Dragon Blood Saint Emperor
Chapter 181 - 182: True Essence Third Layer
Within the Ancestral Land, Spiritual Qi was as thick as mist. Dao Charm suffused the air, and faint Dao Marks flickered in and out of sight!
Ye Wushuang sat cross-legged, the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique circulating as it madly devoured the dense Spiritual Qi from the void. Along with it, strands of mysterious Dao Marks seized the opportunity to burrow into his body.
In the Enlightenment Land, the most precious treasures were the Dao Marks!
The Dao Marks were imbued with the aura of the legendary Great Saint Sage and contained the mysteries of heaven and earth. Absorbing them didn’t just increase one’s strength—there were other benefits as well!
As these Dao Marks burrowed into his body and rapidly merged with his blood, Ye Wushuang instantly felt his blood begin to boil. His Blood Qi surged to the heavens, and the faint image of a Golden Dragon flashed into existence—an extraordinarily mystical sight!
Ye Wushuang felt his bloodline had been strengthened, and even his physical body had gained unimaginable benefits!
HUMMM!
At the same time, within his Divine Court, the Tai Chi Pattern began to spin at high speed. The Dao Marks entered through the center of Ye Wushuang’s brow and were devoured by the Tai Chi Pattern.
The Tai Chi Pattern was no longer illusory; it gradually solidified, all while casting out beams of Divine Light that alternated between Yin and Yang!
As the Divine Light radiated outward, Ye Wushuang discovered his Divine Sense was gradually growing stronger. A soothing sensation even washed over his soul!
’I never thought the Power of Dao Rhythm here would be so mystical. This is incredible!’
Ye Wushuang felt an urge to groan in pleasure.
Of course, he didn’t waste a single moment; the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique automatically absorbed the Dao Marks!
Then, recalling something, he took out a silver-white bead. Lightning coiled around it as sparks of electricity leaped across its surface, sizzling loudly!
He had obtained this from the Unihorned Thunder Leopard’s resting place.
Within the bead, Ye Wushuang sensed a potent Thunder Origin!
’This Thunder Bead contains Thunder Origin. I wonder if refining it will increase my strength!’
Ye W-ushuang sized up the silver-white bead, contemplated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and began the refinement process immediately!
CRACK!
CRACK!
During the refinement, streaks of lightning shot out from the bead. They struck Ye Wushuang’s body like electric serpents, producing a sizzling sound.
Ye Wushuang already had some immunity to the Power of thunder and lightning, so he wasn’t afraid. In fact, a hint of joy appeared on his face.
The silver-white bead was unexpectedly made of pure Thunder Origin!
As he refined it, this Thunder Origin was continuously absorbed and refined, transforming into Dragon Spirit True Essence that carried a trace of lightning’s might.
Ye Wushuang’s Cultivation also began to slowly increase!
This slow increase continued until the fourth day!
’True Essence Third Layer—break!’
Following an inner roar, it was as if the shackles binding him had shattered. A humming sound echoed forth. RUMBLE... The dense Dragon Spirit True Essence surged through his meridians like a torrential river, emitting a fearsome aura!
SWISH! SWISH!
Two sharp, divine glints burst from his eyes, like two Unparalleled Divine Swords piercing the void!
’I’ve finally broken through to the True Essence Third Layer! The gap between me and the strongest disciples has narrowed a bit more!’ This breakthrough filled Ye Wushuang’s heart with an indescribable joy.
Again.
With that thought, Ye Wushuang once again entered a state of cultivation.
He didn’t emerge from the Ancestral Land until the fifth day.
His strength had consolidated at the True Essence Third Layer. To his surprise, his Divine Sense had been greatly enhanced, almost catching up to that of a Spiritual Spring Realm expert.
If anyone else knew, they would be utterly shocked. After all, Divine Sense was supposed to strengthen in tandem with one’s Cultivation level, but Ye Wushuang had defied that convention!
Moreover, as the Dao Marks entered him, his Tai Chi Pattern also reaped great benefits, becoming more corporeal. The Tai Chi Power brought a clarity to his body and mind, keeping him constantly alert and clear-headed.
Furthermore, his bloodline power seemed to have been awakened. His Blood Qi grew vigorous, and his physical body was also enhanced!
