Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1094 - 1133: Exposed
I was planning to find an excuse like a business trip in the next couple of days to secretly check on Kyle’s situation in W City without letting Alice know. But now it seems I don’t need any excuse. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
When Dorian Howards and Alice Conley arrived in J City, they only saw Caleb and didn’t see Kyle Kinston.
"Where’s Kyle? You mentioned earlier that he was coughing up blood; how is he now?" Dorian asked.
"He’s been examined. The doctor said Elder Kinston experienced excessive stress all at once and was too exhausted after three days and nights without rest, but there’s no major issue," Caleb replied.
Alice was startled, realizing that Kyle was indeed coughing up blood. However... "Did Mabel really board that sunken ship?" That’s what she wanted to know most.
"Yes, the surveillance we found confirms that Mrs. Kinston did board the ship, and just now..." Caleb hesitated before continuing, "we received news that some rescued individuals pointed out that Mrs. Kinston had a scuffle with Cecil Quinn as the ship sank and was pushed into the water by him."
Alice was stunned, taking a while to react—realizing that Cecil Quinn was indeed Mabel’s brother’s name.
"What do you mean, Cecil Quinn was on that ship too and pushed Mabel into the water?" Alice said in disbelief.
"According to several witnesses’ testimonies, this is how it happened. Elder Kinston is currently handling the matter," Caleb said.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Cecil Quinn was being interrogated by the police. Initially, he considered himself lucky to have survived the shipwreck, as he wasn’t injured. So instead of going to the Hospital, he checked into a government-arranged temporary hotel.
He had stayed in W City these last few days due to compensation matters. However, before those issues could be resolved, he was brought into the police station.
The interrogation concerns relating to Mabel Quinn.
Naturally, Cecil was keen to absolve himself of all responsibility, insisting that he wasn’t fighting with Mabel but was trying to swiftly bring her onto a lifeboat. Instead, Mabel wanted to go back for her belongings. As for him pushing Mabel into the sea, Cecil denied it entirely, claiming that the waves were too strong and Mabel fell in herself. He insisted he tried to grab her, not push her.
"I know, doubts benefit the defendant. You can’t just wrongfully accuse me based on a few people’s random words. Do you have other evidence? Is there any video? Any surveillance? Without physical evidence, why say I pushed someone into the sea!" Cecil argued fervently. This argument was his most foolproof plan from these past days. "Besides, the situation was so chaotic back then, how can you be sure what those people saw was real?"
In the interrogation room, Cecil painted himself as innocent, even pretending with tearful eyes, "Mabel is my sister. Why would I push her into the sea? I tried to save her. You mustn’t err in judgment and create a false case."
But before the police could speak, the interrogation room door swung open, and a tall figure walked in. When Cecil saw who entered, a chill climbed up from his feet.
It was Kyle Kinston!
Kyle Kinston appeared in front of him once again!
