Chillin' on an Uninhabited Island in Another World

Chapter 56: Toward Tomorrow

Translate to

Dinner was wild boar meatball soup.

The mixture of chicken eggs and meat was blended with various minced vegetables and mushrooms depending on the batch, making every bite a delightful surprise of different flavors and textures. The broth was a rich dashi drawn from kelp, mushrooms, and meat; though light, it was incredibly savory.

"Tomorrow’s finally the day," Shion said, her voice filled with deep emotion.

"Mmph, mmph. Guess so," Shouko replied, already helping herself to a second serving of meatballs from the pot on the table.

"I have no objections to So-kun's plan. After that, I just want to know the finer details of the rules," Chiyu cut in, and Minori nodded in agreement.

"True. Let's ask our questions tonight."

Minori seemed to have a much heartier appetite than usual, and I doubted it was just my imagination. Perhaps it was because she had burned so much energy during our "exercise" earlier.

When I had finally come to my senses after attacking her until her legs gave out, her buttocks had been stained white, and a flood of white ★ 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ★ fluid was overflowing from between her thighs. She had collapsed to her knees the exact moment I let out the final burst.

Again, I must reiterate: it was intercrural.

Once the cleanup was finished, I had carried her home on my back. Together, we had Chiyu cast Advanced Heal on us. My exhaustion vanished, but nutritional status is outside the scope of recovery magic. You get hungry in proportion to how much you move. My own chopsticks were moving just as fast as hers.

Was this hunger from the bout with Minori, or the cumulative energy drain from the triple-header after lunch? I had engaged in those acts with Chiyu, Shion, and Minori in rapid succession.

When my eyes met Minori’s, she looked bashful, yet somehow proud. Being desired by me seemed to have a positive effect on her. Of course, for my part, I was extremely happy to have become close to an attractive girl like Minori in so many ways. I smiled back at her before looking around at everyone.

"Shall we do a quick recap of the plan?"

"Mm. First, we move while hiding our identities. If we wear linen robes over our uniforms, no one will recognize us unless they look from point-blank range."

Even if some people remembered what everyone said in that first dream, they were likely few and far between. There was a risk of being identified by our abilities alone, but it was far better than showing our faces. Furthermore, since Shion and Minori hadn't revealed their abilities in the classroom, they wouldn't be outed as long as they stayed hidden. It was all gain and no loss, so there was no reason not to do it.

"And Sousuke will run using Chiyu-chi’s buffs and healing, right? The rest of us will move on Mashiro. Chiyu-chi will just keep re-casting the buff whenever Sousuke’s runs out."

Additionally, Chiyu or I would apply buffs to the rest of the group as needed.

"If we encounter classmates, I'll listen to them and quickly judge if they're harmful or harmless. This info will be useful for future interactions, not just this event, so I'll do my best," Shion added.

Shion’s Lie-Detection Ability would truly show its worth in interpersonal dealings. If someone saw our power and offered to cooperate while hiding an ulterior motive, Shion would see right through them regardless of how well they polished their words. Conversely, if someone spoke from the bottom of their heart about wanting to work together, we might be able to remain close with them even after the event. In a game where only one person can win, anyone who can still cooperate knowing those stakes is someone worth trusting.

"And Sousuke-san will handle any students who take hostile actions or tell lies to deceive us. He'll stall them within the bounds of the rules to reduce the competition."

—If a participant's life activity is terminated, such as by choosing death or killing another, they will lose 1,825 points.

Even without that rule, I had no intention of committing murder, but I had to be careful to ensure no accidents happened.

"Alright, sounds like everyone's on the same page."

With the strategy review finished, dinner wound down peacefully. We all said our thanks for the meal, and next was bath time.

I took my bath first, and while the girls were in the water, I finished up various chores. I used Storage & Replacement to clean Shion’s room, tidy the kitchen, and rearrange things to keep the place neat.

While Minori and I had been gathering stone, Shouko had summoned sheep, and the three of them had sheared wool and milked them. This was because summoning the "Fluffy Dragon" would hit her summon limit, preventing her from calling other creatures for a while. Milk, wool, and everything else we could get from the sheep were incredibly useful, so I was grateful for their thoughtfulness.

Minori, who had been indulging in indecent acts with me while everyone else worked, looked apologetic for a while, but I wondered if her heart would feel lighter once she learned through the girls' "information sharing" that they were all in the same boat.

Lost in thought, I stared at a candle in my room.

"...Ah, how about making a lantern?"

If I put the candle in a glass container, maybe it would increase the light output. As I puzzled over the idea, a recipe unlocked, so I immediately crafted one and placed a candle inside.

"Oh, this feels much better."

Plus, it made it easier to carry. The house was made of wood, and carrying a naked candle around—even on a candlestick—was dangerous.

"So... Sousuke?" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Shouko’s reserved voice came from outside the door.

"Ah, yeah, come in."

I started to get nervous, realizing I was about to do that with Shouko.

"Yeah... Huh, is it brighter in here?"

Shouko entered the room holding her own candlestick, her voice sounding surprised.

"I tried making a lantern. Of course, I'll make them for everyone else later."

"Oh~! Typical Sousuke. Life’s getting more convenient by the second."

"Honestly, it’s fun seeing the list of things I can craft grow."

"I get it. It's fun for me to think about what kind of fluffy things I can summon too. Though, normally, this isn't the kind of situation where you’d say stuff like that."

"Yeah... More importantly, Shouko—why are you in your school uniform?"

Indeed, Shouko was dressed in her uniform. While the girls were bathing, I had cleaned their uniforms and underwear using Storage & Replacement, so it wasn't a problem, but usually she would have changed into pajamas. Furthermore, through her white shirt, I could see the faint outline of pink protrusions. My heart began to race.

"Hmm..."

Shouko blew out her own candle, set it on my desk, and turned back to me.

"Maybe because it’s the best outfit for what I'm about to do with Sousuke?"

With that, Shouko reached for her buttons. However, she didn't start from the top or bottom; she began unfastening only the buttons near the line connecting those two protrusions.

"I mean, Sousuke, it’s my turn today, but you’ve been 'letting it out' for everyone else since this morning, haven't you? Is it even going to stand up for me?"

Shouko climbed onto my bed, speaking in a slightly pouting tone.

"No, that’s not true at all."

"Really now?"

"Really. ...Actually, Chiyu hit me with Energy Up right after my bath..."

"Eh, I didn't hear about that... I-I see, I see. So... is it that thing where it won't stop until you let out ten rounds?"

"That’s the one."

"Y-Yikes. Well, as long as it stands, I guess it’s fine."

Shouko leaned her back against the wall at the far side of the bed. Then, with her fingers, she pulled the opening of her uniform apart. She spread the space between her breasts, flaunting them for me.

"Put it in here, okay?"

I felt a massive surge rising within me.

Today was going to be another very long night.
