Chapter 231: Emeradius City

The naughty glint in his eyes and the evil sexy smile on his perfect face made her heart flutter. His fingers traced every contour of her face, creating a pool of desire inside her. Any more and they will surely end up naked on these plush leather seats.

"Can we eat now? I am famished," she asked in a hitched voice, Xiran licked his lower lip and he didn’t let her go but said:

"Sure, but you are staying here, close to me," he shifted her so she would face the table, picking up the knife he handed to her. But Aselia took his hand and clasped it around the knife alongside her.

"Cut the cake with me," she gently asked and he nodded in approval while kissing the side of her neck.

They cut the cake and Aselia picked up a small slice and offered him a bite. Xiran not only ate the whole slice but slowly licked each and every finger of hers clean too, making her go crimson again and she wondered if there would ever be a time she won’t feel shy at his actions.

"Okay, now the rest of the cake is mine," she declared with finality and told him how she and Yurian have already eaten one cake today.

"Well it’s your birthday, you are allowed to eat as many cakes as you want. I was at Rivan’s place and couldn’t sleep, it was the middle of the night when I baked this for you, so I just added whatever I found," Xiran told her as Aselia observed how neatly and meticulously he had decorated the cake with strawberries, cream and chocolates.

Everything about him was neat and proper, be it his dressing sense, eating habits, cooking or language. She on the other hand was like a wild child who did everything on impulse.

"It’s so heartily made plus it’s delicious," she took a big chunk and placed it in her mouth, some of the cream got stuck on her upper lip.

Seeing that he got hold of her face and with a mischievous grin licked her upper lip with his coarse tongue, making her shudder in the process and yet relish in the feel it brought to her.

Their antics continued throughout the lunch and Xiran didn’t let go of his beautiful girlfriend for even a second. They finished their lunch and sat talking for a while when the pilot informed them they will be reaching their destination soon.

"We will take the car to the place I want to take you," Xiran informed her as they began to descend and she nodded. He handed her a white mask and wore one for himself.

"Please, don’t take it off," he requested her this time, remembering how she had done it the last time.

"Alright."

The jet landed and they made their way to the car, settling down they sped away to a destination unknown to Aselia.

"Where are we?" she inquired peeking outside.

"Emeraidus City," Xiran answered. It was named so because of its lush green lands and due to the sea which touched it had an emerald hue to it.

Lying on the borders of Tremais and Druhias, it fell under the jurisdiction of the latter continent, making it a free city. The landscape and terrain were so breathtakingly beautiful with its snowy mountain tops, lush green valleys and meadows, pristine lakes and waterfalls. It was considered the most beautiful place in their world and was nicknamed "Little Heaven."

"I have heard about this and always wanted to visit because of how beautiful it is, but never got a chance. Isn’t it ruled by a royal family?" Aselia inquired with her eyes wide open, seeing the beauty of this city and how organized and clean it was.

"Yes, I love this city. It gave me the idea to base mine on its principles," Xiran added, remembering how he had visited it during his youth and was so taken aback by its beauty.

"Wonderful. You know, they have their own secret organisation to deal with outside threats too. I have heard they only hire the best of the best vampires and other species. They are then rigorously trained, even more than hunters and turn them into professional modern-day warriors and assassins," Aselia confided in him. She had read about their organisation at great length.

"Yes, I have heard about it too."

"Isn’t access really difficult to get in this city, how is our driver just showing his card and gates are opening like no big deal?" Aselia was noticing there were a lot more check posts than in other regular cities but they were passing through with ease.

"I have someone I know here so he made me a pass card for check posts," Xiran explained the card their chauffeur has been showing.

"Oh! Good."

The road they were travelling on was the smoothest road she had ever seen, mountains looming in front with clouds and snow covering their tops. A small town with red, blue, green, and maroon-coloured houses lay at the base of these mountains.

The emerald sea lay to their left, it was called the Emaius sea. Their car took a left turn and headed in its direction, which lay between towering grey peaks.

The car finally halted near a vast piece of land that lay about 100 yards from the open sea, it was raised by a few steps and was lush green with grass and tiny purple flowers were strewn all over it.

Xiran stepped outside and offered his hand to Aselia who followed him. The air was crisp and salty which mingled with the scents of the flowers.

He guided her to the piece of land which was barricaded by a wooden fence. Opening the small door they entered it and he lead her to the edge from where a few steps led down to the seashore.

Aselia was totally lost in the beauty of this heavenly place. Xiran went behind her and entrapped her waist in his sturdy arms, his chin rested on her shoulder as he softly spoke:

"Leia...I bought this for you. I want us to make a home here one day. I want to build you a home here."
