The next day.

Feng Jinglei got up early and had to go to the company with Qin Feimo after breakfast.

But thinking about last night, Qin Feimo might not take her, and she still felt a knot in her heart. She couldn’t figure out how to sit in his passenger seat as if nothing had happened.

Just two bites into a bun, and only a sip of porridge, she saw Qin Feimo stand up across from her.

Zhuang Yanyan looked up and saw he hadn’t finished his bowl of porridge, she couldn’t help but ask, "Mo, are you full already?"

"Hmm."

With a light hum, his figure disappeared from the dining room.

Feng Jinglei also lifted her eyes, glancing at the disappearing back. Maybe, as she thought, he didn’t want to take her, so he left early.

She wasn’t in a hurry either. Anyway, she had to go for a hospital check-up today. If she didn’t go with him, it would actually be more convenient; she just needed to give Manager Chen a call.

"Grandma, I’m full too. You and Grandpa Qin take your time eating."

"Alright, be careful on the road, okay?"

She turned and left the dining room, and there was indeed no sign of Qin Feimo in the living room.

Did he leave early after all?

She didn’t mind and went straight to the second floor. After getting her bag and coat, she planned to walk to the intersection; there was still plenty of time.

But just as she changed her shoes and walked out the elaborate gate, the two luxurious blue sports cars were still conspicuously parked there in the yard.

She was stunned, glancing at that familiar car body— it was indeed Qin Feimo’s.

He hadn’t left?

As if sensing someone at the door, Qin Feimo, inside the car, slightly turned his head, seemingly waiting for her.

She was taken aback, thinking that after last night’s incident, his anger hadn’t subsided, and he probably wouldn’t want to give her a ride.

She stood there, unclear about his intentions, not knowing whether to get in the car or not.

"Aren’t you going?"

Only when he spoke did she look up again, hesitate for a while, and then step forward toward the cool sports car, opening the passenger door and getting in.

Throughout the journey, neither of them spoke, and the atmosphere inside the car was somewhat oppressive. With the windows tightly closed, Feng Jinglei’s heart was even more apprehensive.

Turning her head, she sneaked a glance at the man’s profile. He was clearly supposed to be angry, so why was he still willing to give her a ride?

"Hey, do you guys think Feng Jinglei and President Qin will get married?"

"I don’t know. I heard that although Feng Jinglei is nothing much now and just staying with the Qin Family, she used to be the daughter of the Feng Corporation, and she’s so pretty. If she really ends up with President Qin, it would be a perfect match!"

Listening to the whispers around, although very quiet, Feng Jinglei could hear them clearly.

Could she really be with Qin Feimo?

She entered the regular elevator and headed directly to the finance department, while Qin Feimo took his exclusive elevator straight to the top floor.

Looking at the time, it was already eight o’clock. She didn’t walk out of the elevator but returned to the first floor instead.

Taking out her phone, she called Chen Feng to request a half-day leave, unsure if it would be enough time.

"Taking leave?" came Chen Feng’s voice over the phone.

"Yes, I need to go to the hospital." To prove she wasn’t taking leave arbitrarily, Feng Jinglei told Chen Feng she was going to the hospital.

"Feeling unwell?" Chen Feng, being a friend, asked concernedly.
