Just as Jasmine Warren was starting to feel afraid, a woman’s voice cut through the silence. "Maybe coming here isn’t such a good idea!"

A man’s voice followed right after. "What’s there to be afraid of? It’s so late, there’s no way anyone is around."

"But this is The Baron’s office. What if we get discovered...?"

"So what if we’re discovered? He wouldn’t dare do a thing to us. Don’t forget, we’ve got something on him."

"You’re right. If he dares to do anything to us, we’ll just tell Archie Lockwood. Worst case, we all go down together."

"Clever."

...Listening to the conversation outside, which eventually devolved into the panting of a man and a woman, Jasmine Warren’s expression grew increasingly grim.

’So, they’re not fucking stealing things! They’re here to have an affair?’

’But what kind of dirt could they possibly have on Jason Lockwood?’

Jasmine Warren mulled it over for a moment but couldn’t make sense of it, so she stopped torturing herself. But hearing the couple’s lustful moans outside, she clenched her fists in anger. ’How could a place like this be defiled by two such disgusting people.’

’This place should belong to her and Jason Lockwood alone!’

With that thought, Jasmine Warren pinched her nose and let out a bizarre, coquettish moan. "Ahh... Baron... The Baron, you’re... you’re hurting me..."

...She was about to cry out a couple more times when she heard a THUD against the door. After that, all was quiet outside.

Jasmine Warren grabbed her phone, stood up, and flipped on the lights. She unlocked the door and stared at the mess on the office desk, so angry she wanted to tear the entire room apart!

’Jason Lockwood, you’re so damn pathetic! How could you let someone get something on you!’

’Having them get something on you is one thing, but letting them come all the way here to carry on their damn affair!’

At this thought, Jasmine Warren spun around and unleashed a furious volley of kicks on the door!

’When Jason Lockwood gets back, she’s going to teach him a good lesson. He’s so damn gutless!’

Jason Lockwood didn’t get back until almost one in the morning.

He’d originally thought the woman would be asleep when he returned, but to his surprise, not only was she not sleeping, she was sitting on the bed waiting for him.

He furrowed his brows slightly, then a devilish smile played on his lips. "What’s wrong? Couldn’t sleep because you missed me?"

"Jason Lockwood, why the hell are you back so damn late!" God only knew how she had endured the last few hours.

She’d nearly passed out from exhaustion several times, but she had to force herself to stay awake to keep an eye on that bastard, Jason Lockwood!

"I had a late engagement, that’s why I’m back late. It’s my fault for leaving you all alone here. I’ll make it up to you right now." Jasmine Warren shoved Jason Lockwood away with all her might, shouting angrily, "Get the hell off me!"

"What’s wrong? Why are you so angry?" Jason Lockwood immediately lost interest. He rolled over and lay down on the bed by himself, his tone exasperated.

"What do you think is wrong? Jason Lockwood, you tell me: in the past month, have you come back early even once!"

Hearing the woman’s words, Jason Lockwood’s brows knitted together tightly. After a long moment, he finally spoke, his voice cold. "After a while, once things have stabilized, I’ll be with you every day."

"Jason Lockwood, I don’t want to be locked up in this hellhole! Do you have any idea that someone came into your office tonight to have an affair?"
