Cultivation: I Have a Golden Talisman
Chapter 131 - 125: Divine Temple, Strange Stone, Silk Book
A dazzlingly blue sky met his eyes.
Puffy clouds drifted across the vast and boundless expanse of the clear, azure sky.
Below, towering mountain ranges rose and fell in an endless chain. A great river, like a jade belt, snaked its way through the mountains and plains.
The magnificent landscape teemed with birds and beasts, vibrant with life.
Gazing down upon the land filled Fang Cheng with a sense of peace, but strangely, this world was devoid of Spiritual Qi.
Suddenly, he sensed something was amiss. He turned to look, but the vortex behind him had already vanished.
He frowned slightly and, out of habit, activated a Concealing Breath Talisman to conceal his presence before flying down.
This space was far larger than Fang Cheng had anticipated. He flew for hundreds of li without seeing any end to it and was secretly astonished at the resources of the ancient sects.
Although the land was full of birds and beasts, they were all ordinary creatures and posed no threat, as there was no Spiritual Qi.
After another hundred li, he saw a magnificent, golden hall perched atop a mountain. It was built in a grand, ancient style, with imposing stone pillars before its entrance, looking just like a Divine Temple.
Fang Cheng quietly descended from his Escape Light. The great hall had no doors. Inside, enshrined on a platform, stood a ten-foot-tall armored Divine General, radiating a heroic aura.
The Divine General was depicted as a fierce warrior. Tall and powerful, it was as imposing as a mountain. Its magnificent armor was covered in profound Spirit Patterns that held a faint, inner golden glow.
The Divine General held a Vajra Pestle. With its hands clasped, the pestle rested in the crook of its elbows. It looked fierce and valiant, yet had the face of a child, and was adorned with a trailing red ribbon.
He walked into the Divine Hall and glanced around. The interior walls were covered with murals, and the beams above were exquisitely carved with dragons and phoenixes.
’There’s no rhyme or reason to this place. How am I supposed to find the Celestial Dew?’
Fang Cheng wondered as he looked at the Divine General.
He had a faint feeling that the Profound Mechanism of this space was hidden somewhere within this Divine Temple.
At this thought, he released his Divine Sense to gently probe the Divine Statue, intending to check for any internal abnormalities.
Suddenly!
The fearsome Divine General stirred and actually came to life.
The Divine Statue’s eyes flashed open as it scanned its surroundings. Then, it leaped directly off its pedestal and rushed out of the hall, Vajra Pestle in hand.
Fang Cheng followed the Divine Statue and discovered that its aura was strange; it seemed to be powered entirely by the profound Spirit Patterns on its armor.
Its Spiritual Pressure was roughly equivalent to that of a Late-stage Sensing Cultivator.
Fang Cheng discreetly unleashed his Li Hen Demon Light, sending it coiling toward the Divine Statue.
The Divine Statue let out a low roar. Sensing the approaching Demonic Light, it swung its Vajra Pestle and unleashed a fierce golden radiance in an attempt to block the attack.
The flame-black Li Hen Demon Light seemed illusory. It drifted effortlessly past the statue’s attack and landed upon it.
The next moment.
Raging black flames erupted on the Divine Statue, and the Spirit Patterns on its armor began to crumble and fade away.
Enraged, the Divine Statue swung its Vajra Pestle frantically, searching for its opponent, but its aura grew progressively weaker.
A moment later, its body abruptly disintegrated. A foot-long, oval stone was left floating motionless in the air.
This strange stone had a smooth surface and contained a divine light that made it glow brilliantly.
Fang Cheng moved closer to inspect it. Surprisingly, even with his Divine Sense, he couldn’t discern anything unusual about it.
He deactivated the Concealing Breath Talisman, revealing himself. He reached out, caught the strange stone, and channeled a stream of Magical Power into it.
The strange stone immediately flared with brilliant light. Stone fragments flaked off with a RUSTLING sound, and a Silk Book dropped out from within.
Fang Cheng picked up the Silk Book. When he unrolled it, he saw the diagram of a Talisman, surrounded by detailed explanations written in minuscule characters.
’This is the method for creating a Talisman... a Thunder Light Talisman?’
After a moment of thought, he understood the mechanism behind the Myriad Phenomena Immortal Sect’s Ruined Tower Space.
’So this is how it screens for successors...’
’The inheritance of the Myriad Phenomena Immortal Sect and the Celestial Dew must be hidden inside these strange stones!’
Fang Cheng flew back into the sky to search. Before long, he found another Divine Hall a hundred li away.
The Divine Statue inside was identical to the last one. As soon as Fang Cheng’s Divine Sense swept over it, it came to life.
This time, the Divine Statue saw Fang Cheng. With a great roar, it charged at him. First, the red ribbon on its back shot out, attempting to bind him.
Then, the statue raised its Vajra Pestle and brought it smashing down on Fang Cheng’s head.
Fang Cheng dodged out of the way.
He then activated his Cold Wave Radiance Sword. With a flicker of sword light, he landed dozens of strikes on the Divine Statue in an instant, shattering it into a pile of rubble.
A strange stone, similar to the one before, slowly floated up and hung motionlessly in the air.
Fang Cheng walked over and repeated the process, channeling Magical Power into the stone. It dissolved, and just as he’d expected, another Silk Book fell out.
This Silk Book contained the refining method for a Bell Spiritual Artifact, complete with detailed written explanations.
Fang Cheng put away the Silk Book and continued his search for Divine Temples.
...
BOOM...
Wielding a Vajra Pestle, Fang Cheng shattered the Divine Statue before him with a single blow and expertly collected the strange stone.
The Ruined Tower Space contained no Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, and his search had consumed a significant amount of his power.
While he could recover this energy by meditating and absorbing Spirit Stones, the process was time-consuming.
So, he had changed his strategy. He now snatched the Vajra Pestle directly from the Divine Statue’s hands and used it to smash the statue to pieces in close combat. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
This was the seventh Divine Statue he had destroyed.
The strange stones from the first six statues had all contained methods for creating Talismans or refining Magical Artifacts; one even held a Pill Formula.
Looking at the strange stone before him, Fang Cheng prayed internally, ’Celestial Dew, Celestial Dew, show yourself!’
Only then did he channel his Magical Power into it!
As stone fragments RUSTLED to the ground, an incredibly exotic fragrance wafted into the air.
There, in the center of the strange stone, a single drop of Seven-Colored Jade Dew spun, emitting a hazy, dream-like halo.
His wish came true!
A joyful expression appeared on Fang Cheng’s face. He quickly took a Jade Bottle from his storage bag and carefully caught the drop of Celestial Dew, securing it inside!
