Cosmic Patron System: 100X Return on Every Reward
Chapter 28 - 0 | Rebirth of StarWalker
The first step towards the reconstruction hadn’t even been completed and Reyansh felt his threshold for pain nearing its limit. His mind was trying to cope with the pain of blood being forcefully pushed out of the blood vessels.
He tried to open his eyes but they refused to open or couldn’t be opened, Reyansh was in no state to mind the difference.
He forced his hands to move, and failed at it. Starting from the hands, he felt the loss of sensation first followed by numbness in his legs.
Outside of his body, there was a unique process taking place. Except for the earlier dots of blood, all his blood was gathering into a blob, a little above his chest where the Elixir had entered moments ago.
After his first guttural scream, his vocal cords stopped due to the sheer strain of scream. Still, a pained gasp escaped from his lips in between his attempt to open his eyes.
AARRHH!! ARRHH!
His back against the bed was the only external touch signifying his connection to the world. But the next moment he lost sensation of that touch too, he felt his body rising in air.
As his eyes refused to open, his brain envisioned himself in a sky filled with twinkling bright stars. He found himself floating in there too.
As all his skin and blood collected in form of dark red blob above his body. He felt a tiny moment of relief but his brain already warned that worst was yet to come.
With that thought, he braced himself for more pain, knowing it won’t matter anyway.
That moment only lasted for blink of an eye as the next on list were his muscles. The instance his muscles started loosening up like relieved of stress from a tightened coil, a pain worse than before shot through his entire being.
He put all his strength in vocal cords as he screamed like there was no tomorrow.
AAARRHHHH!! AAARRRRRHHHH!! AAAR-!!
His voice became hoarse from screaming, his cords stopped abruptly due to overuse.
In the mindscape of Reyansh, he saw the shine of stars dimming at a continuous rate. But he couldn’t do anything, failing to move his body, he was forced only to watch, as the stars dimmed every second.
On the outside of his body, the blob started becoming bigger as every fibre of muscles were being absorbed in that blob.
As every muscles and tissue from his body were stripped, his barely straining voice from the vocal cord stopped completely.
He only floated in air as a skeleton, but he had no idea. He only saw his star studded sky become completely dim as multiple stars disappeared, while some lost their lustre.
He had lost all physical sense of pain, what remained was a bare soul and strained conscious bearing the complete weight of his physical reconfiguration.
Without wasting a beat, his white bones started eroding in form if powder before being absorbed by the blob above. While Reyansh felt his sky going dark with every moment in his mindscape.
Every falling star was like a strike from hammer on an already weary soul. He just gritted his metaphorical teeth and did what he had been doing for years, endure.
The bones looked like they were attracted to the blob and stretching himself into powder to just enter the blood.
Few moments later, all the bones had completely disappeared. There was only a deep red drop with golden sheen, the Elixir and the dark red, almost dirty looking blob above.
For a second, they maintained their position while Reyansh floated in the dark sky, almost at the limit of losing his consciousness.
The smaller drop of Elixir shot up mixing with bigger blob. The dark red colored blob started churning as wisps of black smoke evaporated from the large blob, removing all impurities.
Inwardly, Reyansh felt his consciousness being put through a ringer too. ’Just how much more?’ the only singular thought remained in that churned up conscious.
As all the black smoke from blob was evaporated, the appearance of the large puddle changed. It looked like not only impurities but the weakness itself was being removed from it.
From dark red it now appeared a bright red with a golden sheen, signifying complete assimilation of Sovereign Elixir.
As the shine on large drop settled, something emerged from it as a heart started forming underneath the large drop.
Slowly the heart formed completely looking brand new and full of vitality as next moment a sound echoed in the mindscape of Reyansh.
BDUMP! BDUMP!
This time Reyansh knew the reason behind the sound. It worked like a healing tone for his exhausted soul. As felt his heart beating rhythmically.
Followed by the heart, the entire skeleton system started appearing, carefully laid out by the large blob floating above.
Reyansh saw the birth of a new galaxy in his dark and empty mindscape, brighter and stronger than before.
After the completion of bones, Reyansh started feeling his senses getting back as the new muscles, organs and tissue started appearing alongside his skeleton.
As every fibre coiled better and stronger than before forming a much more compact and stronger muscles. Every muscle fibre added only brought back his senses with increasing second.
Reyansh felt his mindscape loosening as he sensed the new muscles attaching themselves to his skeleton. As his body worked it way to reach the earlier configuration, the blob floating above started decreasing in size, gradually.
The pain was still there with every movement but it was sting compared to earlier "excruciating pain."
The large blob reduced to the size of small drop as his body was covered with the muscles completely.
His mindscape started shaking, not due to pain but rather an announcement of his brain, ready to allow the conscious to escape this coping mechanism.
While Reyansh tried to open his eyes and move his limbs, skin started appearing over his musculoskeletal frame with precision that dwarfed the accuracy of any known machine.
The small floating drop reduce in size with haste as the final step of his body reconstruction neared its completion.
The first external sense of touch he felt even before being able to open his eyes was softness of his bed, as his body lay naked in the bed.
After few seconds, his eyes finally opened trying to look in the surrounding. Though he still couldn’t quickly open his eyes as his hand reflexively appeared to cover his eyes.
Steadily his eyes opened, his hand came into view. He was stunned for a moment, looking at his unblemished and clean appearance of his hand.
As he finally inspected his own hand, his mouth opened unconsciously, "I survived through it."
Before he could try to stand up, his head started feeling heavy. The entire ordeal he had gone through was solely too much for anyone to handle.
His body finally reacted to the stress of reconstruction, as he started losing consciousness, his last thoughts were, ’There’s a need to coin a new term because this was so outside the realm of excruciating pain.’
