Shortly after they arrived, Cassandra took Ren to a magic store to sell the Flame Shield and Inferno Lance spell books.

They paid him $40,000 for them.

Since there was not a single Intermediate-rank lightning spell book available, he decided to buy two health potions.

Once they were done with their business, they returned to the organization.

"I still have a lot of work to do, so I can’t stay with you any longer. Come to my office if you need any help." After saying that, Cassandra left his private training ground.

"How much did they pay for these two spell books?" Lily asked curiously.

Ren raised four fingers. "$40,000."

"Wow! That’s a lot of money, Ren!" Lily stated. "You are so rich now!"

"Well, it’s still nothing compared to Zara." Ren quickly turned his head left and right. "By the way, where is she? Is she still not here yet?"

"She said she had family business, so she could not come today," Lily called Virelia earlier.

"I see." Ren finally knew why he didn’t see her. "How about we buy some games now. We can play them when we have free time."

"Good idea!" Lily and David said in unison.

Elara didn’t say anything, but she nodded enthusiastically.

Then, they went to a toy and game store together.

Time went by quickly and without realizing it, it was already 03:45 pm. At this moment, Ren and Elara were on their way to Sylvie’s coffee shop.

They went home earlier because Sylvie wanted to introduce his teacher to him.

While they were walking hand in hand, Sylvie was chatting with Veronica and Alice. Veronica brought Alice with her so that Alice could study together with Ren.

"He is an orphan?" Veronica was startled.

Sylvie said her student would pay her handsomely, so she thought he was from a wealthy family.

"Yes." Sylvie nodded slightly. "He is from the Silverleaf Orphanage."

"He is a kind and easy-going young man. Don’t worry. You won’t have a hard time teaching him." Ren could always master anything she taught him quickly, so Sylvie knew he was a prodigy.

Just as Sylvie was about to say something, she noticed Ren and Elara. "It’s him. He has arrived."

Veronica and Alice turned to where Sylvie was looking. The moment their gaze fell on him, both of them were stunned.

It had never crossed their minds that the one who would be Veronica’s student was Ren.

While Alice was still in a state of shock, Veronica’s lips curled up into a smile. She had planned to meet him tomorrow, so the unexpected meeting pleased her greatly.

"Hehe." Veronica and the others giggled at his reaction.

"So, you want to know more about your lightning element so that you can create your own skills?" Veronica knew about this from Sylvie.

"Yes," Ren answered. "I awakened both paths, so it would be a pity if I didn’t take advantage of the uniqueness I possess."

Alice’s eyes widened in shock.

’What?! His own skills?’

She found it hard to believe what she was hearing.

Normally, only 8-star or 9-star awakeners would try to do that because it required immense effort, deep understanding, and a long time.

"Well, I just want to relax and be treated like an ordinary mage." Sometimes, Veronica missed the days when she was still a nobody.

Of course, she didn’t hate her status.

"Alright." Sylvie agreed. "But I won’t interfere or help you if he finds out all your lies."

Ravenna was startled. "By Ren, you mean that Ren?"

"Yes." Veronica nodded. "Fate is truly unpredictable, isn’t it? I never thought the one I wanted to meet would end up becoming my student."

"Aria would be furious if she knew about this," Ravenna stated.

"I’m sure she would." Veronica agreed with her.

"So, what kind of person is he?" Ravenna asked curiously.

"I still don’t know much about him, but during our first meeting, he was an interesting person," Veronica replied. "Sylvie also said he is a good and kind young man."

"How did he react when he found out his teacher was the leader of the Nexus Organization?" Veronica threw another question.

"He doesn’t know," Veronica replied. "He is not up to date with the news, so he thought I was just an ordinary, powerful mage."

"What?!" Ravenna said in surprise. "Did you not tell him about you?"

"No." Veronica shook her head. "It’s better if he doesn’t know who I am. This way, he will show me his real personality."
