Eunuch Xin was dressed in plain clothes, munching on a bun and glancing at the surroundings.

"Stop the horse carriage." Lin Xuan Qi said to the coachman and the coachman did what he was told.

The horses neighed and the horse carriage came to a stop.

"Long time no see." Lu Ting said with a smile when she got to his horse carriage.

Lin Xuan Qi got out from his horse carriage and when he alighted from it, he sensed someone coming at him from the side and he dodged it.

Huo Fei Li’s hand missed and he nearly fell flat onto his face.

"I told you to be normal like everyone else." Lu Ting rolled her eyes at Huo Fei Li.

"I was just trying to give brother Lin a surprise..." Huo Fei Li scratched his head and gave Lin Xuan Qi an awkward smile.

Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at Huo Fei Li and said, "You’ve certainly surprised me with the sudden appearance."

He didn’t expect to see them here personally.

"Fei Li just wanted an excuse to get out of Bian Jing." Lu Ting gave out a sigh and said.

Huo Fei Li protested and said, "I wanted to make sure the sword that brother Lin wanted would be delivered safely.

"Isn’t that the same for you?

When Lu Ting and Huo Fei Li got out from their horse carriages, they glanced at the decorations for the wedding and thought that they were having a déjà vu.

"It’s for the wedding with my concubines." Lin Xuan Qi explained and they nodded their heads at him.

Huo Fei Li’s eyes beamed with admiration for him and he wanted to ask how he did it but stopped himself when he sensed Lu Ting’s gaze on him.

He would have to find an appropriate time and ask Lin Xuan Qi about his secrets.

So far, whatever Lin Xuan Qi taught him worked and his relationship with Lu Ting was much better now.

"Come with me." Lin Xuan Qi said and they followed him with their guards and servants behind.

Lin Xuan Qi got into his favorite seat looking out towards the door and he gestured for Lu Ting and Huo Fei Li to take a seat.

"It feels great to be back here." Huo Fei Li glanced at the familiar sight and said.

Lu Ting frowned when she heard him and she stole a glance at Xue Cong.

Fortunately, she saw that Xue Cong wasn’t looking at her warily anymore and she felt a sense of relief.
