Frila was glad to see them enjoying themselves. She sent a belated birthday wish to Yurian:

[Happy Belated Birthday Yurian. And I am so glad you guys had fun.] (inserted birthday celebration emojis)

Frila wasn’t sure if to send Aselia’s picture to Xiran or not. He might find some relief or it could swirl him into bouts of depression. She then decided to send him her picture and hoped that it would lift his mood.

Xiran had just woken up, he was still lying face down in bed when his phone chimed. Picking up he saw Frila’s message on the secure app and knew it would be related to Aselia.

Opening the message he found it was Aselia’s picture with a caption:

(Yurian’s Birthday Party)

She was sipping on a red drink and seemed happy. His heart’s irregular beats resonated in his chest as a warmth blanketed him seeing her after months. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

What astonished him was the fact that she had dressed up and even had make-up on. She hated doing that and it seemed like she was in a bar. Someone with a leather jacket sat beside her because he could see the part of his arm.

A surge of jealousy crept up on him. Who could that be? Because it wasn’t Yurian, but then he reminded himself of the reason he had let her go.

Didn’t he want her to be happy and live her life freely? That’s what she was doing now and he had no right to feel jealous. He had no right to think about whom she hung out with any longer. Then why did it hurt so much?

An interminable amount of pain had registered itself in his heart which never faded. He was happy and yet he was not because he wanted to be the only one to be near her and yet he couldn’t.

Hugging her picture to his heart he buried his face in the pillow and refused to get up. Morning dwelled into noon and then afternoon and then evening but he didn’t leave his room.

Agent 93 and Rivan called him several times but he didn’t pick up. Rivan asked Agent 93 to take him to Xiran’s house. Rivan had the extra key so he opened the door and went in and found him still in bed, wallowing in his miseries. The lights were off and he lay in complete darkness.

"Xiri! You need to answer the phone. You make us worry," he said while sitting beside him.

"Why are you here Rivan? If I had wanted to talk to you I would have answered the phone," his tone was dismissive.

"I am here because I care about your well-being and stop trying to push me away. You and I both know that will never happen," Rivan ignored his harsh tone, he knew Xiran did it on purpose to make him leave.

"What do you want?"

"We are going out and we are taking you with us. Fritez City is playing Emeradius City in the final of the Druhias Football Cup and we are going to watch it and you are coming with us," Rivan informed him before dragging him down from the bed and taking him towards the bathroom.

"Hey! Hey! Stop manhandling me," Xiran hollered like a wounded innocent girl.

"Be thankful I am not whipping your ass for always making us worry. Go change now," Rivan ordered by pointing to the bathroom with his finger.

"Ok, ok, you don’t have to be mean about it," Xiran cursed him under his breath.

"I can hear you," Rivan glared at him and wanted to whack him.

"That was the point," Xiran cursed him some more and taking out clothes from his cupboard, he walked into the bathroom, leaving Rivan to facepalm himself.

Once he was ready, both went outside to find Agent 93 waiting for them. He exclaimed:

"Oh! Yes, let’s hit the stadium and watch some football," Xiran gave him a bored look while Rivan appreciated his enthusiasm, the boy’s jolly nature was what Xiran needed to not fall into the deepest darkest pits of despair. They will always pull him out.

Getting in the car they headed for the stadium. Rivan called Rumail and he was already at the stadium waiting for their arrival. Xiran was staring outside the car with a blank expression while Agent 93 was humming in a playful tone.

Reaching the stadium they parked the car and headed in. It was bustling with activity as people from all walks of life were here to see their favourite vampire stars in action.

The tournament was held bi-yearly and it pulled tourists from all over the continent. Holding it this time of the year proved to bring out people who were too scared to step out of their houses due to the recent attack. It was to prove that peace and harmony had been restored.

Stadium lights had been turned on. The overall atmosphere that had been created was electric, to say the least. The sounds of cheering fans, the smell of freshly cut grass, the colourful jerseys of players, and the anticipation of the outcome of the game made it so.

A sea of Fans were creating a loud and energetic environment through chants, songs, and cheers for their favourite team and players. Supporters of Fritez City wore white and green, they waved flags and banners to show their allegiance. While the supporters of Emeradius City wore silver and blue according to the colours of their flag.

Xiran had hidden his face with a mask as they made their way to the VIP lounge and settled down where Rumail was already waiting for them with beer and snacks.

"Wow!" Agent 93 was starstruck as players filed out in neat lines and with the referee’s whistle the game kicked off.

The ambience of the football game had created a sense of excitement and passion among the boys and it made Xiran’s heart swell with happiness to see that it brought people together to enjoy the game.
