Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1150 - 1189: Prizes
"That’s right, why can’t Atlas become my daddy?" The little one reacted and asked.
Mabel Quinn was taken aback and stumped. How was she supposed to answer that? Looking at the two pairs of eyes staring at her, she could only vaguely reply, "Because Ivy’s daddy is up in the sky. If Atlas became daddy, Ivy’s daddy would cry."
The little one struggled for a while before finally accepting this reality.
Atlas Shaw, meanwhile, was looking thoughtfully at Mabel Quinn through the rearview mirror.
At the mall, Atlas Shaw accompanied Mabel and her daughter while they shopped. He had swapped his sunglasses for a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, which made him look much more cultured; his demeanor was that of a playful, frivolous aristocrat, completely different from his usual self.
It seemed young Katherine Quinn was quite used to Atlas’s transformation; every time they went out with Atlas, he often didn’t resemble himself.
In Atlas’s words, it was to avoid being recognized.
Though the little one couldn’t quite understand why Atlas needed to avoid being recognized when he was with them.
While Mabel Quinn was picking out clothes for her daughter, Atlas Shaw leisurely followed behind.
However, being a movie star, no matter how much his demeanor changed, his looks remained the same, so a girl who got closer suddenly exclaimed with surprise, "Atlas Shaw, is that you?"
"Atlas Shaw? Oh, you mean that actor? People often mistake me for him. Even a talent scout approached me once asking if I’d be interested in acting, but I don’t like acting, nor do I like being mistaken for someone else," Atlas said, with a slightly annoyed expression and a foreign accent that suggested he wasn’t fluent in Mandarin.
Immediately, the excited girl looked disappointed and repeatedly apologized, "Sorry, I got the wrong person."
Mabel Quinn saw Atlas Shaw subtly wink at her, clearly showcasing how he had bamboozled yet another fan with his acting skills.
After they finished buying clothes for the little one, the three left the mall and saw a big stage outside, hosting an event where some new unknown singers were being promoted. The event invited ordinary attendees to interact and sing with the singers, with prizes awarded to the first, second, and third place.
The little one’s eyes were glued to the second prize, a life-sized teddy bear.
"Mommy, the bear!" the little one clamored.
Meanwhile, Mabel Quinn was listening as the host introduced the prizes for first, second, and third places. When the host got to this teddy bear, he explained that it was a special limited edition bear co-designed by movie star Atlas Shaw and this brand, something that couldn’t be bought even with money.
The young Katherine Quinn was very fond of that bear, especially after learning of its connection to Atlas, which heightened her desire to own it.
Atlas Shaw, on the other hand, was in a sulk. The bear was something he had casually doodled back then, not expecting the little one to like it. He recalled that the manufacturer said they’d send him a sample, which he apparently had his agent donate.
Moreover, the bear had been around for several years. Even if he wanted one exactly like it now, it would be impossible to find.
