Dimensional Hotel
Chapter 686 - 685: Arrival
Deep in the distant control zone of the Hidden Monastery, a distorted light curtain suddenly appeared in the dark space, the curtain shimmering like waves, and then countless large and small Space Rifts radiated out, tearing a small area of space-time—a massive black and red warship "fell" into the material universe from the shattered warped space, then accelerated toward the thriving home planet, the "Saint Realm" nearby.
The High-level Priest standing in the Dark Star cruiser Control Hall exhaled deeply, the system alarm sound gradually calming at his ears, sweat slightly soaking his robe, yet a joy of fulfilling a mission gradually rose in his heart.
Another white-robed priest beside him exhaled deeply, thankfully sighing: "The Hyperlight Core is stabilizing, praise the Saints—I almost thought we were lost in Super Space."
"Confirm the condition of the containment capsule," another voice sounded.
"The containment capsule is normal. The Force Field Box is still running—the ’Angel Catalyst’ inside has finally quieted down."
"I didn’t expect it would interfere so much with the engine... Even though it’s completely isolated from the surroundings, it somehow managed to unknowingly divert our course..."
"This is probably the power of the Angel Catalyst—truly high-activity catalysts should be like this."
"Is it so?"
"Without a doubt, the real deal has a strong pull..."
Listening to the conversation behind him, the High-level Priest, clad in a white robe with gold trim, showed a faint smile on his face.
During the transport of the Angel Catalyst from the Border Star Gate back to the home planet, the spaceship encountered a series of large and small accidents in the Super Space state—from picking up some strange noises in the antenna system to dangerous deviations and "field oscillations" in the hyper-light speed engine, the journey was full of peril.
Yet these large and small accidents instead settled everyone’s minds on the ship.
Because it was undoubtedly due to the stone in the containment cabin—its powerful force continuously attempted to breach containment, even successfully interfering with the ship’s navigation system in the latter half of the voyage.
This proves the item is genuine, dispelling everyone’s last trace of doubt.
If the journey were peaceful without any incidents, they would truly be skeptical, but now... it’s undeniable the Angel Catalyst is indeed highly active, and its pull is strong.
"Entering home planet identification circle, receiving Orbital Defense Star Fortress communication."
The High-level Priest nodded: "Connect."
In the center of the hall, above the large communication platform, a holographic projection of the home planet defense Commander emerged, the officer in a dark gold short robe slightly nodding in the image: "This is Star Fortress ’Mountain Rock,’ report your status."
"This is the ’Philosopher’s Stone’ cruiser, ship identification code and mission encryption code have been sent, our ship was ordered to return the ’catalyst’ from the border, now successfully back."
Moments later, a smile appeared on the officer’s face in the holographic projection: "Welcome back, comrade—the founding day has arrived, glory to us."
"Glory to us—"
...
In the depths of the Supreme Hall in the Saint Realm, a golden-haired man in a white and gold robe, surrounded by soft light, leaned against the armrest of a seat, one hand supporting his forehead, seemingly in a light sleep, while two indistinct, light-etched Living Saints stood silently beside him, their powerful spiritual energy resonating naturally, creating a faint, wind chime-like pleasant sound softly echoing in the lavish hall.
Suddenly, the Holy on the seat opened his eyes.
He looked up to the sky—the message had not yet returned from the Space Station to the surface, but his gaze seemed to penetrate the layered palace dome, through the heavy atmosphere, directly fixating on the Dark Star cruiser that was adjusting its course to enter the atmosphere.
"They have returned," the golden-haired man whispered, "Did you hear that? The door... it is resonating and cheering with the catalyst in space, the true key has finally reached its destined place."
The two Living Saints slightly bowed, the pleasant resonance of spiritual energy echoing in the air.
"The Gate of Eden has begun to spontaneously grow; this will be its peak of activity—in the coming time, ensure the guarding of the Holy Furnace and Rift Generator," the golden-haired man rose from the seat, stepped down the stairs, "But now... we must first go to welcome the ’key’.
The two Living Saints silently followed behind the Holy, passing through the hall and corridors, crossing the long bridge suspended atop the mountains outside the palace—soon more priests emerged from the hall, having just received the message from the Space Station, they gathered spontaneously, unanimously following behind the Holy.
This procession grew larger, yet maintained a certain sacred silence, only the sound of footsteps and the rustling of robes echoed periodically on the mountain bridge.
The Holy slightly turned back, glanced at the followers behind him.
Some are young, some are old; there are those who followed him from the beginning, and those who have only recently ascended the ranks—but he can name every single one.
Those who first followed him to this planet, now only a few remain.
The Holy One exhaled gently and waved his hand.
The Barrier enveloping the Holy Temple District vanished silently; the mountain wind howled across the long bridge, the cold wind stirred the priests’ robes, and in the sudden chill, many instinctively tightened their clothes. Some looked up at the Holy One in surprise and confusion, only to see a gentle smile.
