Demi-human Girls Completion Manual
Chapter 1337 - 23: Moli
"Fisher, she’s just ahead..."
After Mier came to deliver the message, Fisher followed her to another room within the Prayer Tower. There were no professional demi-human doctors within the Prayer Tower, and given Ingrid’s sensitive identity, Moli was the one directly providing her treatment.
"According to Lady Moli, that human lady’s body is no longer in serious trouble, but her soul has suffered some impact. The cause is unknown, but it might be related to those... demons?"
Mier hadn’t been to the previous coastline and naturally had no idea about the specifics of the situation earlier, so she could only repeat Moli’s exact words to Fisher.
Fisher nodded slightly without responding, as perhaps Ingrid’s soul shock was related to him, but the specific situation would only be clear once he saw her in person.
Emhardt stood on his shoulder, watching intently and nervously toward the front, cautiously scrutinizing everyone around, even suspecting Mier of being Helair in disguise. Every time he saw someone, he would whisper to Fisher,
"Look, Fisher, doesn’t that person look like Paimon? Huh, that one looks a bit like..."
"..."
Fisher quickly arrived at the doorway of Ingrid’s room. He pushed the door open, revealing a sunlit but not spacious room inside. The room was quite simple, with only a single bed in the center, where Ingrid lay, pale-faced and in pain.
As the door opened, Ingrid immediately sat up reactively, covering half of her face with the blanket and trembling all over as she looked toward Fisher and his companions at the doorway,
"Un...uncle?"
Ingrid hesitated for a moment before tentatively calling Fisher’s name, and Fisher nodded in return, responding with a blank expression as Emhardt cautiously observed from beside him,
"Not calling me hubby anymore?"
Hearing this, her face instantly turned a shade of white and pink. She pouted, glanced at Fisher, and grumbled,
"Uncle, you know I was coerced... Though you do look quite nice, very powerful, and your demeanor is good, you’re too inhuman, not my type... And it just feels like being with you comes with a lot of trouble... Those two demi-humans from before scared me to death; they practically wanted to stab me, you know?!"
Well, you’ve certainly been picky.
Fisher smiled slightly and didn’t continue the conversation, but following his tease, Ingrid seemed to be in a somewhat better state than before, less detached.
Seeing her state improve, Fisher straightforwardly got to the point,
"Earlier, you were captured by Nali’s army after we separated, is that right? Did you see the ’Barbatos’ General?"
"Yes! Uncle, I saw him... And not just that General, there was another... Chief of Staff? Named... Agares... They were all terrifying... They had those three guys bring me to the Dragon Court, saying they wanted to film something, but it was actually to deliver a message to you..."
"Besides those two, were there any other ’people’ who scared you?"
"Apart from those two... I think there was a Great Imperial Court Official called Dianne. I’m not sure if she’s with Nali... But it seems like... that Court Official wasn’t scary at all, and seemed unaware of the specifics here, so..."
Still uncertain about the Court Official’s identity...
Even if he excluded that Court Official for now, Fisher’s previous analysis was still correct. Conservatively estimating, he still had to face two Eighteenth Rank Demon Lords.
"I understand... So, why are you so scared now? What did you see?"
"I saw! I saw!"
At the mention of this, Ingrid’s little face turned pale. She shook her head frantically, hurriedly addressing Fisher,
"You... those two guys that came with me aren’t dead yet... They have some kind of... Duke’s Blessing, and they’ve become strange, even with their heads cut off... I don’t know where they’ve escaped to; they look just like a mess of flesh and blood... Ah, and there’s more! There’s more!"
Recalling, Ingrid suddenly seemed to remember something, telling Fisher,
"Just now, I had the... Dragon-man talk to you about it! When that ritual started, I saw a huge fire pillar... But that fire pillar was locked up. Originally, the ritual was supposed to directly summon that terrifying... Agares, but for some reason, a very strange blonde woman swapped it. I saw her shadow near the fire pillar... She said her name is ’Paimon’ and she has something to say to Fisher."
"Paimon! Fisher, quickly close your ears!! Don’t let yourself be bewitched by her, or you’ll surely be at her mercy! Quick, everyone close your ears!"
Emhardt quickly flew onto Fisher’s head, opening his book like earmuffs trying to cover Fisher’s ears. However, due to the book’s structure, he couldn’t manage it no matter what, and Fisher, speechlessly, took him down, clearly ignoring his advice.
He simply looked over at Ingrid, paused for a moment before continuing to ask,
"What did she... say to you?"
Ingrid swallowed hard and then nervously spoke to Fisher,
