Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 209: Black Again?
A permanent smile got etched on his handsome face hearing her express herself so openly to him and he collected her in his arms and murmured:
"I can’t express my feelings in words anymore, no words can define the love I have for you."
"I know because I can feel it in my bones," she smiled back and continued saying:
"Everything aside but 53 women, that’s a huge number. I know you have no shame but can’t really blame the girls because look at you," she chuckled.
"Yeah, and also I found it hard to say no to anyone. That’s something I am learning now, self-restraint," he had a sly smile on.
"Yeah, Xiran the playboy," Aselia added with a hint of sarcasm and made a clucking sound with her mouth and he pursed his lips to not laugh.
"Imagine, what would have happened if we had met in a bar or someplace else," Xiran wondered aloud.
"I would have probably kicked your ass like I just did," Aselia shrugged with a meh expression and Xiran chortled.
"Probably, but now I am a changed man. I don’t go whoring around anymore."
"Good, because things won’t end well for you or anyone who would dare to intimately touch you now," there was a devilish smile playing on Aselia’s cherry lips.
"Ahhh, I like the colour of jealousy on you," he teased her. "Maybe, I should make you feel jealous every once in a while," a mischievous smile had crawled back onto his handsome face.
"Maybe, I should pull your ears more," Aselia leaned forward and pulled his right ear.
"Ouch, ouch. Ok, sorry ma’am Aselia. I apologize, let go," he pleaded with bunny eyes and Aselia couldn’t contain her laughter.
"I was right, you are a bunny vamp. Just looking at your adorable eyes makes my heart melt. No wonder women fall at your feet. You are a piece of art, seriously."
"My charms have no bounds and I didn’t use to jail them until now," Xiran touched her smiling face. The jubilation he experienced seeing her happy was beyond expressable. How he wished she would always keep that smile on.
"You and your charms," she shook her head at him and he kept laughing at her disappointed reactions.
"Now my charms are only for my Leia, don’t worry. Other women don’t interest me anymore."
"They better not. Also, I am hungry now make me breakfast, I want to eat from your hands before leaving today," the realization that she had to leave today hit her with full force and sadness settled in her heart.
"Sure, what would you like to eat?"
"Anything you will make will do," she kissed his cheek making him smile even more.
"Alright, go get changed. I will make you breakfast and then we will leave here. We will have extra security today, especially considering we have that peace meeting coming up. I want everything to pan out smoothly without my father interfering with our plans," Xiran explained how the day will pan out for them.
"I understand," she said as Xiran wrapped the towel around her before she got up, collecting her clothes from where she had heaped them, she carried them inside and up the stairs.
Back in her room Aselia opened her cupboard and began to inspect the clothes. She chose a sky blue suit jacket with matching suit pants and a white shirt. She wanted a professional look for today.
Taking a hot bath she stepped outside and got dressed. She collected her stuff from the room and packed her suitcase, especially packing his white shirt with wings. Aselia then did some light makeup and completed her look with some light blue moccasins.
Seizing a headband after combing her hair back, she styled them with it in such a fashion that it also hid her ears underneath it.
She headed down to find her boyfriend. He was already in the kitchen making her breakfast but what disappointed her was to see he had changed his clothes but to all black again. Black dress pants and a matching black shirt. His hair were neatly tied in a ponytail. Xiran appeared like a movie star ready to head out for some award event.
"Why are you wearing black again?" she didn’t like this colour on him. He was always unpredictable when adorning black and she didn’t have a positive vibe coming from him.
"Don’t I look handsome?" he raised his hands to show her his tapered body, his shirt hugging him too tightly. His own eyes landed on Aselia and flew open in astonishment.
"You always look handsome," she complimented him, knowing he had purposely dodged her question.
"I do? Well, look at my Leia, she looks more beautiful than ever," he adored this look on her and she smiled.
"Thanks," she mumbled while blushing under his compliment.
"Let me get a picture of you," he took out his phone and captured her smiling in it. Beautiful memories that he will cherish forever.
"Come let’s eat, Carios will be here soon to take us to Mazitine’s office. Your superior will be arriving in two hours and so will Amonidus," Xiran filled her in while both of them picked up their food and headed for the table to eat.
Rony came wobbling towards them and settled down near Aselia’s foot.
"Woof!" he announced his presence making both of them smile.
"Hey! Buddy have some rest, we will be heading to a new place today," Aselia beamed down at the fur ball and he just nuzzled along with her feet.
"He has become so attached to you in such a little time," Xiran spoke while eating a spoonful of porridge.
"Yes, he will remind me of you and I will have someone to snuggle with," she beamed at Xiran who laughed in return.
"This porridge is delicious, you are the best cook in the world," Aselia spoke between mouthfuls and he just watched her with serenity enveloping his sharp facial features.
"Thank you, and you are the biggest fan of this cook," Xiran took a bow making her chuckle. They finished their breakfast.
The car entered the driveway. Carios and Frila descended after it stopped and made their way in. Both girls hugged each other while Carios placed all of Aselia’s luggage inside the car.
"I hope to see you soon Frila, best of luck with your marriage preparation," she clutched Frila’s hands in hers.
"Same, Aselia. I will inform you of the date as soon as we set it, thank you."
"Aselia, let’s leave Rony with Frila for now. Carios will bring him around when you are about to leave," Xiran instructed and Aselia picked up Rony before hugging him and handing it carefully to Frila.
He whimpered, his ears downcast as if not wanting to be separated from her.
"Just a few hours buddy," Aselia patted him and ruffled his fur.
"Let’s go, it’s almost time now," Xiran offered his arm and Aselia gladly took it as they walked outside. Frila waved her goodbye with Rony in her arms.
Carios opened the car door for them and they both settled inside. Shutting the door, Carios took the driver’s seat and they headed out.
Aselia noticed that they were using a new car with tinted glass, probably for security reasons, they weren’t sure where someone would still be lurking.
"Aselia, here. I brought this for Yurian as you requested, I had placed the order on the same day but it arrived today. It’s not available in the market yet," Xiran handed her a slim cuboid silver box.
It was the latest edition tablet and Aselia was sure Yurian would be over the moon. He was such a nerd when it came down to gadgets.
"Thanks, he is going to love it. He has been talking about the release of this one and the look will be worth seeing on his face when I will give this to him," she chuckled imagining his reaction and Xiran smiled warmly and added:
"Most of the boys love gadgets."
"Xiran, how much is it? I will transfer you the money, I have your bank account number," Aselia inquired taking out her phone. Xiran tensed beside her, his jaw tightened and hands fisted. But Rivan’s voice echoed in his brain when he wanted to transfer her money for the gift she had bought for him. He wasn’t sure how to refuse her because she won’t accept it if he won’t take money from her.
"It’s free, the owner is an acquaintance of mine so he always sends me his latest designs," half of it was true but Xiran always paid for them, he didn’t accept anything free except from Rivan. He hated lying to her but he didn’t want to take her money, considering he couldn’t even give it to her anymore. She had forbidden him from doing that.
"Oh! I see. I hope it was not too much trouble," Aselia inquired.
"Not at all, your wish is my command," he reached out and cupped her cheek.
"Silah, that’s my real name. You asked me a while ago and I never told you. It’s Silah," she replied with a heavy heart.