"Keep walking," the blond man said softly, his voice echoing across the mountains, "just like on the day we first came to this cold and cursed planet—the day for the second foundation has arrived, my fellowmen, keep walking."
So the procession continued to move forward on the long bridge, heading towards the direction of the Starship platform.
Between the palace walls of various heights, among countless magnificent sculptures and beautiful pillars, servants wearing Mind Shackles humbly bowed their heads, trembling as they paid tribute to the ’masters’ walking on the long bridge; Brass Knights stood silently in the wind, their ceremonial capes fluttering in the breeze, while the Artificial Saintesses of the Commanding Knight Order hid in the shadows of the palace, smiling as they watched the priests on the long bridge.
Cold winds blew over the high walls, over the hollow armor of the knights and the splendid rooftops, wailing like a grand yet twisted cheer.
And across the entire planet, invisible forces were swelling, stirring; throughout the Global Saint Realm, the order of time and space had already begun to warp...
Near the distant Border Star Gate, the Otherworld Inn was hiding inside a Gravity Fault, the ship’s own Concealing Force Field and the local gravity environment jointly distorting the distant starlight. Ensuring that no one would perceive the presence of this colossal object.
Yu Sheng and his group had been in this ’Hiding Place’ for several days now, and the waiting time had exceeded initial expectations.
Erin had been overwhelmingly bored for two days—not that she had nothing to do, since she had six mass-produced bodies and had four spare bodies at home, with Yu Sheng able to open doors letting her wander off to different places; the little puppet had a very fulfilling daily life, but even fulfillment couldn’t curb the anxiety brought by ’waiting.’
In the ship’s resting area, after rolling around for the sixth time today, Erin climbed onto Yu Sheng’s shoulder again: "Hey! Yu Sheng! Haven’t you felt it yet? Has that ship arrived or not? Hopefully those cargo cultists haven’t died halfway..."
Yu Sheng waved his hand quickly upon hearing: "Can your crow mouth make some good wishes!"
"I’m not going to lie, it’s the first time in my life that I hope a bunch of cultists can get home safely all the way... Too bad I’m under the banner of the Omen Goddess, saying good things probably won’t work," Erin leapt off Yu Sheng’s shoulder into Hu Li’s pile of tails, poking her head outside and wobbly, "Hey, Yu Sheng, honestly, could it be you put too much effort into that ’stone’? I remember you put a ton of serious effort into it to make that stone look real..."
Listening to the constant chatter from the little puppet, Yu Sheng was somewhat doubtful too: "Damn, hopefully those unlucky ones didn’t really kneel in reality..."
Erin fell out of Hu Li’s tails, then awkwardly scrambled to her feet, wide-eyed: "No! I was just saying, if it’s true, it’s gonna be a huge deal... Did you really overdo it?"
Yu Sheng rubbed his chin: "Shouldn’t be, I was being cautious, at most they’ll only experience some bumps along the way..."
He suddenly stopped.
Erin, about to keep chattering, saw Yu Sheng’s reaction and immediately tensed up: "Ah? Did they really kneel in reality?" 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"No, wait, there seems to be a change," Yu Sheng quickly gestured to the little one to remain quiet, while calming his mind to sense the connection from the bloodline far away—both on the Angel Catalyst and the Dark Star Cruiser, he’d left a ’Blood Trace,’ "That ship has stopped... the relative positions of the two Blood Traces are changing... the ’catalyst’ is moving, someone is collecting the goods!"
Luna, who was lost in thought near a pillar, suddenly turned her head: "They’ve arrived, the Saint Realm."
"Great! They’ve finally arrived!" Erin suddenly jumped up, grabbing Yu Sheng’s pants and began climbing up, "Not wasting our wait—open the door, open it, I’m going to overpower everyone!"
"Don’t rush, don’t rush, I have to sense the situation around that drop of blood in the hangar first," Yu Sheng swiftly replied while supporting the little puppet to prevent her from falling halfway, "Don’t push open the door and face a whole security team right there, we’re on a serious infiltration mission..."
Saying this, he focused his perception and confirmed that there were no other life reactions around that drop of Blood Trace, then cautiously grabbed at the air like a thief—pushing open a small door that Erin struggled to enter.
"Will there be surveillance in the hangar?" Erin buzzed beside Yu Sheng’s head, "Maybe opening a small door could’ve been spotted..."
"...That makes sense," Yu Sheng thought for a moment, then directly waved his hand, "Alright, plan B, let’s prepare to charge."
Erin: "You just said we’re on a serious infiltration mission—"
Halfway through the puppet’s shout, Yu Sheng suddenly pulled open an illusory big door.
The scene opposite the door came into view, quieting Erin at once.
Yu Sheng stared somewhat dazedly at the wild alien planet opposite the door: "...Is this the ’Saint Realm’?"
