"Ah, I’m so dead, so dead, so dead!!!" Jasmine Warren muttered miserably, running a hand over the long scratch.

Just then, Jason Lockwood emerged to see a woman so frantic she was tilting her head back and stomping her feet. The corner of his mouth curled into a slight smile as he walked toward her.

When he reached her, she clearly hadn’t noticed him. She was still muttering under her breath, "I’m screwed! I’m totally screwed this time!"

Jason Lockwood leaned over, his gaze following her hand. When he saw the scratch on the car, his voice turned dark as he said slowly, "Yes, you certainly are."

"Ah! A-are you a ghost?! What the—!" A voice suddenly sounded by Jasmine Warren’s ear, scaring her so much she nearly collapsed to her knees. She spun around and roared furiously at the plastic surgery guy.

"Heh, tomboy. Never mind if I’m a ghost or a man. First, why don’t you explain what’s happened to my car?" Jason Lockwood said, stroking his chin as he stared at Jasmine Warren with a dark gaze.

Jasmine Warren ran a hand over the car’s body, trying to inch away. Dodging his gaze, she gave a sheepish smile and stammered, "This car of yours... uh, probably... maybe... let’s just say... I might have been the one who accidentally scratched it..."

"So, was it you who scratched it, or not?" Jason Lockwood asked, suppressing a smile. He narrowed his eyes dangerously as he advanced on her.

Jasmine Warren suddenly had an idea. She pointed to the sky and said, "I’m not sure, either. A spaceship just flew by, and I didn’t get a good look, so... so... so I don’t really know..." Her voice lost its conviction as she spoke, trailing off at the end.

Jason Lockwood couldn’t stop his mouth from twitching. "A spaceship flew by?" ’This woman’s mind really works in mysterious ways...’

"Mhm, that’s right, a spaceship. So... so... I don’t know what really happened. You should just drop it. Don’t ask any more questions."

"Oh? So that’s what happened."

"Yep, yep, that’s exactly what happened." Seeing that Jason Lockwood seemed to believe her, Jasmine Warren nodded vigorously.

At this, a sharp glint flashed in Jason Lockwood’s eyes. His smile vanished, and he snapped coldly, "Do you take me for an idiot?"

"No, no! How could I take you for an idiot? Even if you were one, I wouldn’t dare treat you like one!" Jasmine Warren flinched and quickly waved her hands in denial.

However, her words did nothing to appease Jason Lockwood; in fact, they only made him angrier. ’So she really does take me for an idiot. It looks like she won’t learn her lesson unless I teach it to her myself.’

With that thought, he reached out, yanked her into his arms, and landed a firm slap on her bottom. "That’s for spouting nonsense!"

With a loud SMACK, Jasmine Warren’s entire body jerked in shock. Mortified and enraged, she glared at Jason Lockwood and screamed, "Ah! You... Mr. Plastic Surgery, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!"

"Lying comes with a punishment! And that was just a small one," Jason Lockwood said with a smugly raised eyebrow and a devilish smirk.

"Aaargh! Are you nuts?! I’m gonna kill you!" With a cry, Jasmine Warren lunged at Jason Lockwood.

Jason Lockwood was unfazed by this reaction. He simply reached out and caught her, then leaned down, scooped her up into his arms, opened the car door, and deposited her into the passenger seat.

"You damn pervert, let me go! If you’ve got any guts, then don’t touch me! Let’s fight it out, one-on-one!" Jasmine Warren seethed, fuming in the passenger seat.
