Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 138: Punishments and Humiliation
Aselia knew punishment will be strict and she had been anticipating something along similar lines. There was going to be so much hostility against her and she would have to bear it all.
"I am ready for their punishments and humiliation but remember if anyone tried to sexually assault me, I will rip his or her head off. And they better remember my body only belongs to Xiran. Rest they can do whatever they want with me. I won’t complain."
There was so much haughtiness and defiance in her words as she held her head high. An ironic smile adorned her lips and Aldridge remembered the threat Xiran had posted before leaving. He knew Xiran’s threats were not empty.
Aldridge nodded and left after issuing his punishment but the hunters she had attacked wanted retribution too and she was about to feel their fury, they now thought of her as a traitor. For she had openly attacked them while enabling the enemy to escape.
The Hero White Falcon had swiftly turned into a Traitor White Falcon. One wrong move and everyone forgot the endless years she had given to this organization, the countless missions she had completed, the arduous hours she had put in the training, even forgetting she was a girl and trained harder than the men around her.
Over the next three days, she bore the humiliation of her fellow hunters. Remaining tied to the chair she was in a vulnerable state as they hurled curses at her, some threw raw eggs to show their disgust. Some injected her with serums which caused excruciating pain in every muscle of her body.
She bore it all and she bore it in silence just like Xiran had done, for they were very much alike. Both were extremely stubborn and egoistic, bending down and submitting was not in their nature.
The Wasp was the worst, for one she was the partner of Black Raven, and while the man wanted Aselia for his sexual needs Wasp wanted Yurian at every cost. She detested Aselia and this was Wasp’s chance to carry out her revenge on her.
Aselia had just dozed off for a few seconds when Wasp threw a cold mixture of eggs and milk on her face, startling the elven hunter awake and shouting:
"After what you did to my partner, you think I will let you sleep a wink." Wasp gave her a disgusted look as eggs and milk slimmed down Aselia’s face and hair.
"If your partner had kept his hands to himself, this might not have happened in the first place," Aselia replied calmly not giving Wasp the satisfaction of seeing her get riled up.
"You are no longer my senior and I will make your life a living hell now. You should tremble thinking about what I have in store for you," Wasp spat out, her hands itching to grab Aselia by the hair. But, Aldridge had given strict instructions that no one was to physically touch Aselia.
"I highly doubt it Wasp, you are only a Silver-ranked hunter, you lack the discipline which is needed to become a specialized hunter. You can’t even land a hit on me, how will you make me submit to you? I don’t fear you, you are so insignificant that I don’t even care about your existence." Aselia gave her a mocking smile, this made Wasp’s blood boil and she yelled at Aselia:
"I don’t understand what Yuri even sees in you, you are pathetic. Choosing a bloody vampire over your organization, how low can you fall?"
"The fact that he would never choose you makes you even more pathetic than I am. And as low as it takes me to keep him safe from the likes of you." Aselia’s smile widened while Wasp gritted her teeth, wanting to punch Aselia so badly. She stomped her feet and walked out. Knowing she couldn’t win against her verbally or physically.
Wasp’s actions didn’t stop here though. She would bring delicious food and sit in front of Aselia and eat. Though Aselia was dying of hunger by the third day, she couldn’t help but smile at the childish actions of the Wasp. For her, hunters like Wasp were a disgrace to their organization, their childish behaviour and need to put others down to rise the ranks would cause them irreparable damage in the future.
Wasp bit into a juicy chicken piece and taunted Aselia: "Don’t know what spell you have caused on Yurian, Aldridge had to restrain him too as he wouldn’t stop from trying to come here. My heart breaks to see him chained and as much as I want to see you suffer, I hate to think he would have to suffer along with you."
This distressed Aselia, she didn’t want Yurian to get hurt because of her. She hoped they weren’t starving him as well. "I hope you people had the sense to at least feed him."
"I will never let him starve or use him for my personal agendas, unlike you. You should be ashamed of yourself. Making your partner suffer for your selfish desires." Wasp’s words were stinging just like her name and Aselia felt guilt wash over her.
"Just don’t let him starve," Aselia pleaded quietly before shutting her eyes. The physical and mental anguish, mingled with starvation she was facing, proved too much and she lost consciousness.
When she opened her eyes again, she was no longer tied to a chair. Scanning her surroundings she found herself to be in a small room, which had a single chair and table in the corner and a small cupboard on one side. Yurian was sitting on the chair and he sprung up with a wide smile, seeing her awake.
"Partner, you are up," He rushed to her side and helped her up. Propping the pillow behind her, he helped her sit down.
"How are you feeling? I brought you food." The young boy quickly carried the tray and brought it to her side. Aselia’s empty stomach growled loudly, seeing the food he had brought and she glanced at her hands and clothes. They were clean, someone had washed her up and she stared back at Yurian with questioning eyes.
"Oh! You were a mess. I had to take help from Dr. Sumirea to clean you up. That woman admires you. She did it alone, I stayed out." He clarified the questions Aselia was unable to ask.
"Thank you, Yuri. I apologise for the mess I created that hurt you in the process. Xiran freed himself and I had to help him escape." Aselia’s voice was guilt-ridden and she was fighting back tears.
"Hey! Hey, no apologies. I should be the one to apologise, I couldn’t help you. They sedated me so I wouldn’t be able to turn and visit you. They didn’t let me bring you food. Sorry about how they treated you." Yurian placed his hand on Aselia’s shaky shoulder. His voice shook with concern for her.
"It’s alright, I expected this much from them. Did they give me this room now?" Aselia asked surveying the small room which was stingy and dark.
"Yes, but I saved all of your stuff, especially his hair. I have placed them in the cupboard," he responded uncomfortably, knowing this room wouldn’t be comfortable for a girl.
"Thank you, Yuri, I can never repay your kindness and definitely couldn’t have survived all this without you on my side. And I don’t mind the room, just need it for sleeping." Aselia gave him a small reassuring smile, understanding his apprehensions.
"Eat now, you have been starved enough," he pushed the tray towards her and she took the rice bowl and slowly began to eat with her trembling hands. Everything had taken a toll on her emotional state as well as her physical state.
Yurian observed her silently for two minutes and then carefully took the bowl from her hands. "Let me," he filled the spoon with rice and offered it to her with a warm smile.
Aselia gazed at him with gratitude and began to eat. "How is Raven?" She nervously asked.
"He is out of danger but some of the bones in his right arm might not heal properly and his vocal cords were affected, so it would take him some time to start speaking clearly again," Yurian explained while feeding her rice.
"I see, I had to beg Xiran to let him go. He wanted to kill him. I think he got himself free when Raven tried to touch me," Aselia summed up and Yurian nodded before saying:
"And if he knew how they have treated you, I am sure he will kill the rest of them as well. He is scary when angered."
"That’s why I won’t tell him when I speak with him."
"Here, I know you would want to talk to him." Yurian took out her phone from his pocket and handed it to her. It was switched off.
"Talk to him, he would be worried for you," Yurian smiled at her.
Aselia switched on her phone and all hell seemed to break loose because of hundreds of texts coming through and her cell phone began constantly beeping.
