Zeke watched in awe as multiple panels emerged right in front of him. It was only after a few seconds that he snapped out of his daze, his heart beating wildly. Even though he prepared himself for this, he still can’t help but be in a trance.
’Classes can really be evolved!’
With irrefutable proof in front of him, he couldn’t deny it anymore, not that he ever wanted to. An electrifying sensation suddenly coursed through his body, making him shiver. His lips moved continuously, struggling to speak.
But one thing was for certain.
Zeke was incredibly excited, like a child. How could he not? He didn’t even take a moment to compose himself before checking the description for his new class, wanting to confirm something.
[Soul Swordsman (Green): 0/1,000]
[Description: A unique existence among swordsmen, capable of imbuing their will and soul to their blade.]
’Soul Swordsman... It’s this class!’
The Starlight family had access to the records of every awakened class in history, and he spent most of his free time as a child browsing them, learning about the advantages and weaknesses of each class.
One of the classes that struck him the most was ’Soul Swordsman’, a variation of the Swordsman class. The Soul Swordsman class first appeared during the deadliest period in the Age of Classes, possessed by a legendary person known as Li Yang.
With the Soul Swordsman class, Li Yang reached Rank 6, defying expectations. Before him, nobody else with a Green-quality class ever managed to climb up to Rank 6. But utilizing the Soul Swordsman’s rare spiritual aspect, he managed to be unrivaled at a young age.
However, Li Yang’s incredible fortune and talent also contributed to his rise, not solely because of his class.
After Li Yang, only a few managed to awaken the Soul Swordsman class in history, and a handful of them grew into notable figures in their respective era. Though none of them ever reached the height of Li Yan’s power, Zeke knew it was mostly because times had changed since Li Yang’s era.
Despite being a green-quality class, the Soul Swordsman was a very rare class, proof of this was the fact that only fifty people ever awakened it in history. What determined the color-quality of a class wasn’t their rarity, but their potential and strength.
The Soul Swordsman class wasn’t much different from the ordinary Swordsman class except for one skill—the ’Soul Sword Manifestation’, a spirit-type skill. It allowed the user to grant their sword a spirit, allowing them to destroy magic spells and harm the minds of their enemies with every attack.
Skills that could attack the mind of an enemy were rare, even by today’s standards. But in the past, they were almost non-existent. Thus, using the Soul Sword Manifestation skill alone, Li Yang swept through all of his enemies, leaving behind a legend of a green-quality class competing with purple-quality classes.
But of course, that feat wasn’t replicable in the current era anymore. As generations pass, humans adapt and overcome. Nowadays, there are a lot of techniques specifically made for guarding the mind and soul against spiritual attacks.
However, those techniques rarely appeared in the market, and even then, they were very expensive.
At the very least, as long as his opponent didn’t have a technique like that, Zeke was certain of his chances of winning. He couldn’t help himself anymore and released the joy in his heart.
"Haha... haha... hahaha!"
Those who were walking outside saw a young man standing on the street for a few minutes, changing expressions multiple times, and then laughing like a maniac at the end.
It was strange, but considering this was the Underground, everyone just glanced for a second before losing interest.
Zeke quickly noticed his actions and felt a sense of embarrassment. But it was quickly overridden by the urgency to go home. Without wasting any more time, he turned around and went back to his apartment.

Whiskerbarket’s Apartments.
Inside his unit, Zeke locked the doors and sat on his mattress, taking multiple deep breaths to compose himself. The shock and emotions brought by his class evolution made him unable to control himself.
’This isn’t good... ha... I’m too excited.’
He placed a hand over his heart, feeling as if a storm was brewing inside his body, his heart beating as loud and swift as thunder. He turned a glance to the mirror and saw his expression—a large, unapologetic smile.
Zeke quickly averted his eyes, unused to seeing him so excited.
He opened up the Gamers Attributes panel to distract himself.
***

Zeke stared at his panel blankly for a while. He knew that the improvement would be great, but he didn’t expect it to be this amazing... this was too exaggerated. His entire being essentially underwent a complete transformation.
Besides obvious improvements such as his class and skills, his reminiscing also created a technique called Heart Sword, which had a max proficiency of 10,000. If he were to judge the quality of a skill by their max proficiency, then his created technique was far superior to his two Soul Swordsman skills.
His Gamers Proficiency and Gamers Attributes also gained one point of proficiency, surprising him slightly.
’The proficiency should be because of the class evolution. Then, the attributes... is it because of the rank increase?’
As a benefit of evolving his class, all of his attributes were elevated. The most remarkable increase was Spiritforce. One value of Spiritforce was equivalent to one-hundred kg of Striking Force.
Attributes were linked directly to Echoforce, so his Echoforce increased as well. The increase in his Echoforce naturally made him break through a minor rank, reaching Rank 1.2.
Moreover, his Echoforce was also nearing the requirements for Rank 1.3.
Rank 1.3 requires 25 echoforce, and he was only 2 points short of that milestone.
After checking his attributes, Zeke now moved to his newly created technique, Heart Sword. If anyone knew that someone as young as him created a technique, they would surely be in disbelief.
It wasn’t an ordinary technique either.
[Heart Sword (Active 0/10,000): For 30 seconds, all your attacks (within range) will hit the target, ignoring all hurdles.]
