Demi-human Girls Completion Manual
Chapter 1359 - 29: Life Completion Manual (Part 2)_2
Although the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual bestowed Fisher with a stronger physique, Fisher’s appearance consistently retained the semblance of a human. Such species living beneath the "Mountain Foot" are theoretically not designed for higher ranks, thus even though Fisher’s rank is theoretically high, he has not realized the extremes signified by this rank.
It’s like a carriage that’s as luxurious as it can be, but is pulled by an old mule, no matter how beautiful, it cannot run fast.
To truly unleash the strength befitting his Life Rank, he must inevitably transform like Erwin and the poets’ mountain climber.
His eyes continued to read forward, and his strong thirst for knowledge made him impatiently flip to the next few poems.
The upcoming poem "Left Hand" tells a very intriguing story about a fitness genius proud of his conspicuously attractive muscles, yet due to a congenital defect, his left bicep is much smaller than the right one, and it greatly bothers him.
Thus, he began to train his left hand day after day, wanting it to become as muscular as the right one.
Until one day, the well-trained left hand gained consciousness and started questioning its owner’s excessive approach to body training.
This fitness genius had a fierce debate with his heavily developed left hand, from topics related to fitness initially to later ones about history, science, and profound philosophy...
The left hand was sluggish at first, unable to retort whatever the fitness genius said; it could only follow his commands to start training.
However, as it grew more and more developed, even more than humans, now comparable to steel, akin to the sun, the thinking of the left hand became deeper, gradually rendering the owner speechless, even starting to find life meaningless, until at last, under the left hand’s instigation, he decided to commit suicide by gunshot.
After the fitness genius’s death, his still-living left hand continued to clamor that his method of suicide was wrong and not the optimal solution.
Thus ended an absurd long poem, leaving an aftertaste akin to a black hole.
The third poem "Daughter" also narrates a story about a mother who held great expectations for her daughter, aspiring for her daughter to become excellent and, hence, tirelessly instilled knowledge upon her.
Accompanied by prolonged learning, her daughter too became increasingly excellent, yet she remained unsatisfied.
She felt her daughter wasn’t beautiful enough, her eyes weren’t good, didn’t grow tall enough, couldn’t jump far enough, couldn’t run fast enough...
She didn’t even know how she could give birth to such an embarrassing daughter who, apart from a fairly smart mind, wasn’t good at anything else.
Thus, she replaced her daughter’s face with her own, gave her eagle’s eyes, a giraffe’s neck, kangaroo’s legs, and cheetah’s hind limbs...
With that, such a perfect daughter was born.
Countless indescribable thoughts accompanied the long poem entering Fisher’s mind, but he did not manage to decipher their specific meanings as he impatiently flipped to the next poem. However, instead of the last poem, what entered his sight were extensive annotations and thoughts from Erwin.
"I have completely digested and applied all previous knowledge and have reached the end of the second mountain range, but what perplexes me is that the Completion Manual, ostensibly titled ’Life,’ is preventing me from taking strides in matters concerning the level of life. I have never been able to take a step further, unable to bribe the Angel to ultimately reach the mythic mountain peak.
"The so-called ’treasure’ in the poem, what exactly does it refer to? Without the treasure, I cannot read the whole content of the Completion Manual; without the treasure, I cannot enter the Mythical Rank, cannot find the method to climb the mythical mountain peak."
This was the beginning, seemingly having written out all of Erwin’s doubts and confusion.
Below this line of text, written a significant distance away, was another line of her recorded words,
"Perhaps living creatures who have already entered the Mythical Rank can help resolve the dilemma of my thinking. The girl called ’Cardinal of Destiny’ mentioned before, the only remaining mythical species in the world are the demon species sealed in the abyss by the Mother Goddess. I should seek the location of the Demon Abyss to study the essence of these demons to discover the answer."
...
Another blank segment, and Erwin wrote again,
"I temporarily resided in the cradle of dreams of demons in the abyss, where dwelling Demon Servants and Little Demons pose no threat to me. During this period, I sampled the main body of a Demon God sleeping in the Demon God Pillar 27 times, researching 130 times. The power of this demon seems to resonate with the Completion Manual in my hand, allowing me to quickly locate her sleeping form. I was very curious about this, so I began the research on this Demon God named ’Agares.’ Through research, I seemed to discover some hint of the so-called ’treasure’..."
...
"When I decided to proceed with the final step, deciding to abandon sampling and directly dissect Agares’s form, the research took a turn. Her long-dormant consciousness began to awaken and observed that I was researching her and pilfering portions of her physical power. Even though she was sealed, her fury still made the abyss uninhabitable. I had to abandon further research and leave the abyss. Nonetheless, she indeed offered me interesting samples and knowledge, further unveiling the crucial key to entering the Mythical Rank, which perhaps could be used to retrospectively deduce the meaning of treasure."