This time, his overall strength had improved across the board!
Meanwhile, the appearance of the Earth Palace had thrown the various powers within the Endless Wilderness into a frenzy. Genius disciples emerged from their sects one after another, all rushing toward the Earth Palace in the depths of the wilderness.
What’s more, some powers from outside the Endless Wilderness had appeared within its borders as well.
On the sixth day, Ye Wushuang also prepared to head to the Earth Palace.
Pann Cang and the other clan elders had conferred and decided that Pann Wu would accompany Ye Wushuang to the Earth Palace. The other Giant Spirit Warriors would follow behind later.
Leaving the territory of the Giant Spirit Race, Ye Wushuang arrived back at the place where he had first met Pann Wu. The area was now a complete mess—clearly the aftermath of the battle between Pann Wu and Anx Shijie.
’I wonder if that old dog Anx Shijie is dead yet?’ Ye Wushuang thought, a cold glint in his eyes. A Spiritual Spring Realm senior trying to assassinate a junior like him—this was a grudge he would definitely settle. ’I must use this trip to the Earth Palace to increase my strength, then come back and put that old dog down for good!’
With one hand clasped behind his back, he began to walk on air.
Behind him, Pann Wu followed. Though he seemed to take one deliberate step at a time, his speed was even greater, and he stayed right behind Ye Wushuang.
WHOOSH!
A streak of white light suddenly shot out from Ye Wushuang’s body!
This streak of white light was, in fact, the Dragon Cat!
It was even faster now; even Ye Wushuang had trouble tracking its movements.
"Kid, lend this big lug to Lord Cat for a couple of days so I can show off!" The Dragon Cat glanced sideways at Ye Wushuang, then shot off toward Pann Wu with a WHOOSH.
Seeing this, Ye Wushuang simply shook his head and continued forward.
Pann Wu stopped in his tracks, gazing in confusion at the thumb-sized furball before him.
"Never seen such a handsome cat before!?"
Gazing up at the pair of eyes as large as bronze bells staring down at him, the Dragon Cat curled its lip in a smirk. Full of narcissism, it asked, "Allow me to introduce myself. Lord Cat is the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Cat, your clan’s Priest’s Cat. Ever heard of a Priest’s Cat?"
"No!" Pann Wu shook his head. ’When did the Giant Spirit Clan get a Priest’s Cat?’ he wondered.
"You don’t know?" The Dragon Cat’s eyes glinted slyly. Pointing toward Ye Wushuang up ahead, it asked Pann Wu, "Let me ask you, is he your Lord Priest?"
Though he didn’t understand what the Dragon Cat was getting at, Pann Wu replied, "Yes!"
"Since he’s the Priest, and Lord Cat is his friend, doesn’t that make me the Priest’s Cat!" the Dragon Cat declared. It didn’t care if its logic was sound; it had been observing Pann Wu for a while and knew he was just a simple-minded giant.
"You are the Lord Priest’s friend?" Hearing the word "Priest," Pann Wu’s expression suddenly turned serious.
"Of course! Lord Cat’s word is his word!" the Dragon Cat said shamelessly as its shifty eyes darted about. It was inwardly ecstatic. ’I’ve got this big oaf handled! Lord Cat is definitely taking him into the Earth Palace to crush anyone who defies me and any posers who get in my way! GAGAGA!’
It let out a series of strange cackles, a sly grin plastered on its face. It seemed to be picturing itself leading Pann Wu around, beating everyone who annoyed it to the ground, forcing them to kneel and beg for mercy, crying, "Lord Cat, spare us!"
After a moment, it reluctantly returned to its senses and said, "Big oaf, let’s go. We have to catch up to the Lord Priest!"
Pann Wu glanced at the Dragon Cat but said nothing more. ’Since it’s the Lord Priest’s pet, I should respect it,’ he thought. With that, he finally started walking again.
Ye Wushuang’s figure was already far in the distance.
BOOM!
Suddenly, about three miles ahead of him, the sound of a massive explosion rang out.
Hearing this, Ye Wushuang frowned. He glanced back at Pann Wu, who was rapidly catching up, before dashing toward the source of the explosion.
