Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me - Chapter 219: Implicated
Tristan Grayson advanced toward them, a gun in his hand and his eyes cold.
"Tristan..."
"Tristan..."
...The men on the bed scrambled to their feet, terrified.
Tristan kicked the man closest to him. His eyes were bloodshot as he bellowed in fury, "Get out! All of you, get the hell out!"
"Tristan, we were just getting paid to do a job..." one of them stammered as the men fled toward Director Archer and Gia Miller.
Tristan shrugged off his jacket, strode over, and wrapped it tightly around her. His voice was laced with menace as he addressed the stunned, bald man. "Director Archer, you’ve got some real nerve, daring to kidnap a woman who belongs to me, Tristan Grayson."
"Gia, what the hell is going on? How could you kidnap Young Master Grayson’s woman? Are you trying to get me killed?" Director Archer was so terrified he nearly dropped to his knees. He whipped his head around to question Gia.
Gia showed no fear, only a mocking smile. "Don’t be afraid, Director Archer. Why would I ever want to hurt you?"
"Gia, don’t do anything reckless." ’How could he not be afraid? The woman they’d kidnapped belonged to Young Master Grayson...’
Gia smiled and nodded, crossing her arms as she walked toward Tristan. She raised an eyebrow, glancing at the woman in his arms. "Tristan, you didn’t really think that after I let you come to the rescue, I’d let you just walk away with her, did you?"
"Heh. Then what do you want?"
"Right now, you have two choices. One, you film an AV with me. Two, you let her finish what she started."
"Heh..." Tristan scoffed, casually toying with the gun in one hand before aiming it at Gia’s head. "I’ll give you a choice. Get out of my way. Now. Or I’ll blow your brains out."
"Oh, Tristan, still so arrogant. Do you really think I’d lure you here without being fully prepared?" Gia raised her hands and clapped twice. Suddenly, more than a dozen men in black suits filed in through the main door. They were also holding guns, all aimed at Tristan and Mika. Tristan wasn’t particularly shocked to see the man in the lead was Gia’s own brother, Jared Miller. In fact, the smile on his lips only grew more sinister.
Seeing this, Director Archer was so scared he pissed himself. His legs trembled as he stammered, "Gia, wh-wh-what are you doing?" ’He was just a small-time director of trashy films; he’d never witnessed a standoff like this in his life.’
"Director Archer, haven’t you always wanted to be famous? Well, here’s your chance. Once the video of me and Tristan gets out, I guarantee you’ll have a box office smash on your hands!"
"Gia! N-n-no, how could that possibly work? Please, stop trying to get me killed!" ’Director Archer was, in fact, tempted. With Tristan’s influence, this could absolutely make him an overnight sensation. The problem was, he was afraid he wouldn’t be alive to enjoy his newfound fame. Would Tristan Grayson really let him get away with this?’
Tristan discreetly switched the gun to his other hand and pressed it into Mika’s. He held her tightly, whispering in her ear, "Don’t be afraid. When I grab Gia, you take this gun, hold her hostage, and get out of here."
"What about you?" A tremor ran through Mika at his words, and she spoke in a rush.
"As long as you get out safely, I’ll be fine."
"—" Her eyes welled with tears and she shook her head. ’In all of this, she hated Tristan. She hated him for dragging her into this mess. But she had never, ever wanted him to die...’
Tristan hugged her tighter. "Trust me." Before she could answer, he released her, straightened up, and faced Gia. "I’ll film an AV with you. Let her go!"
