Lin Yun knocked Guan Renjie unconscious with a single blow. Instantly, the surrounding Guan Family guards were terrified. It seemed they had only just remembered that the young man before them was the only son of Lin Xiaotian, one of the three Grand Generals of Yanhuang Country. A tiger doesn’t father a dog.

"Young Master Lin, we were wrong! We were blind! We..." Soon enough, the first Guan Family guard dropped to his knees, begging Lin Yun for forgiveness.

"Good. All that fighting has made me hungry. Go kill a Demon Beast and roast it. After that, bring Lu Tao and Lu Bingning to me."

"Right, right away! We’ll get right on it, Young Master Lin. Please wait a moment."

"Oh, and one more thing. Wake Guan Renjie up. I have some questions for him," Lin Yun added, pointing at the unconscious man.

In their eyes, Lin Yun was now a God of Slaughter. Hearing his commands, they sprang into action. Two went to find the siblings, Lu Bingning and Lu Tao; one stayed behind to tend to Guan Renjie’s wounds; and the rest went to hunt a Demon Beast.

After being fed a Healing Medicine and having the wound on his head bandaged, Guan Renjie soon came to. But now, when he looked at Lin Yun, his eyes held nothing but fear.

Seeing Guan Renjie’s timid demeanor, Lin Yun smiled to himself. ’This Guan Renjie is really spineless. He and Lu Tao are two peas in a pod, every inch the spoiled brats.’

"Come here," he said calmly to Guan Renjie.

After a long hesitation, Guan Renjie cautiously approached Lin Yun, looking extremely nervous.

Seeing him like this, Lin Yun gave a resigned smile, then deliberately hardened his expression. "You’re afraid of me?"

Guan Renjie remained silent, which was a clear admission. Having been single-handedly defeated by Lin Yun, he had given up any ideas of crossing him. ’He’s a Demon Fiend. You can’t judge him by normal standards, especially not his combat prowess.’

"Guan Renjie, you tried to kill me today. How should I repay you for that?" A smile played on Lin Yun’s lips as he asked in a mild tone.

The moment Lin Yun spoke, Guan Renjie jolted, his eyes filling with deep fear. ’He’s going to kill me! He’s really going to kill me! We’re in the Yunlu Mountain Range; he could easily dispose of my body without a trace.’

"You can’t kill me," Guan Renjie finally managed to choke out after a long pause.

"Why not? So, you can try to kill me, but I can’t kill you?"

"I... I..." Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Guan Renjie stammered, unable to find a reason to persuade him. After struggling for a moment, he finally went for broke and yelled.

"Lin Yun, we grew up together! When we were kids, we even watched Ah Xiang take a bath together...!"

Guan Renjie’s voice was loud, but Lin Yun, who was listening beside him, suddenly snapped. He kicked Guan Renjie squarely in the ass, roaring, "Are you an idiot?"

Ah Xiang had been a servant in the Guan Family’s household. The young maid had been quite pretty. Lin Yun saw the smile and was mortified. Having no other choice, he shot a fierce glare at the guard. The man immediately gave an awkward laugh.

"I didn’t hear a thing. I think the fight messed with my hearing."

Only then did Lin Yun’s expression soften. He turned and hissed at Guan Renjie, "Are you doing this on purpose? When did *I* ever peek at Ah Xiang bathing?"

His words were heavy with threat. Any normal person would have understood his meaning and known how to respond. However, our Eldest Young Master Guan proved to be an exception. He looked at Lin Yun with a wronged expression and said,

"But we did! Don’t you remember? You even said Ah Xiang had a big butt and was definitely the type to bear sons..."

At his words, a sly grin appeared on Lin Yun’s face, because as Guan Renjie spoke, Lu Bingning and her brother had just walked up behind him.

Seeing them, Lin Yun put on a righteous act. "Guan Renjie, what do you think Lu Bingning is? An object? Something to be traded?"
