Chapter 59: 059 | Gratitude

Reyansh walked through the corridor, undecided. At the moment, he just wanted to memorize their face before he made sure they were no longer recognizable.

He saw a nurse crossing the hallway, "Hello, Sister, there were two men from a van accident admitted here. I forgot to ask the room number at counter below, can you help me in the matter?" He asked.

The nurse looked at Reyansh for a moment then answered, "I don’t know for exact but there are new patient on floor above, you can ask when you enter the floor."

"Thank you, sister," he walked forward.

On the next floor, he saw a tiny counter, he stepped forward, "Hi, there were two man from Van accident, I am here to see them. What’s their room number?" he questioned.

The attendant on the counter flipped few pages then answered, "Room 305, go straight then left."

"Thanks."

Reyansh walked forward slowly, he still hadn’t decided on his course of action beside they needed to die. He was just struggling with ideas to make sure they feel hell till they are alive.

He quietly pushed the door open and entered. He saw two bed, adjacent to each other. Their body bruised and he could even sense few broken bone, but he also sensed he wasn’t alone in the room.

He turned to see a half scared nurse, standing up from her seat.

"Who are you?" she asked, trying to remain alert, Reyansh noticed it all.

"I am brother of the girl these scum tried to kidnap." He spoke truth this time.

She consciously backed away, fear visible on her face.

"Don’t worry I am not here to kill them." He spoke as he kept his eyes on both the men.

’At least not yet,’ he stated inwardly.

He noticed the bruise his sister had given them, one had broken ribs, making his breathing ragged. Other had a deep mark of belt on his neck, seat belt, he identified immediately.

’She fought smartly, even in that cramped van and threatening situation.’ He concluded from his observations.

A smile formed on his face, something he hadn’t expected before seeing their face.

However, nurse on the side was having a crisis of her lifetime, watching Reyansh smile. She was becoming more and more convinced, these two were surely going to die.

At that moment, Reyansh finally decided, he won’t give them easy death. He wanted fear etched into their souls, so even when they die, they should tremble.

This was something he couldn’t do here, among many reasons, one was that his sister was here. He didn’t wanted her to get habitual to the excessive violence.

He looked at the nurse again, this time she literally jumped back.

"Chill, I have a proposition for you," he addressed her.

Sensing the willingness of Reyansh, she relaxed slightly.

"What kind of proposal?" she asked.

"I want you to inform me the moment they are being discharged," he stated.

The nurse remain quiet for a second then answered, "I am sorry, that is against the rules, I cannot..."

He interrupted her midway, "1 Million Credits."

"But I don’t want to go against the rules of hospital, my job..."

"10 Million Credits."

"It’s not about money..."

"100 Million Credits."

She became quiet, her hands quivering probably by the overwhelming amount, though Reyansh still noticed a flicker of defiance in her.

"Look they are scumbags and you have do nothing beside notifying me. They will get what’s coming to them one way or another but this way you will getting something in return for doing almost nothing." He persuaded.

The nurse looked at him then two of them, she exhaled then whispered, "Okay, but 1 Million is more than enough."

Reyansh nodded at her, opened his system panel and transferred 2 Million credits.

Her eyes widened at the amount for a moment, "I only said 1 Million."

"The extra is for your honesty. Put your number here," Reyansh replied, handing her the phone.

She saved her number and called her cell from his phone for his number. Reyansh turned around, giving a last glance at both of them before leaving.

However, just as he was about to pull the door handle, nurse called out, "Wait."

He turned around as nurse stepped forward.

"I don’t know if you know about her or not but you should give your thanks to the girl who brought your sister here. I heard she is the one who brought your sister to the hospital and apprehended those two." She shared.

Reyansh brow raised, this was the first time he was hearing about any girl.

"Where is she?" he asked.

"She is probably in the waiting hall, straight from here then first right. She was wearing purple dress." She explained.

"Okay, I will be waiting for your call." Reyansh said as he exited the room.

As he walked towards the waiting hall to meet this mysterious girl, he started thinking of his steps ahead.

’This is the situation where I need overwhelming strength, so I guess should copy as many talents as possible.’ He decided.

’But I need to find an empty room first.’

Just as entered the hall, his eyes fell upon a girl in purple gown, almost same age as his, sitting quietly and looking through her phone.

He walked towards her and stood at slight distance from her, she still remained focused on her phone.

"Hmm...hello, thank you for saving and helping my sister," he spoke softly.

She was startled for a second, "Ohh...sorry I was busy. Are you her brother?" she stood up, fidgeting her hand.

"Yes."

"How is she now?"

"She had been fed a potion, she would wake up soon."

"Well, that’s great news and please your sister is very brave, she practically saved herself. I was just there in the end." She stated, trying to appear modest.

A smile formed on his face after hearing praise of her sister from someone else.

"Yes, that she is but still your help was very valuable. I am indebted to you for helping her in time of need. So if I can help you in anyway, please don’t shy."

"No...no, you are being too generous. The moment I saw her crawl out of the van, bloodied, then the make and model of the van."

"I understood that she needed a helping hand, so I just did my duty, nothing more, nothing less." She explained.

"But the fact remain that you helped, by the way why are you sitting here?" he asked.

"I was told that someone from Hunter’s council would come here to take my statement, so I was waiting." She explained.

"Oh, you don’t need to worry about that, I got that covered. You can go home if you have nothing else but please tell me if I can help you in any way." He insisted.

"No, I helped, that was my duty as a human being" she turned around ready to leave.

Reyansh noticed in her eyes that she wanted to say something but was hesitant. He did thought of giving her money too but that seemed too shallow. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

She saved his sister life, no amount of money would be enough so he decided against money unless she specifically asked for it.

As she took a step, she stopped then turned back.

"Actually, there is something, I didn’t wanted to say but I have channel where instead of clearing dungeons, I analyze and react to fights of others."

"My channel is very new, so if you could subscribe, it would be helpful. The channel name is Vicky’s underscore POV. If you can subscribe to my channel, that would be enough." She whispered.

"Okay, consider it done." Reyansh nodded with a smile.

She quickly turned and left the waiting hall. Just as she left, Reyansh’s demeanour changed back to that of cold and calculative person.

’Now that everything else is out of the way, let’s copy some talents.’
