Divine War Pill Emperor
Chapter 111: Here Again
"President, you saw him. That kid is arrogant beyond belief, so disrespectful."
On the way back, Xiao Gu complained nonstop to Master Qin about Jiang Chen.
He painted Jiang Chen as utterly worthless.
Master Qin was, in fact, quite irritated himself.
But his composure was clearly far superior to Xiao Gu’s.
He waved a dismissive hand. "It’s nothing for someone like him to be a bit arrogant. It would be far more terrifying if he were modest."
"Enough. Say no more. I will come see him again tomorrow."
Xiao Gu was left speechless. Even though Master Qin said that, Xiao Gu could tell he was also inwardly displeased with Jiang Chen.
But it seemed he was holding back, wary of Jiang Chen’s formidable status as an Alchemist.
After all, Xiao Gu knew full well that this President was a ruthless man himself. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
’Even so, he humiliated me. I won’t let him get away with it.’
’So what if his Alchemy Skill is high? With his measly Warrior Cultivation, I can still crush him as easily as an ant.’
The only thing he was wary of now was that treasure in Jiang Chen’s hands.
He didn’t mention it to Master Qin, however.
SWISH!
After several hours of refining, Jiang Chen saw that a sizable amount of transparent liquid had formed inside his Pill Furnace.
It was currently coalescing into a sphere, rolling about within the Pill Furnace.
This was the Broken Soul he had refined.
It was incredibly toxic, potent enough to kill any Martial Cultivator below the rank of Martial King without issue.
However, he was using a special technique to control it, preventing any of the toxic fumes from leaking out of the Pill Furnace.
Furthermore, Jiang Chen had already refined an Antitoxic Pill for himself and was holding it in his mouth as a precaution.
The Broken Soul was now complete.
"Contain!"
He took out a porcelain vial and gestured toward the Pill Furnace.
Under his control, a streak of light shot into the porcelain vial with a SWISH.
Jiang Chen didn’t dare to delay. He quickly placed a seal on the vial, sealing it shut.
This would naturally prevent any toxic fumes from leaking out.
When the time came to use it, he would simply break the seal.
"Perfect."
Jiang Chen let out a long sigh of relief.
Having successfully refined the Broken Soul, he now had another major safeguard.
He now possessed the Nine Heavens Spirit-Seizing Technique and the Vermilion Bird Seal. He also had the Divine Wind Fan, and even had four Blazing Pills left. With the addition of the Soul-Breaking Poison, he was practically armed to the teeth.
Unfortunately, this was the limit of what Jiang Chen could currently refine. If he could create Third-Grade Elixirs, he was confident that not even a Martial King Expert would escape him alive.
With the refining complete, Jiang Chen began to practice the Nine Heavens Spirit-Seizing Technique, absorbing Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi.
He pulled a large pile of primordial crystals from his Spatial Ring, tossed them casually around himself, and activated the Nine Heavens Spirit-Seizing Technique.
The technique enveloped the crystals. The next moment, streams of pure Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi were drawn from them, flowing swiftly into Jiang Chen’s body.
Jiang Chen’s Cultivation began to fluctuate faintly.
BUZZ!
Just as the sky began to brighten at dawn, Jiang Chen’s body suddenly shuddered.
His eyes flew open in delight.
He checked his condition.
’My Cultivation has broken through again.’
That’s right. Jiang Chen’s Cultivation had reached the Warrior Fourth Heaven. He had advanced from the Warrior Third Heaven to the Warrior Fourth Heaven in less than half a month.
His Cultivation speed was, simply put, astonishingly fast.
This was because he not only possessed a Top-Grade Martial Vein, but also had the Nine Heavens Spirit-Seizing Technique.
Either the Top-Grade Martial Vein or the Nine Heavens Spirit-Seizing Technique alone would allow someone to cultivate much faster than an ordinary person.
With the two combined, his speed was even greater.
The exhilarating feeling of his Cultivation breakthrough left Jiang Chen feeling completely invigorated.
