The moment the young man’s voice rang out, all eyes turned toward him. When they saw who it was, their pupils contracted, their gazes filled with profound apprehension.

They knew this young man all too well.

It was none other than the leading figure of Yunhuang City’s younger generation, the Lii Family’s Eldest Young Master, Lii Yifei!

Beside Lii Yifei was a charming young woman, his wife, Han Qingqing.

Upon seeing Ye Wushuang, Han Qingqing smiled faintly, turned her head, and began to whisper to Lii Yifei.

"Brother, Sister-in-law, you’re here!"

A smile appeared on Lii Yijun’s face when he saw the two of them.

"Sister-in-law, I was about to take Benefactor Ye home," Lii Yijun added, "but certain people wouldn’t let us leave. They were planning on keeping us here." As he spoke, he shot a cold glare at Su Yang.

At this, Su Yang’s expression changed. He stared at Lii Yifei, saying nothing.

"Second Young Master Lii, this is all just a misunderstanding," Tang Yunxuan said with a smile as she stepped forward. Her face was calm, betraying no emotion.

’This, however, is what gave Ye Wushuang pause. The woman never let her emotions show on her face. Clearly, her self-control was formidable. She was no ordinary woman.’

"A misunderstanding?"

The crowd was stunned. They clearly hadn’t expected Tang Yunxuan to say such a thing.

On second thought, however, everyone understood. Ye Wushuang had ties to the Lii Family, and now Lii Yifei himself had appeared. If they continued to press the issue, no one would be able to walk away without losing face.

"I have already been briefed on what happened earlier," Tang Yunxuan began. "It was my unruly brother who started this mess and offended Young Master Ye."

As Tang Yunxuan spoke, she turned to Ye Wushuang with a small smile. "Young Master Ye, I apologize to you on my brother’s behalf."

"But Sister, he hit me!"

Young Master Tang was not pleased.

"Shut your mouth!" Tang Yunxuan shot him a fierce glare. "Do you think I don’t know what you’re like? Now get your ass home. You’re not allowed out for a month."

"Sister, are you really..."

Hearing this, Young Master Tang opened his mouth to protest, but the words died on his lips when he saw Tang Yunxuan’s stern expression. He could only resort to putting on a pitiful face, hoping to win her sympathy.

But Tang Yunxuan ignored him completely.

Seeing this, Young Master Tang’s defiance evaporated. He could only obediently leave Juying Tower. As he passed Ye Wushuang, however, he shot him a resentful glare.

An apology!

His words were diplomatic, but everyone understood: he had politely refused Tang Yunxuan’s offer.

Tang Yunxuan didn’t seem angry at all. She simply smiled and said, "Nonsense, Young Master Ye. Today, my hospitality was lacking; how could I possibly blame you? If today is inconvenient, then I will host another banquet some other day. I trust you won’t refuse me then."

"Of course, of course. How could I possibly refuse such a generous invitation from Miss Tang?"

Ye Wushuang offered another platitude before following Lii Yifei and the others out of Juying Tower.

Su Yang walked to Tang Yunxuan’s side. His face was grim as he watched Ye Wushuang leave. "Miss," he said coldly, "are we really just letting him go like that?"

"And could you have stopped him?" Tang Yunxuan asked coolly, her expression once again turning serious.

"If Lii Yifei hadn’t shown up, I could have crushed him easily," Su Yang said, clenching his fist. A cold glint flashed in his eyes, revealing he was not ready to give up. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

’Could you, really?’

Tang Yunxuan stared silently at the doorway. ’I was watching him the whole time,’ she thought. ’I didn’t see a single trace of fear on his face. He only looked grave when he was looking at me. Otherwise, he was completely confident, as if Su Yang posed no threat to him at all.’
