to burst out of his chest.

Shin smiled and continued to caress Woojin’s cheeks over and over again. He then turned to the bright screen.

… But neither of them could concentrate. After they left the theatre, neither of them could remember the movie.
