Dual Worlds: I Have a Doomsday World
Chapter 285 - 212: Lin Qi’s Invitation and Attack Notice
The key to breaking the stalemate was hidden in this very transaction—within the batch of Extraordinary Items the European Big Business Alliance had given to Aishwarya.
Judging by the rhythm of the six Wizards’ analysis and Meditation, everything appeared to be fine.
Lin Qi, however, discovered that Exotic Spiritual Particles had appeared inside the Wizards’ bodies.
These Exotic Spiritual Particles were gathering in the Wizards’ kidneys.
Furthermore, the feeling these Exotic Spiritual Particles gave off was identical to the Holy Light Lin Qi had encountered back in Greenfield City.
The only difference was that these Exotic Spiritual Particles hadn’t erupted yet.
’I have a hunch... if I used Blood Manipulation to blow up their kidneys right now, the Holy Light would instantly erupt from their bodies.’
Lin Qi had been bathed in the Holy Light before and knew what it meant for a Wizard.
Mere external exposure could guide a Wizard’s Spiritual Power to merge with their physical body, forcing them to reveal their true form.
’But what if it detonated inside the body?’
’It wouldn’t be as simple as being forced to transform into a Tentacle Monster. It would very likely damage the very source of their Spiritual Power, and possibly even injure... their soul.’
’As a Tier Two, Lin Qi hadn’t yet touched upon the domain of the soul. But based on his understanding of Spiritual Power, he was certain a soul existed, hidden deep within the Sea of Consciousness.’
’Looks like the European Big Business Alliance really set up Councilwoman Aishwarya.’
’Once Councilwoman Aishwarya helps the European Administrative Region purge the other Wizard factions within the Asian Administrative Region’s sphere of influence, she’ll be the next to go.’
’This "remote-controlled bomb" of Holy Light is already in place. The moment they decide to make their move, the battle will be won and lost in an instant.’
’But for me... this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.’
A brand-new plan began to form in Lin Qi’s mind.
This plan could not only resolve the Liu Clan’s crisis but could also be a massive help to the Highest-Level Mercenary Corps’ current mission.
If he could make Aishwarya switch sides and have a complete falling-out with Ninghang Technology, then the entire crisis would resolve itself.
Lin Qi immediately composed an email and sent it to the highest-level secure email address.
Guang Ling, I have a plan, but I need your help. I need a secure channel to speak with Aishwarya remotely.
After making his request, Lin Qi gave Guang Ling a rough outline of the plan.
The plan would be a huge help to the mission, so Guang Ling was quick to agree.
The reply came via email.
Aishwarya is in the Council Building, discussing today’s events with her think tank. She’s already aware that she’s been targeted by an investigation and has locked onto the Liu Clan. I can establish a temporary connection through the communication terminal Aishwarya is using, but the risk is very high. You can’t send more than five messages within 24 hours, or I risk being exposed.
Since the matter involved a standing member of the Big Business Alliance’s council—and one from a clearly hostile faction, no less—and could even entangle the European Big Business Alliance, Guang Ling was understandably cautious.
This, however, struck Lin Qi as a bit odd.
’Capitalist’s background was anything but simple, so why had Guang Ling dared to pull him into the fold back then, yet seemed so hesitant now when faced with Aishwarya?’
Lin Qi didn’t understand, but he didn’t dwell on it.
’Five messages? That’s actually enough.’
I’ll give it my best shot. Five chances, I think that should be enough.
Lin Qi replied.
The moment he sent his reply, an email with an attachment arrived from Guang Ling.
It was the temporary chat window Guang Ling had created. The other end connected directly to Aishwarya, a standing member of the Asian Big Business Alliance’s council.
No. 32, Core Road, basement level seven. The Six Paths of Holy Light are locked on. I imagine you’ll want to see this for yourself.
This was the first message Lin Qi sent.
In a way, it was an invitation from Lin Qi.
An invitation Aishwarya couldn’t refuse.
Before moving to the next phase of his plan, Lin Qi needed Aishwarya to enter the range of his Spiritual Vision. He had to confirm one more thing before he could decide on his next move.
...
Inside the Council Building, in Aishwarya’s private council office.
A woman—her skin a shade lighter than a native of New Reid City, almost pale, and just beginning to lose its firmness—suddenly tensed.
She had been discussing intelligence on the Liu Clan with her think tank, debating whether their actions were being directed by Councilwoman Qiao Xi and analyzing what the Intercontinental Stability Trauma Emergency Company behind her truly wanted.
But then, a message suddenly popped up on her private communication terminal.
It wasn’t an email, nor was it a standard terminal message.
Instead, a strange window had simply appeared.
As if her terminal had a virus.
Aishwarya’s first reaction wasn’t to read the message. Instead, she activated her council-level network firewall and initiated a trace.
But she found absolutely nothing.
Aishwarya had no way of knowing that Qiao Xi had tried something similar a few years ago.
Qiao Xi, in fact, had far more resources at her disposal than Aishwarya did.
Even Qiao Xi had failed to locate Guang Ling, ultimately choosing to cooperate with them to some degree.
With Aishwarya’s capabilities, how could she possibly find any trace of Guang Ling’s work?
The network firewall seemed completely useless; its AI couldn’t even detect the window’s existence.
The window was like a phantom, as if it didn’t exist in reality at all.
Only then did Aishwarya turn her attention to the window’s contents.
