Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree

The Angel seen earlier had long disappeared, yet upon approaching the mountains, Four Seasons Rain started to feel an emerging excitement.

He clearly sensed the density of Magic Power was much richer here, even the plants growing around were more luxuriant, and he occasionally saw some magical plants that were rare even in the realm of the Elves.

Even if he didn’t mention the Angel earlier, he was deeply intrigued by this area, and naturally, if he could trigger some kind of plot, that would be even better.

"Ahead is the forbidden sanctuary, the place where the Lords reside, Lord Guy, Lord Surt, and other great beings slumber within the sanctuary..."

"We can only look from here, there’s no way to enter."

Lina said, driving the carriage.

"No way to enter?"

Gazing at the mountains ahead, Four Seasons Rain furrowed his brows.

"Yes."

Lina nodded.

"Will someone stop us?"

"No, it’s just literally impossible."

Lina said.

After speaking, she jumped down from the carriage, headed to the end of the road, and gently extended her hand.

A peculiar scene unfolded; she quickly touched an invisible barrier, causing transparent ripples to appear, and then... she could advance no further.

"You see, only the chosen ones can cross this barrier."

She blinked her innocent eyes and turned back to Four Seasons Rain.

Four Seasons Rain furrowed his brows.

He too jumped down from the carriage and walked to the side of the Beastman girl, carefully looking into the air in front of her.

He saw nothing.

He thought for a moment, then tentatively extended his hand forward...

"It’s useless."

Watching his actions, the girl shook her head.

However, her expression froze the next moment.

The hand Four Seasons Rain extended did not encounter any obstruction, but easily crossed the invisible barrier.

"Hmm... seems like I can go in?"

He touched his nose.

At the same instant, he felt a stir in his heart, looking into the depths of the mountains...

He sensed an inexplicable call, as if summoning him to proceed.

"It feels like... something is calling me."

Four Seasons Rain murmured.

"I’ll go take a look, Lina, you head back first."

With that, he took a deep breath and walked towards the mountains.

"Mr. Elf!"

Lina called out to him, yet Four Seasons Rain had already entered the mountains.

His figure soon vanished into the deepening night.

Lina opened her mouth, but eventually stomped her foot and withdrew back into the carriage.

Upon entering the mountains, the mysterious calling grew increasingly stronger.

Guided by the stirring in his heart, he continued moving in the direction of the call.

The night gradually came, revealing an endless starry sky above, while within the mountains, a silent yet bustling night unfolded.

The mountain forest at night was somewhat chilly, with a bright moon hanging high in the sky.

Beautiful, dreamy fireflies danced between the trees, with crisp and melodious insect chirping echoing, occasionally accompanied by night breezes rustling the leaves.

Advancing along the winding mountain path in the darkness, Four Seasons Rain finally reached an expanse of towering mountain peaks.

Standing atop the mountain and looking down, he could see in the night a magnificent, ancient temple, as if an aged relic nestled within the forest, massive and awe-inspiring.

However, Four Seasons Rain didn’t head towards it.

The call was elsewhere, behind the peaks, growing ever stronger.

He continued walking towards the source of the call, continuously climbing, until he arrived at the entrance of a deep cave.

The call was precisely from within the cave.

Staring into the depths of the cave where it was unfathomable, Four Seasons Rain hesitated.

But soon, he made up his mind, chanting an incantation to summon an apprentice-level Lighting Technique, and ventured into the cave.

The cave was deep, yet warm.

Four Seasons Rain explored for a long time before reaching its end.

The cave ended at a giant stone, carved with mysterious patterns he couldn’t understand.

It was the source of the summoning.

Four Seasons Rain couldn’t resist extending his hand to touch the stone, and the moment he made contact, brilliant light burst forth from the stone, the mysterious patterns suddenly illuminated, the glow connecting to form a tapestry, rapidly engulfing him...

The next second, Four Seasons Rain disappeared.
