Chapter 43: 043 | Splitting Strike & Looming Threat

The bear got on its all fours as it ran towards Reyansh. He swung his hammer down, striking the ground and causing a huge crack that sent vibrations in all directions. The bear lost its balance, forcing it to stop midway.

Reyansh took the chance and ran towards the Flarecoat Bear and jumped over its head, bringing the hammer down on its head.

The bear tried to defend itself by raising its hands, only for hammer to break through both its hands and splattered the brain.

The bear died, eyeing Reyansh with hate and fearful eyes.

[Dread Fist: That’s what I am talking about, break through your enemy’s defenses with sheer strength. You sure, you don’t have Titan blood?]

[Fiery_Redina: Okay, I am not being sarcastic, I really feel bad for the monsters now.]

[Anonimus_Assassin: Yeah, I would rather prefer not knowing how I died instead having my brain scattered in front of my eyes.]

Reyansh half swung the hammer to remove the excess blood on it then swinging it back over his shoulder.

"Am I being too brutal?" he asked genuinely, seeing the reaction.

[Storm_Knight: Technically, no but I guess they have seen being fighting elegantly since start so it may seem a bit out of the place.]

[Storm_Knight: But it is enjoyable to see you, so don’t worry and carry on.]

[The Blazing Sandra: A Hunter by nature should be capable of being cruel, you are just being brutal yet.]

"Thanks for your words, brother and Sandra," Reyansh stated as he continued deeper in the dungeon.

He encountered few more Cinder Beetles and four Flarecoat Bear, he eliminated them all with his destructive strength.

As he kept moving forward, suddenly the density of trees started decreasing and the temperature of the surrounding area increased too.

He didn’t even sensed any monsters nearby when suddenly his perception warned him. He slowed his approach slightly.

The next moment, a huge stag came into his view with its antlers on fire.

[Raisena_Forge: This should be the boss, isn’t it?]

[Ellise: Probably, can you one shot it?]

[Ellise has issued a challenge for 500 Cosmic coins]

[Challenge: Kill the boss in one strike within one minute.]

"Yup, that’s the boss and I accept, Ellise," he replied.

’Though it will be a bit tricky now, I can’t even do a test hit,’ he remarked internally.

The Stag was twice the size of Reyansh, its thick fire-resistant fur, broad hoofs and pointed big antlers singed with fire on both sides of its head painted an intimidating picture.

The Pyrostag seeing an intruder kicked the dirt with its hoofs as a warning. Reyansh didn’t moved forward rather started circling around, thinking of the best way to attack.

He guided his mana into the hammer, the next moment, Reyansh felt the weight of hammer decreased as a mana layer coated the entire hammer.

Seeing Reyansh ready to attack, the Pyrostag kicked the dirt again, brandishing its antlers and charged at him.

’Time to test it out,’ he mentally commented.

Instead of running head on, Reyansh ran to the side causing the Pyrostag to skid for slight distance and change its course on the tail of Reyansh.

While Reyansh increased his speed, enough to keep the Pyrostag in chase but still fast to create reasonable distance.

[Fiery_Redina: Okay, what it will be this time?]

[Anonimus_Assassin: I don’t know, maybe neck or abdominal area for maximum damage.]

[Storm_Knight: Head smash, probably.]

[Dread Fist: A simple head smash won’t be enough to kill it in one strike.]

As he ran, he mentally commanded, prompting a change in the structure of hammer. Its flat surface grew into a pointed tip turning the normal hammer into pointed hammer.

[Dread Fist: Okay, I see...Interesting.]

Identifying a tree with thick trunk, Reyansh ran towards it and used its trunk to change his momentum in the opposite direction and jump a bit higher.

Due to sudden change by Reyansh, the Pyrostag was caught off-guard but it continued anyway, aiming to hit him with flaming antlers.

As Reyansh and Pyrostag neared, he increased the length of the handle, increasing the reach of the hammer.

Reyansh brought down the pointed hammer with a powerful swing, while Pyrostag aimed its antlers at Reyansh from below.

Before the antler on fire could reach Reyansh, his hammer struck its head, in the center. With a slight CRUNCH sound, its head split open due to impact.

The Pyrostag died at the moment of impact, causing it to fall down as it eyes popped out and skull remained open with hammer still lodged in its head.

Reyansh also landed behind the Pyrostag as its body skidded on the ground.

[Daoist_kun: Holy Shit!]

[Ellise: Perfect]

[You have won both the challenges.]

[Ellise has gifted you 500 Cosmic coins]

[You have earned 50,000 Cosmic coins] (Perk 1)

[Raisena_Forge forge has gifted you 3400 Cosmic coins]

[You have earned 340,000 Cosmic coins] (Perk 1)

Reyansh retrieved the hammer, turning it back onto tattoo. He looked at the body of the Pyrostag then stored it in his inventory.

"Thanks Ellise and Raisena_Forge for your challenges, it keeps the stream fresh and challenging." Reyansh addressed as stepped into the exit portal.

[Raisena_Forge: You are right except the challenging part. You make it look effortless, man.]

After exiting from the portal, "Vanishing Wilds," he spoke just as he sat in the cab.

The driver, like a clock work, just nodded and pressed forward.

"Okay, guys, you have few minutes again. I will be taking any questions you have." Reyansh spoke as he relaxed himself in the back of the speeding cab.

Guild Master office, Victory Guild Headquarter

While StarWalker was answering the questions in his stream, here, Jai had found the answer to his plan of ’How to force Reyansh to join his guild?’

Jai was seated in his chair, giving off a domineering aura while a man in suit stood beside him. In front his table, two meek looking young boys were standing with their head bowed.

"So, you both are recently awakened new recruits?" Jai asked, though he knew the answer already.

"Yes, Guildmaster," both spoke in unison.

"Do you know your task and understand its value?" he asked in a firm tone.

"Good, make sure that kidnapping look like a normal kidnapping. Avoid the eyes and if you can’t, don’t use mana openly." He reminded.

"If you successfully kidnap her, I will promote your channels myself and even support you guys personally. Aryan will message you when she leaves the school," he added.

"Now, go make me proud," he ordered.

"Yes, Guildmaster," Both repeated in unison and left the office with hopeful smile.

"Did you really think this will work, Boss?" the man standing beside Jai, his secretary asked.

"Of course, when local authorities won’t be able to find his sister. I would ’accidentally’ meet him and promise to help him after introducing myself." Jai answered with a smirk.

"This is the best, why force someone to join? Instead, make them so indebted that they want to payback in anyway." He added, his grin becoming wider.

"My only worry is that he is worth all the hassle I am going through," a cruel glint flashed in his eyes as he spoke.

"And are you really going to help those newbies," the secretary looked at him questioningly.

"Well, I will be ’forced’ to kill the kidnappers, trying to save his sister," Jai spoke nonchalantly as he set something in motion which would have repercussions he wasn’t ready for.
