Her words and determination brought him satisfaction and the way she had kissed his forehead held all her sentiments and emotions, reserved only for him. Even though she was mad at him, she couldn’t see him in pain.

"We will," he closed his eyes and laid his head on her lap. Up close she could see how tired he was and those bags under his gorgeous eyes told her he hadn’t slept in a long time.

"Sleep for a while, you look tired," Aselia began to fondle his hair, they were open and dishevelled.

"There is nothing I can want more than sleep in your lap right now, but I have limited time. The situation back home is not stable and I can’t be away for long. I want to take you out," he opened his eyes and the veins in his eyes were red from lack of sleep.

"Xiran, you need sleep, you are too tired. I don’t want to go anywhere," she pleaded but he gently shook his head at her and spoke:

"It won’t be easy to get a chance like this again, I don’t want to miss this."

"Then drink, it always helps you replenish some of your energy," she offered him her arm by pulling up her leather jacket. He hadn’t been drinking properly, he hadn’t been eating or sleeping properly, he hadn’t been doing anything properly since she left.

Her offer was tempting and he couldn’t resist her anymore, for her scent was already overpowering him. Xiran gently took her arm and his canines protruded before they pierced her soft skin and sucked her sweet blood. The instant relief he felt was beyond explanation.

She let him drink to his heart’s content, his lips caressing her skin as he drank while her other hand didn’t leave his hair. Having his fill he finally stopped and his fangs retreated, but his lips stayed on her vein which throbbed under his soft touch.

His eyes closed and her wrist pressed to his lips, the tensions fled his body and for a short time, the world around him vanished along with its brutalities. Only he remained along with her existence.

When he opened those grey orbs again, she could see the stress had reduced along with those bags. This made her warmly smile at him, so she asked:

"Feeling better?"

"Yes, very much. Thank you my sweet Leia," he got up and pulled her up as well into his arms his hand resting on her left cheek while the other one held her waist.

"Happy Birthday my love, you look ravishingly beautiful," his gaze was so intense on her that Aselia was sure he could see right through her, sense all of her emotions and all of her longings. She gulped hard trying to escape his unsettling gaze but there was no escape and then he fiercely kissed her.

His lips were needy today not gentle and his tongue wanted to invade that bratty mouth of hers and feel the softness of her tongue and the hardness of her teeth. Aselia gasped and her lips parted to give him access and the silver-haired vampire wasted no time to enter her.

Their tongues entangled in a passionate dance to the music of their fast-beating hearts. Aselia grabbed his silver hair and moaned loudly in his mouth, her whole body shuddered under his hold and his grip tightened around her waist, not leaving a fraction of an inch between their impassioned bodies.

None of them wanted to let go of the other but Aselia was breathless from his onslaught on her tiny mouth so he let her breathe but held her close, touching his forehead to her he said: 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"Nothing consoles me more than to be near you, only I know how I survive away from my Leia."

"I know," she whispered and he hugged her for a few more minutes before letting her go. He adjusted her beanie and straightened her clothes.

"We have to go now," taking her hand in his, he brought her outside the restaurant. Yurian was waiting in his car as they approached him and he stepped outside the car. Seeing them holding hands, Yurian gave them a knowing smile.

"I am taking her along for a day. Once we return I will inform you and you can take her back," Xiran informed Yurian while still holding her close.

"Sure, I will return to headquarters for now, have fun," he winked at them.

"Thanks! man, I owe you big time," Xiran had this admirable look for the young boy in his eyes, he had been doing so much for them, lately.

"Consider it a thank you from my side for that tablet, it’s dope and I can’t stop playing games on it," he chuckled, his eyes blazed in excitement.

"It was nothing in comparison to what you have done, bringing her here was no less feat, considering the ticking time bomb she is," Xiran and Yurian chortled and Aselia crossed her arms.

"I am right here, you guys can see me, right?" she acted annoyed making them laugh even more and joke for a while.

They went their separate ways. Xiran had brought Rivan’s trusted chauffeur and his car along in his private jet. The chauffeur opened the back door for them as they approached and settled inside.

"Why was the restaurant empty?" she asked as soon as the car started to move.

"I rented it out for the day," he replied casually as if it wasn’t a big deal.

"The whole restaurant?"

"Yes," a sheepish smile tugged at his curved lips.

"And I am guessing Yurian was involved in all of your plans?" Aselia shook her head at him in disapproval.

"Yes, I pleaded with him, what happened to Yurian? You said he was sick. He didn’t tell me and I didn’t ask in case he felt uneasy," concern laced his voice for he had grown to like the boy.

Aselia sighed and explained everything, she told him his life story and he connected all the dots, and the picture became clear to him.
