Chapter 1276: Chapter 1315: No Sympathy

My aunt even bluntly told her parents, "Your daughter has offended Kyle Kinston. No matter how much money we lend you, it would just be wasted. I advise you to use the remaining money to live a stable life."

The remaining money... how could it be enough for a stable life? Is she supposed to live like an ordinary citizen, wearing cheap clothes costing hundreds, living in a small Apartment Complex, scrimping and saving?

No, she absolutely couldn’t take it!

She didn’t want to go to the Corporation to embarrass herself, as many people there knew her. So she intentionally waited at Kyle’s house, hoping he would give her and her family a way out.

But Kyle responded coldly, "Why shouldn’t I treat you this way? Since you could take action against me, you should be prepared to face the consequences."

Francine Howards gritted her teeth; she never considered having to face any consequences, she only wanted to be Kyle’s wife in the future.

At the moment, Mabel Quinn, sitting in the back seat, looked at Francine Howards. Although Francine’s face was still adorned with exquisite makeup, it couldn’t hide her haggard and desolate state. Even wearing designer clothes now only seemed like she was putting on an act.

The once arrogant Francine now seemed pitiable, but Mabel wouldn’t sympathize with her in the slightest.

"Mommy, why is this lady blocking the car?" A childish voice rang in the carriage, drawing Francine’s attention to Mabel sitting in the back with her daughter.

Instantly, Francine felt a sickening sense of embarrassment—Mabel had seen her like this!

But thinking of her current predicament, Francine forced a pathetic smile and said, "Mabel, no matter what issues we have between us, at least we both love the same man, right? You’re Mrs. Kinston—I know that now. So, could you let Kyle spare me and my family? I don’t want my personal feelings to drag my family down."

Though she appeared to be yielding, inside Francine was cursing Mabel to death.

Mabel, however, merely looked at her coldly and said, "Francine Howards, whatever you did, it’s your responsibility—it has nothing to do with me. Why should I speak for you? What are you to me anyway?"

Francine almost broke her teeth clenching them; she had lowered herself this much, yet Mabel still wouldn’t relent.

"Mabel Quinn, you are truly vicious," Francine said coldly. "Don’t tell me you said something to Kyle, which is why he’s acting this way towards me."

This cold gaze made Mabel frown; she wanted to cover her daughter’s eyes for fear of scaring her, but her little one was unafraid, glaring with her large eyes at Francine, saying in a childish voice, "You’re a bad person, I won’t let you bully Mommy, I... um, will take you down with Daddy!"

The little one initially wanted to take Francine down herself, but after assessing the situation, she decided to add her dad to her team.

If Francine weren’t stopped outside the car, she really wanted to hit this child.
