Demon's Lust: making a harem with lust system
Chapter 109: One night
Nothing had remained from the plains and green lands of that morning; the surface of the ground had burned from many explosions, and in the middle a massive hole existed.
Ray, with his hands behind his head, lay on the ground; there was no wind, and with so little light pollution, thousands of stars lit the sky.
Having nothing to do, he had changed his form back to his human form, keeping it needed constant magic use; however, it helped him relax his mind more, plus his mind was focused on solving his biggest problem.
On the other two sides of the festival, two buildings floated in the sky, each belonging to one of the immortals. Their names were Pocket Buildings, and in Mars Ray had heard that they were pretty common, and with them going into the system, having one of them could help a lot.
Apparently between themselves they had a fight too because Ray hadn’t seen them together after the first round ended; Scarlet just placed a bomb inside of his body, and all of them went on their own ways.
"You seem too relaxed with someone in your position."
Ray recognized the voice, yet he didn’t mind looking at her; with his eyes still locked on the sky, he replied, "Got nothing better to do."
The footsteps got closer as she looked up in the sky to find what got his attention so much. "Was she your lover?"
"Got nothing to do with you." Was the first thing that came to his mind, but he decided to stay civil, "No, just an old debt."
"You are a weird blood angel."
Ray turned to face her, standing close to her; her choice in dress was definitely something, a black robe that she didn’t intend to fully wear, leaving out her stomach and most of her chest for him to see. "You can call me Ray."
Her white eyes moved down to face him; his eyes had turned into two pure orbs of black chaos with magic moving through them constantly. "Tell me, are you scared of me?"
"Why should I be scared of you? You are not going to kill me; we both know that, and if we fight and you kill me, that just means I’m not strong enough."
Feeling his honesty, Scarlet sat on the ground next to him. "Just the name of immortals is enough for people to piss their pants; even on Mars that military is trained to be around us. They piss themselves from our smallest changes, and here you are playing with two dangerous immortals like they are chess pieces in your game."
"Whatever." The silence took over them for a few minutes before Ray asked, "Wanna play a game?"
"Yeah."
"I will ask a question, and you have to tell the truth, and then it will be your turn to ask." Ray said casually like she didn’t have access to the most secret information. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Scarlet giggled, "It’s a dangerous game, but it wouldn’t hurt anyone. So begin."
Her expectations were that Ray ask something about their powers or their future plans, but the question was just a simple one: "How is food on Mars?"
"Really?" A smile appeared on her lips. "It can’t be compared to Earth, but everything is almost spicy and tasteless."
Ray’s expression didn’t change. "Not bad, your turn."
Her eyes narrowed on his face, ready to recognize the smallest changes, she said with a calm tone, "Do you think you can survive?"
"No."
"If there was a chance for you to survive, would you still save her?"
Ray had thought about that scenario many times; no matter what, if Jade had stayed there, her life would have been at great risk. "I don’t know..."
As well as Ray hiding his feelings, Scarlet felt sadness rise in his face and eyes. "Your turn..."
"Why did you target Jade?" The question irritated Ray from the beginning; they didn’t know about time travel or the fact that Jade had killed Scarlet, yet they had gone after her.
Scarlet lay on the ground too as she started to explain: "Fereya told us that she can awaken a power that kills an immortal like that artifact, so I should kill her before she reaches her immortal barrier."
This was news to Ray too, after his battle he came to acknowledge how strong immortals truly were, and at that time Jade was no where near the level of Scarlet from 200 years later.
"Why did you want to kill us so much?"
It was time for Ray to laugh, "You should knew it better than anyone, facing with an enemy that is the pinnacle of power and having the chance to kill
She had felt the same feeling in battle many times too. "Fair enough."
"How many races of aliens have you seen?"
Their game continued with them changing the topic to their daily lives and how Ray handled all the business and his company, while Scarlet talked about how Mars was from her perspective, adding some details that Ray had never read in books about the planet.
At some point they stopped looking at the vast sky above and looked at each other while talking; both enjoyed the other’s company more than they liked to confess.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ray asked the woman with a smirk on his face.
Scarlet said with a seductive manner, "My eyes can change the gravity of anything I can see. I really want to crush you right now..."
"Well, I’m not against dying by the hands of a beauty like you." With eyes, he challenged her, "Your turn."
"Do you want to kiss me?"
Instead of words, he answered with his hand pulling her closer; the kiss was anything but gentle. Their lips met with both of them hungry for being touched. Scarlet moved her body on top of him, not letting him break the kiss as she sat on her stomach.
Ray’s hands started to roam around her body, instead of talking he talked through his mind, "And the kiss is not the only thing."