The Cultivation Power he had previously consumed by using the Divine Wind Fan was now fully restored and had even increased. This meant that the next time he used the Divine Wind Fan, its power would be even greater.
"Big Bro, that old fellow is here again."
First thing in the morning, Jiang Zuo had come running to report the news to Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen had specifically assigned Jiang Zuo to be his lookout, and the kid hadn’t disappointed. He was proving quite adept at gathering information.
He had been waiting at the Jiang Family’s main gate since early morning.
This was because Jiang Chen had instructed him to see if Master Qin, the President of the Alchemist Guild, would actually return to the Jiang Family.
Hearing Jiang Zuo’s words, Jiang Chen was secretly surprised.
’This man is certainly shrewd. I didn’t expect Master Qin to actually come again today.’
"Alright, I understand. You’re dismissed."
"Oh, right. These are some Elixirs I got from my master. Take them. They might help you improve your Cultivation."
Jiang Zuo stared, dumbfounded, as Jiang Chen handed him five gleaming golden Elixirs.
He simply couldn’t believe his eyes.
He had never seen such Elixirs in his entire life.
These were just some First-Grade Elixirs that Jiang Chen had casually refined.
For someone at Jiang Zuo’s level of Martial Artist Cultivation, they were still highly beneficial.
"Thank you, Big Bro."
Jiang Zuo was overjoyed and thanked Jiang Chen profusely.
Jiang Chen said calmly, "Don’t tell anyone. Consider this our secret. Keep a low profile."
Jiang Zuo nodded repeatedly, expressed his thanks once more, and departed.
The kid was absolutely ecstatic.
First-Grade Elixirs, however, were of little use to Jiang Chen himself.
He had already given plenty of Elixirs to Jiang Xuan and Jiang Ling to help them improve their Cultivation.
But now, Master Qin had returned.
Jiang Chen was curious to find out what the man wanted.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before Jiang Han sent someone to summon Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen headed straight for the family’s main hall.
Inside the Jiang Family’s main hall, Jiang Han had been receiving Master Qin and Xiao Gu since early that morning.
Many members of the Jiang Family were present, all of them looking astonished.
After all, Master Qin had actually returned.
"Young Master Jiang."
This time, Master Qin once again took the initiative to greet him.
Jiang Chen couldn’t go too far this time. He extended his hand and shook Master Qin’s.
"Chairman Qin, my apologies for making you come all this way twice."
Since the man had come in good faith, Jiang Chen felt he should show him some courtesy.
Master Qin hadn’t expected Jiang Chen’s disposition to change so suddenly overnight; he had become so agreeable.
It was a bit disarming.
This was for the best, however.
The two immediately fell into conversation.
The conversation was quite pleasant.
Seeing this, everyone in the Jiang Family breathed a collective sigh of relief. It was reassuring when the boy showed a little humility; his usual arrogance was a constant source of fear and worry.
The Jiang Family members had worried themselves sick over Jiang Chen.
"Young Master Jiang, shall we speak privately?"
Jiang Chen nodded. "Please."
With that, he led Master Qin toward the reception hall.
Master Qin smiled; the atmosphere was quite amicable.
Of course, upon seeing this, Xiao Gu immediately followed them, intending to enter the reception hall as well.
But just as he reached the doorway, Jiang Chen suddenly turned, frowning at Xiao Gu.
He said coolly, "You. Out."
What?
Xiao Gu froze. Jiang Chen had kicked him out again.
His face turned ashen with rage.
And he’d done it right in front of Chairman Qin.
Master Qin could see that Jiang Chen had quite a temper and clearly held a grudge against Xiao Gu.
He turned back to Xiao Gu and said, "Xiao Gu, wait outside. Jiang Chen and I have matters to discuss."
Fuming, Xiao Gu stalked back into the Jiang Family’s main hall and sat down heavily. His expression was venomous and unsettled, and his chest heaved violently.
He was clearly furious enough to choke.
He looked as if he might just die from sheer rage.
