Hildara’s eyes flickered back to normal after this and she awkwardly blinked. Trying to figure out what had happened she felt spaced out for a second.

Armaros was watching her with haunting eyes as if he had seen a ghost. Seeing him Hildara asked in a confused state:

"What?" Armaros eyed her curiously before asking:

"You don’t remember what you just said?"

"I remember not agreeing to help you annihilate the elven race," he snickered at her answer, knowing she had just made a prophecy but forgotten about it.

Stepping closer to her he grabbed her by the neck and brought her closer to him before grunting in her ear:

"Join me and I will spare you and your family. I will make you affluent and everyone will respect you. Stand against me and I will end your life."

"Do it for I will never be part of a genocide," she calmly answered. Hildara was satisfied, she had found someone who had loved her unconditionally, who never found her ugly and she knew in her bones that he and her bracelet will keep her child safe.

She didn’t pray or wished herself to be safe instead she wished for her child and husband to be safe from the clutches of vampires, especially Armaros. For she could sense how dark his heart was.

Armaros glared at her with those dead eyes of his and only found determination in hers. He failed to understand why the woman who cursed the elven race in the first place now wanted to save them. Was it guilt? But in his mind, it was already too late and there would be no saving them. With Hildara out of the way, any magic or powers she possessed will die with her and there would be no stopping him.

His hand tightened around her neck and her veins began to blacken. She gasped for air as her eyes bulged out, but he didn’t stop. The moment blackness reached her heart, it stopped beating and her body went limp. Armaros let her go, and she hit the ground. Dying with knowledge of how the vampire race came to be.

"What a waste," Armaros clicked his tongue.

Her powers mutated a special gene in elves and they began birthing children who later on were recognized as vampires. But only the vampires who were hit with her surging wave which contained her powers received special traits and were considered original-born vampires.

Vampires born later or vampires born from mixed breeding were not that strong and lacked the speed and most powers. Hence, making it easier for hunters to kill them. Only original-born vampires which numbered in a few hundred posed a threat to hunters.

Hildara died that day but her daughter and husband lived on and Armaros was never able to find them. Aselia’s father was a direct descendant of Hildara’s bloodline while Rilias’s brother Arkins was the ancestor of Yurian.

Suhana was the only female elf in Rilias’s household. Since most of his family was killed by humans, they were overly protective of Suhana and cherished her beyond anything.

Once Rilias and Suhana passed away the bracelet travelled to the family of Rilias’s brother for safekeeping. Because Suhana didn’t have a daughter but only sons. Generation after generation it passed down among the Goldenhounds and they became its caretaker.

It was this bond between elves and golden hounds that travelled and got passed down to Yurian as well. For Aselia and Yurian shared ancestral roots, it was inborn in him to be overprotective of her. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Armaros made himself discreet after killing Princess Elsaine, his family and Hildara. The Royal family was out for his blood and being a powerful family many vampires sided with them.

Armaros decided to get stronger and raise his army before carrying out his plans so he began to operate from the shadows.

Over the centuries the kingdom of Wilsburj ceased to exist and was renamed Anthos. The royal family left it and set up their own city called Emeradius City and Zohane became its king. He later married twice and had five children with his two wives.

Amonidus followed them and being a powerful vampire, he soon took the continent of Druhias under his wing. He was always a man of reason and every time he met Armaros he tried to put some sense into him. But their objectives varied to such a degree that both friends drifted apart.

Armaros’s obsession to end every elf knew no bounds and once he was powerful enough and had enough people under his thumb he set his plans in motion.

During that period, he met an angel-like being; Surilla. He saw her in a park sitting among the flowers, gazing at them with a pleasant smile on her face. Although he had long given up on love, something stirred in his heart seeing her.

"It’s fine weather we have today," he commented approaching the spot she was sitting in near a flower bed of white lilies.

Her grey eyes flickered at him and shone brightly like night stars. Surilla had just landed on Altair and was studying the flora, fauna and people of this planet. She was mesmerized by the flowers so sat down to admire them and then this handsome man appeared.

"It is," she replied with a smile. There was something dark and ominous about the man and yet she felt drawn to him. His eyes reminded him of the skies.

"May I join you?" he asked with a cold smile.

"Sure," she patted the ground on her left side. He sat down and they got talking.

She didn’t give him a look of contempt like most women did instead she was intrigued by what he was for she wasn’t from this world but from another.

"I am Surilla. What’s your name?" she offered him her hand and he gently shook it.

"Armaros, glad to make your acquaintance,"

After a long long time, Armaros experienced his heart flicker a bit for a woman.

Where are you from?" he asked not understanding what she was.

"Somewhere far away," she chuckled slightly and her whole face seemed to glow.
