After their heated session, they washed and dressed up in beautiful attires left solely for them.

"Let’s sit outside while our hair dries," Aselia suggested and Xiran followed her lead.

Xiran lay down in the hammock that rested on the terrace-like protruding structure and Aselia climbed over him laying with her back resting on his chest. Their hands intertwined as they rested on Aselia’s belly.

Tranquillity and peace descended on them, their eyes were fixed on the silver-hued sky where cylindrical clouds were making their rounds. Gigantic birds soared towards unknown destinations and a chilly gale swept across making the leaves above them rustle.

"The peace here is mindblowing, I have never been this relaxed," Aselia murmured, drawing in a deep calm breath.

"And full," Xiran teased from underneath her, nipping playfully at her earlobe and she couldn’t help but enigmatically grin.

"Yes! It has been a wild ride so far. Still can’t believe we did it."

"It’s like we are in a dream and could wake up any instant," he sighed, wrapping her in his sturdy arms he began to rock the hammock, left and right.

"It’s not a dream Xiran. This is our reality and we should return to Altair soon. I miss everyone and they are going to be pissed," Aselia was torn between the two worlds but she knew they couldn’t settle on Tromalius.

"We will soon but for now I just want to be with you and no one else. We have earned this much, Leia. We have an eternal lifetime ahead of us," he diminished her apprehensions and she nodded.

They lay there in silence, Aselia’s eyes lingered on the tree and she tried to determine how tall it was for she couldn’t see the top.

"How far does it go? I wish to see the top," Aselia pointed and Xiran’s gaze followed hers as the giant tree extended towards the heavens.

"Let’s find out," he raised himself along with her from the hammock. And his silvery-white wings emerged. Cradling her in his arms his wings flapped behind him and they flew upwards.

"Wohhh!" Aselia exclaimed in excitement from the sudden rush of wind and adrenaline and he couldn’t help but chuckle at her sweet reaction.

Xiran flew alongside the tree, avoiding its extended branches so his wings wouldn’t tangle with them. They ascended for quite some time before the tip of the grandiose tree came into view.

"There," Aselia pointed out where the leaves had formed a cluster like cotton. Xiran moved towards the support and after checking the sturdiness of the branch, calmly settled Aselia on it as he hovered in the air alongside her.

"It’s so tall, I don’t think we can even see the bottom," Xiran glanced towards the ground but couldn’t see it, they were so high.

Aselia dangled her feet in the air as she held onto the branch and peered down, all she could see was the mass of intertwined bleached branches and leaves.

"This is insane, I have never sat on the tip of such a huge tree before. Come sit with me," she patted the branch and soon Xiran joined her. It was cold so high up but the scene before them was almost magical.

Aselia balanced herself and stood up, her hands holding onto the main trunk. Mischief was bubbling inside her, she wanted to tease him kike he always did.

"Careful," Xiran held out both his hands so she wouldn’t fall. But she had other plans.

"Xiran, if I jump from here, will you catch me?" she nonchalantly asked and he stared at her in astonishment. But before he could answer, Aselia leapt out of his reach and jumped down from the tree. Xiran’s hands were not fast enough as he lunged forward but could only grasp the thin air.

His heart almost stopped at her action, and with widened eyes, he instantly dived behind her, his wings opening midair.

"LEIA!" He shouted in frustration as she hurled down and he chased, his hair whipped back as he used his vampiric speed and caught her in no time. Xiran’s hands coiled around her waist, tugging her to his steely chest and he halted midair. His face was beetroot red in anger, the lines on his forehead creased as his greyish orbs blazed fire at her.

"What the hell? Are you out of your fucking mind?" he almost yelled, swiping away the golden locks from her face, her hair was a mess and she seemed extremely flustered. A mischievous smile was etched there.

"Sorry, I just needed a thrill," she playfully looped her arms around his neck and winked at him.

"Your thrill gave me a heart attack. What if you had gotten injured?" his free hand inspected her face for any injuries.

"That was my trust in you, I knew you would catch me before anything will happen," she clasped his face and cheekily grinned at him but he was far from being happy.

"A little warning next time, Leia. Don’t be the death of me," he reprimanded her and she couldn’t help but claim his annoyed thinned-out lips with her curved ones.

Her pinkish tongue nudged at his opening to drive home, he grunted but she pressed on. He heavily sighed and gave in, his lips parted and her slippery tongue slithered into his warm cavity, tasting every corner of it.

Her knee bent and grazed his inner thighs, waking up his sleeping dragon. A zap of electric shock rippled through his system and he wrenched his lips away from her, his darkened spheres glared at her mischievous ones.

"What are you trying to do?"

"I have no idea what you are referring to," she shrugged her shoulders and he knew she was incessantly teasing him.

"If you hadn’t been sore I would have taken you right here," he warned.

"I merely kissed you, my grumpy husband. Don’t know what have you riled up," Aselia laughed in her sing-song voice and Xiran couldn’t help but calm down. It was impossible to stay mad at her.

"Next time you try something like that, I will not be so lenient," he threatened and Aselia rolled her eyes at him and stuck her tongue out. None of his threats worked on her anymore.

"Well this won’t be the last time, I can assure you that. Take me for a round, I want to fly with you," Xiran shook his head at her, he wasn’t surprised that she wouldn’t listen to his warnings. Always challenged him and he loved this about her, she kept him guessing about her next move. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Keep your arms around my neck, we will soar up as far as we can go," this time she obeyed and his wings flapped before they lifted upwards, charging towards the sky.

"Here we go," she chanted and he slightly smirked at her enthusiasm. Her cheeks were like little ripe tomatoes and he desired to bite into them.

They kept soaring until they were almost surrounded by cylindrical clouds and the atmosphere turned extremely chilly. Aselia’s teeth began to chatter and Xiran halted, knowing they were high enough.

The sun’s setting rays lit up Aselia’s face and hair as she waved her hands trying to catch the fluffy clouds. This is what she had always dreamt of, to fly with him and be surrounded by cotton-like clouds. Her wish came true but in a whole new world.

"Xiran! I always wanted to ask you to do this. Thank you for fulfilling my desire," she pecked the tip of his nose. While he flew her above the cylindrical cloud.

"You want another adventure?" he questioned, this time his eyes danced at the precipice of naughtiness.

"Yes," the word was merely out of her mouth when Xiran removed her hands from around his neck and let her drop. He watched her for a millisecond as her pupils dilated in shock before he disappeared from the spot.

Aselia fell through the cloud, shuddering, cold and wet. As soon as she emerged, Xiran appeared out of thin air and caught her in his strong arms, clutching her waist, and knocking the air out of her. This time it was he who smiled smugly at her bewildered expression.

"I learnt a new trick, Uncle Sulran has been teaching me how to teleport."

"My goodness, it was exhilarating. We should do it more often, I loved it," she wrapped her arms around him and shouted, still trying to catch her breath as her heart pounded strongly in her chest.

"Don’t worry, we will. I am slowly getting the hang of it. But for now, we should head back, I don’t want you catching a cold," her hands and arms around his neck were freezing cold. So, Xiran didn’t waste any time and teleported back to their bedroom and tucked her under the warm sheets.

Aselia rubbed her arms and Xiran climbed inside with her, providing his body heat. She clung to him seeking all the warmth he always offered her.

"Thank you," she whispered along his neck, her cold breath stirring his desire to possess her again. Her hands fumbled with his belt and she threw open his gown, feeling the hard contours of his chest. And letting his urges take over, Xiran pinned her underneath him and climbed on her trembling body. It was time to kiss her whole.
