Mika Summers stood on the balcony, gazing at the scenery outside. Her eyes were a mixture of confusion, loneliness, and sorrow...

She didn’t notice that someone else had been standing beside her for a while now.

Archie Summers just stood there quietly beside her, also looking out at the view. ’He often wondered if he hadn’t gone abroad all those years ago, would his sister have ever met Tristan Grayson? Would she be wearing this sorrowful expression that had no place on her face?’

He turned to look at Mika, his voice low and raspy. "Mika, as long as you want it, I will help you, no matter what."

"Brother..." Mika was pulled from her thoughts, a little surprised.

"Mika, if you don’t want this, I’ll talk to Mom and Dad." ’He believed they would agree, for Mika’s sake.’

"Brother, what are you talking about?" ’She didn’t understand why he was suddenly saying this.’

"Mika, you’ve seen it for yourself. Tristan Grayson doesn’t care about you at all. If he really did, how could he not even show up for something as important as his own marriage proposal?"

Mika’s heart quivered, and she said in a rush of anxiety, "Brother, I’m not lying to you! Tristan really is on a business trip."

Seeing how nervous Mika was, the smile vanished from Archie’s face. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, his gaze turning cold as he asked in a low voice, "Was it Tristan Grayson who told you he was on a business trip?"

"Mhm..." Mika nodded, a little confused.

"Heh. Mika Summers, you really are gullible. He says he’s on a business trip, and you just believe him? How could I, Archie Summers, possibly have a sister as foolish as you!" Archie snapped, then turned and stormed away.

Mika froze, stunned by Archie’s rebuke. Then, she slowly sank to the ground, a look of anguish filling her eyes.
