Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1260 - 1299: Daniel Harris Calls
His body went rigid. Her words made it seem as if her daughter meant everything to her, and as for him, it felt like he meant nothing.
"If one day, it was me who got hurt, would you feel even a tiny bit of pain for me? Would you want to protect me a little?" His gaze fixed steadily on her, fingers involuntarily lifting, as if wanting to touch her face.
She abruptly turned her head, "Who could possibly hurt you?"
"Indeed, who could hurt me?" His empty hand slightly clenched. The only person who could truly hurt him was probably her.
The little one was completely unaware of the undercurrents between the two adults and was just happily enjoying her pleasure.
After finishing the pirate ship ride, Kyle Kinston was the first to pick up the little one and said to Mabel Quinn, "I won’t let go anymore. She is also my daughter. If anything really happens, you can just go ahead and shoot me."
Mabel Quinn was momentarily stunned, only to see Kyle Kinston already off the boat with the little one in his arms. She bit her lip slightly and followed off the ship.
In the amusement park, there were many staff members dressed in costumes, posing as cartoon characters to take pictures with tourists. When the little one saw this, she demanded to take a picture. So, Mabel Quinn let the little one pose with the cartoon characters while she took the photos.
But the little one wasn’t satisfied and cried out, "Daddy and Mommy should also take a picture with Ivy!" Clearly, she had seen a family of three taking a picture with the cartoon characters and wanted the same.
Kyle Kinston raised an eyebrow, yet stood gracefully beside his daughter, while Mabel Quinn hesitated. A nearby staff member who wasn’t in costume stepped forward and offered to help take the picture.
With their daughter urging nonstop, Mabel Quinn walked over and stood on the other side of her daughter for the photo.
"Come on, smile," the staff member instructed. Mabel Quinn looked down at her daughter’s bright smile, then inadvertently met those deep-set eyes.
Kyle Kinston was also looking over at her.
Mabel Quinn quickly averted her gaze, redirecting her focus to the staff member helping her take the picture.
After taking several photos, the staff member returned the phone to Mabel Quinn.
Mabel Quinn glanced through the photos taken, only to find that the moment she and Kyle Kinston had exchanged glances was also captured in the phone.
During the brief exchange, she had only looked away for a split second and hadn’t thought much of it. But now, looking at the photo, it seemed as though his gaze held countless unspoken words, yet remained silent.
The little one, now being held by Kyle Kinston, craned her little head to look at the pictures on Mabel Quinn’s phone. Upon seeing that particular photo, she giggled, "Daddy is looking at Mommy, and Mommy is looking at Daddy!"
A wave of embarrassment crossed Mabel Quinn’s face as she quickly put away her phone.
By noon, they ate at a small restaurant in the amusement park. After finishing her meal, the little one was bursting with energy and ran to the children’s play area in the restaurant to play with other kids.
Because their seats were right beside the play area, Mabel Quinn stayed seated, eating while watching her daughter play inside.
Suddenly, her phone rang. Mabel Quinn glanced at the caller ID and saw it was a call from Daniel Harris.
